Anyways this is my slytherin pureblood nightmare Alecto Carrow and I hope you guys will come plot with me. I’m honestly a plot addict and up for ANYTHING!

Full name:

ALECTO: Meaning: unceasing in anger. Latinized form of Greek Αληκτω (Alekto) which was derived from αληκτος (alektos) “unceasing”. This was the name of one of the Furies or Ερινυες (Erinyes) in Greek mythology.

CARROW: In English, the word; “Carrow”, can refer to two places. “Carrow” in Norfolk, or “Carraw” in Northumberland. The first is assumed to have its name derived from the Old English word “carr”, meaning “rock”, and a word of Celtic origin; “hoh”, meaning “spur of a hill”. While the second appears to have been named either after the plural of the Old English word “carr”, or after a mixture of a form of “carr”, and another Old English word; “raw”, meaning “row”.

When a Boggart appeared to a younger Alecto it would always take the form of her father. Now it may also take the form of something far more terrifying to her. Amycus’ dead body. She believes this is due to the impeding war now seeming not so far in the future.

The smell of a bonfire lit in celebration, gasoline, the distinct smell of cigarette smoke and sandalwood.

Patronus: Tiger

The tiger is a very strong, independent patronus. They have a fierce personality to them that they show openly, and have no problem doing it. However, there is more to them than just an impression, they have parts of their past that are a bit dark, and that has caused them to grow a bit cynical. They don’t like to show their feelings to others, as they like to maintain the impression for themselves and for others that they are unbreakable. They are not fast to warm up to anyone, but once they do they will protect you with all that they have. The most common house for a tiger patronus is Slytherin. The most common signs are Gemini and Aquarius.

Alecto was born 5 minutes after her brother Amycus, the Carrow twins didn’t grow up in a loving home. Their father was both physically and mentally abusive towards them both whilst their mother turned a blind eye.

Practically raised by pureblooded nannies and other hired help Alecto was given on of the best magical educations money could buy. Her parents wanting her to be far more advanced than her fellow school mates when the time came to attend a wizarding school. When it came to her and her brothers shenanigans Alecto was always the brains in the operations. 

As a young influential wizard Alecto’s mind was being constantly filled with stories of blood purity and stories of how valuable her blood was and how unethical and filthy those with muggle blood in their veins were. She was always kept sheltered locked away in an ivory tower never to encounter those who were consider to be less than her as a child.

That was until she was sent to Hogwarts and was forced into interaction with all sorts she had not yet encountered. To say the diversity of Hogwarts had opened the girls eyes would be nothing but a lie. Sorted into Slytherin house,practically before the hat had reached her blonde locks, and that wouldn’t have been a surprise to anyone who knew her. 

Amycus had always been with her, the two have never known life without the other. Except for the few minutes of peace Amycus experienced before his fiery sister was born. Alecto and Amycus are each others partners in crime. Growing up with a father and a childhood only the other could relate too made them extremely and  co dependent on one another. And it is very rare to encounter one without the other twin close behind.

Although with the dark paths the two are embarking on death is just around the corner and almost inevitable. Alecto’s alliance with the death eaters was never a choice it was something she had followed and believed in since she could remember, her father was always feeding her the dark ideology. However the girl never expected war to reaching a reality and for her and her brothers lives to be put in such danger.

Wanted connections:

Friend(s):  I’m pretty sure Alecto Carrow doesn’t have many friends due to her bright and shiny personality, but I’d love to write a relationship m/f/nb where someone is able to call her out on her shit and her not want to hex them tbh. This connection is probably Pureblood.

Victim: Someone Alecto has got her claws stuck into time after time and this person would be to afraid to come forward or their memories obliviated. Most likely a muggleborn or maybe even a half blood that she torments.

Friend with Benefits: Alecto doesn’t make friends easily and is likely to stay close to her small group of purebloods. This would be someone that is up for a little bit of fun and its never turned into anything more serious than that. (most likely male, but i’m up for female as well)

Someone Alecto is a bad influence on: She is dedicated to the cause more than anything, so she can’t understand how anyone especially those with pureblood can remain neutral in a time like this.

Ex’s: Alecto has had her fair share of one night affairs, but this would be someone who had managed to get under her skin and break down the walls around her a bit too far. Scaring her into breaking it off quickly.
