Semi update on my Henry Wu collection lol (excuse the photo quality)

I still need to switch out the shelves cause the sunflowers are not gonna match what I have planned.

The little acrylic stand on the bottom left I commissioned from @cheruv-ii cause the only Dominion Wu merch is the Lego minifigure that doesn't really look like him.

Hey just a general PSA from someone officially diagnosed and documented:

Now is not the time to seek out an autism diagnosis.

RFK's plans have been made very clear and any diagnosis you do get will get you put on this "national disease registry" they're proposing.

Trust me when I say I completely understand the need for accommodations and a better understanding of yourself, but if you have gone this long without being diagnosed, you will be better off waiting.

Furthermore, listen to and advocate for folks who are diagnosed, especially folks with higher support needs. They'll be the first ones targeted for whatever bullshit "experimental treatments" the government tries to push.

Stay safe and look out for your neighbor.

oh, my post about trumpy and DOGE targeting the IMLS / Institute of Museum and Library Science has 5k likes already. I wrote it really fast and with a terrible headache, so it's not a very good post. I hope I'm not getting you all down, we need to hold on to hope right now.

I don't know what to do about it. Call your reps and complain, that's a given, but ultimately no one knows what happens now. The museums which still exist do not have the space and resources to take on all of the material that will likely need homes in the near future as grants run out and positions are eliminated. We in the "industry" just keep showing up to work, doing our jobs on a shoestring and trying to not remind each other too much about how bad it is. The atmosphere is very tense.

I can share how to help one museum: PRI Museum of the Earth in Ithaca NY, where I worked a few years ago, is in danger of closing this year because of this executive order garbage AND because additional rich people are now withdrawing money they had previously pledged to donate. They take donations and they have an online store with plush toys and apparel and other things, they're good quality. As far as I know, nearby Cornell University is not doing anything to help, so they've had to reach out to the public. It's a fantastic place, if you have something to spare I'm sure they appreciate it.

On April 16th 2025 the US federal government has proposed to change the interpretation of the endangered species act so that it no longer protects habitat.

This is open for public comment until the end of May 19th. Please comment and make your voice heard.

Wildlife need their habitat. If the ESA redefines harm so that habitat is no longer protected, the implications for wildlife would be catastrophic.

Here’s an interesting fact that can tie in with the Owen Grady interactions headcanon. Take them as canon or not but the only two times Wu has mentioned him by name in the JWE games, is in relation to dangerous theropods.

I unfortunately cannot share the clip but when releasing a Carnotaurus in JWE2, he has this dialogue.

If you're still doing the headcanons thing, can I ask if you have any for Henry Wu??

I think he was upset to abandon his genetic modification projects on isla sorna that resulted in the spinosaurus and stuff. He was never interested in the militarization of dinosaurs he just wanted to play god. God forbid gay men do anything.

- The indoraptor was a beautiful creation to him, and it was probably the closest he ever came to loving another living thing. Unlike the Indominus, this was entirely his to dictate how it came out, down to its appearance and temperament. But he also would've culled it for a model more agreeable in behavior without much issue. I think he's definitely a logic over emotion kind of thinker.

- I think he was lying when he said he didn't know that the cuttlefish DNA would allow the Indominus to camouflage and stuff.

- he haaaated working for Eli Mills. He fantasized about dinosaurs killing that man often.

- back during Jurassic World, I think he and Owen talked a lot about the raptors, and he managed to put on a mostly normal-person persona for these interactions, so Owen was only sorta creeped out by him. ❤️

- I think he struggles with wanting to be recognized for his genius and also being objectified for his intelligence, which is why he is so defeated and wet and pathetic in dominion.i love you bitch. I ain't never gonna stop loving you. Bitch.

Went to Spookala for the first time and got my childhood VHS copy of Jurassic Park signed!!!!

A wonderful addition for the Henry Wu shelf, plus Tim and Lex's actors signatures which were a surprise honestly they announced them a few weeks before the event.

And shoutout to the couple that owned the Jurassic Park jeep, cause they sold me this cute print so I can get another BD Wong signature ^^
