DAY 120/365 Part 2 of 2
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Gal. 5:22-23 (NIV)
My dear sister,
When it comes to relationships, don’t settle for someone who says they’re going to do the right thing, wait for the one with the fruit to show it.
1. Love When we think of love in relationships, it’s easy to think only of affection and the kind of love that sweeps us off our feet. But the love that comes from the Spirit is the love that empowers us to love selflessly and loyally. Wait for the one who doesn’t just want to love you because he really likes you–but because of the love from the Spirit that flows through him!
2. Joy As humans, we’re all faced with individual struggles, but we can’t let those struggles completely kill our joy. Wait for the one whose joy is in the Lord and not what does or doesn’t happen in the day-to-day!
3. Peace Harmony is key! Wait for the one and BE the one not looking to argue and confusion but strives for PEACE!
4. Patience We have to patient with one another in our relationships. Wait for who waits on the Lord before he acts!
5. Kindness Wait for who isn’t just kind to you but kind to those he comes in contact with!
6. Goodness Whether it be at church, work, or school, wait for who is ready and active in doing good and making good choices in his life!
7. Faithfulness We ALL desire faithfulness in relationships. Like this entire list, it goes both ways! Be a faithful person and wait for the one who is faithful because he is a child of God!
8. Gentleness Gentleness is NOT a weakness. It’s a fruit of the spirit. Wait for it!
9. Self-Control Very important in godly, intentional relationships and it comes from the Lord! Embrace it and wait for the one doing the same!

Authority Over the Devil
Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you. —Luke 10:19
One of the best ways to defend ourselves against the devil is to know the Word of God and speak it aloud against the lies he bombards our minds with. When the devil tells you God doesn’t love you and you will never amount to anything, go to war using the Word of God. Get out your two-edged sword and use it!
Talk back to the devil, loud and clear, saying, “I am the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ” (see 2 Corinthians 5:21); “God has a good plan for my life” (see Jeremiah 29:11); and “Nothing can separate me from the love of God” (see Romans 8:35–39). Trust God—know that you are more than a conqueror through Christ as you confidently declare the truth of His Word.
Through Christ You have authority over the devil.
