          ‘ it’s really no problem april. i love watching harriet. she is adorable and honestly the best baby out there ’ smiling over at the baby girl as she slept away in the pack and play, the short haired surgeon let her eyes find april once again. ‘ just don’t tell meredith or arizona i said that. ’ letting out a small chuckle, she pushed out a bar stool to sit down. ‘ so, are you gonna tell me finally what is going on between you and jackson or not? because what i think is happening and what is really happening i am sure are two completely different things. ’

      instead of arguing further, molly grabs the hidden spare key, unlocks the door, and marches over towards lexie with her arms crossed. ❝ you weren’t answering my texts, and meredith said you left work early which isn’t like you. so naturally, i was worried. what’s wrong ?? and don’t say you’re fine. clearly, you’re not. ❞

           the very instant the door clicks, her olive colored eyes roll. i should have thrown away that key she thought to herself before she caught sight of her sister. ‘ you’re right, i should be at work. ’ setting the glass down on the coffee table and rising to her feet. ‘ look, everything is FINE molly, let it go.’

           ‘ hey mere, can i talk to you about something, kinda serious for a second? ’ if only lexie could say that coming out to her younger sister – molly – was the hard part. if only she could believe telling molly would be the sister she most had to worry about. however, the truth was, it was not molly. it was MEREDITH. not because she feared meredith shunning her at the revelation. but because for the whole time they had known one another, lexie had appeared to be  S T R A I G H T. she had been in a relationship with mark to the point many thought they would be married by now if not for that fatal plane crash. and more than likely that side of her would have stayed a buried down secret mixed in with memories if it was not for that  k i s s. those lips. that WOMAN. and with the emotions coming to light, with the side of lexie she forgot existed, lexie knew there was one other person she had to tell. no matter how hard it was.

             eyebrows knit together as she watches lexie, and she feels her heart sink when she realizes lexie really thinks she could possibly be disappointed in her because of who she develops feelings for. ❝ lexie, i could never be disappointed in you. why would you liking girls too change that ?? i love you and who you are no matter what. i didn’t talk about it anymore because i thought you didn’t want to. ❞ grabbing hold of the pillow that was next to her, molly pulls it into her lap and pats the space next to her on the couch. ❝ come sit. ❞ she pats the space again, big blue eyes looking up at lexie. ❝ come talk with me. ❞

          ‘ i thought i knew who i was molly. i thought i was finally stable. ’ maybe it was the fact that lexie was more so disappointed in herself than her sister which caused her rash words to blurt out. disappointed that she buried down her real emotions for so long. pretended to be happy with others when her heart was never fully there. not until she kissed her in the bar. that was when the true fireworks sparked. that was when the lexie she had buried deep down sprung out into the light. leaving her LOST, confused, and unsure which way to turn. sitting down beside her little sister, the brunette pulled her leg under her as she turned to face the blonde. ‘ i just –– i’ve never liked someone like this. she is beautiful, smart, BAD ASS, she’s just. AMAZING, and i just, i don’t want to get HURT again.’

          ‘ i have always known when you were SAD. when you were MAD and DISAPPOINTED. and when i saw that look on your face at the park . . . ’ lexie’s own mind was struggling to cope and fully wrap her mind around what she was feeling. the emotions she had been pushing down her whole life. memories she never let her self think of because she NEVER did put herself first. but when SHE walked into her life. when their lips MET. everything lexie ad been hiding about who she really was came out into the light. ‘ i just –– i don’t know what i would do if i knew you were disappointed in me. ’
