A date in the 21st century has strayed far from what it was during the years of our parents. As much as it pains us to admit, we're all guilty of pulling our phones out and looking at them rather than enjoying the environment and company around us. It becomes an unconscious reflex and a coping mechanism. At first I always blamed myself for being boring, but surely that can't be the case every time. #jakewatson
