I love how every so-called anti-colonial leftist fails either the Ukraine test or the Palestine one. The number of people who have a consistent moral compass nowadays is actually terrifyingly low, because most are just doing whatever is popular online at the moment. And sure, sometimes the trending idea is actually correct—that can help spread awareness and reach the right people: those who make decisions or those who have the means to help. But that’s not always the case.

The only way to avoid this is to actually have some sort of moral pattern that can be applied across multiple situations: “Oh, a colonial country is attacking a smaller neighbour? Yeah, that’s wrong—regardless of the names of those countries.” Or “Please avoid this author/artist because they support the aggressor (regardless of whether they support Russia or Israel).”

It's so surreal to wake up after barely falling asleep, read about all the casualties caused by that russian attack at night, and literally next to that report is news of Trump once again saying that Russia is ready for peace and it's Ukraine that makes everything complicated and doesn't want to stop the war (for some reason stupid Ukrainians don't want to give up to Russia their land and people that live there, shocking).

блять я американців не переношу з тих часів, коли у мене перестав показувати дісней і америка у мене перестала асоціюватись з чимось веселим і безтурботним. а ще у дорослому віці, коли ти вчиш історію і спостерігаєш за новинами, то розумієш, що сша така ж росія тільки у профіль. а ну і ще, останні років 3 (не буду говорити, що більше, бо я тупо не памʼятаю як довго я вже срусь з вестернами онлайн) мене називають найгіршими словами не тільки росіяни, а й американці, які о боже, так полюбляють російську культуру))
