JULIA’S STYLE: My style is not very “fashion-y". I wear regular-girl clothes for a regular-girl budget. With me, it’s always colorful, all the time! My style is preppy with a little bit of NYC edge thrown in once in a while. My trademark look is colorful J.Crew jeans, silk blouse, and a blazer. And most of the time, you’ll find me in stripes.

INSPIRATION:  Inspiration is everywhere in New York City. I pull it from women walking down the street, store windows, and my amazing group of girlfriends who are all stylish in their own ways.

WHAT EXCITES YOU THE MOST IN LIFE? .What gets me excited in life is knowing that I’m following my dreams. I recently quit my job to run an online shop that sells women’s accessories and jewelry. The fact that I was gutsy enough to do that makes me feel so good. Plus now I get to work for myself and create my own schedule!

WHO DO YOU CONSIDER TO BE THE MOST EMPOWERING INDIVIDUAL? The most empowering woman to me…Or better said, the woman who I look up to most is Jenna Lyons. I, of course, love her fashion sense but am also impressed by her tenacity, intelligence, and her courage to be different from the pack. She, to me, is the most influential person in modern day fashion.

WHAT ROLE DOES SOCIAL MEDIA PLAY IN YOUR LIFE? Oh social media… It plays a huge roll in the blogging world and now that I’m running a business, it’s even more important. I LOVE using my Instagram and Pinterest since the visual stuff comes so naturally to me. I have a harder time with Facebook and Twitter but learn something new every day!

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO WEARING THE MOST THIS SUMMER? This summer I look forward to wearing shorts all day every day. I love how these days a pair of shorts with the right shoes and accessories can be even fancier than a dress. And what’s not to love? They’re comfy, cute, and super sexy!

WHAT IS ON YOUR SUMMER PLAYLIST? I run a lot so my summer playlist consists of a lot of Skrillex. That is what gets me pumped up when I exercise and when I work. I know it seems a little hard core but seriously try going on a Skrillex kick for a few days and you’ll see what I mean!
