"I know, I'm fancy now." He teased his sister and sat down on the edge of the desk, watching as Lexi's expression changed at the mention of Enzo. "What? Lex why didn't you call me?" Alex sighed and reached for her hand, shaking his head. All of them had loved Enzo and to hear that he was suddenly gone from her life felt like they'd lost something significant. "What happened? Tell me everything." Alex scowled at her last comment. "I could never be disappointed in seeing you, you know that."
"You love them when it's me." She teased and grinned at him. Her and Alex always had a special relationship and she was so glad that he was in town. "Ooh, a whole office? Look at you." She teased and followed him to his office and she sat down at his chair. "You're all set up, aren't you?" She said before her face fell a little. "Oh, he's not coming." She told him before shrugging. "We broke up. We wanted different things." Like he wanted another body pleasuring him. "So, it's just me. Hope you're not disappointed." @alejandro-fontenelle

"Maya please, I can't have you and Mo both trying to fix me." He frowned and looked down at his empty plate on the table between them. Trying to sort through all these emotions was hard enough but with his siblings trying to fix things or help him mend bridges with mom and dad, it felt overwhelming. "My life is just not what I wanted it to be. And there is nothing to be done about that, it's just a tough break." He shrugged, knowing that there was always something that could be done but not ready to acknowledge that. "I need to just get my shit together but that's easier said than done, right?"
"I suppose we did.. We were quite young when it all happened.." Amayah still didn't like going down memory lane and talk about Autumn. She would forever ache over the fact her memory had been pretty much gone from that time, remembering her daughter's face only from the one photograph she had. She hadn't even been at the funeral and despite the fact she would have forgotten it, it felt unforgiveable. When did you become so wise?" She smiled at her little brother, which soon was swapped for a concerned expression. "Why's that?" She hadn't been avoiding her parents, so to hear that Alex had instantly put her in her older sibling seat. "Is there anything I can do to help? I'm here now, you know I'll do anything for you, right?" @alejandro-fontenelle

Leaning back against the couch and thinking over his brother's words, Alex felt like there was a weight on his chest. He'd been trying to keep himself from having to admit that his parents disapproval and disappointment hurt but here in Mo's living room it was hard to deny. "I know I should. I just worry that if I never fix this and do something good with my life, I'm always gonna be the screw up son, you know?"
"Alright, alright," he chuckled, "I might have to give it a shot," he joked with Alejandro as he handed off the beer. Sitting down on the couch, close to his brother, he propped his feet up on the edge of the coffee table, away from his brother's beer. He thinned his lips as Alex stated that he thought their parent's were disappointed in him. "They love you, no matter what," he told him, "you should at least see them, clear the air if you have to." Mo suggested, not wanting to see his family at odds with one another, "even if they were disappointed, they won't be forever." @alejandro-fontenelle

Oh thank god this guy could take a joke with him. He'd started off by making a dumb comment, shoving his entire foot in his mouth, and looking like a rambling idiot, but thankfully it sounded like he could roll with all that. A smile tilted one side of his lips up and he shrugged. "I mean, I wouldn't have said no, but I think the likelihood of that happening after I opened my big dumb mouth was next to nothing." God was that a little accent he had? Fuck. "Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking? The accent sort of gives you away as a non-resident of my little hometown." @chanseainsworth
Chanse was doing his best not to laugh, but he definitely couldn't help himself from smiling. He just thought it was a bit funny. Or, well, he felt that Alex was funny. And sort of cute, if he was being honest. But that part he tried to ignore. "You wanted the earth to swallow you whole? Because it sort of sounds like you wanted him to swallow you whole," he teased, almost flirtatiously, which wasn't really like Chanse. Though he supposed he came by it naturally in a conversation like this one. And if he leaned a little bit into his accent in the hopes that Alex might find that attractive too...well, he was glad his son wasn't there to make fun of him.

He watched his sister carefully, taking in her words and mulling them over a bit. "You're the same people but you're more mature. You guys went through a lot together and then you went through a lot on your own too. You've grown and you're a better person now than you were when you first met." There were very few people in the world that Alex looked up to more than his big sister. He loved her so much and thought so highly of her. The way she handled life with so much grace had always made him proud of her. "I get that. I've been kind of avoiding them too." For different reasons but he felt like such a loser these days. "Nope." He popped the 'p' on the word and looked down at his lap. "Just depressed as always." Alex joked, though he figured they both knew there was some truth to his words. @amayahxfontenelle
"Oh sorry Mr Specific, Sir." Amayah raised her hands as if in surrender, then folded her arms, shrugging at her brother's words. Were they though? Losing Autumn had changed her very DNA, which wasn't a lie. A mother's DNA changed with each pregnancy, she would always carry her daughter with her. Yet she never wanted to go back to those dark days. Perhaps deep down she was scared she would one day have to face the music she ran away from all those years ago. Or that Wesley secretly resented her for it. She had left him during the hardest time of their lives. "Do you think so? It feels like we are, but it's also been ten years, it might all just be wishful thinking and I just don't know it yet." When asked about their parents, Amayah shook her head. "Honestly, I haven't talked to them about it. I wouldn't even know where to begin." Amayah let out a breath, then shifted in her seating position. "But what about you? Anything I need to know?" @alejandro-fontenelle

"Hey, the protein milkshake is actually kind of fire, don't knock it til you try it." Alex laughed, thanking him for the beer and taking a sip of it before setting it on the coffee table in front of him. There was no real reason for Alex to be avoiding their parents other than the fact that he just didn't want to be pitied. "Not much. I don't know Mo, I feel like they're disappointed in me. I know they won't say as much but you didn't hear the tone of her voice when I had to call her and tell her what happened before the news stories broke." Or the look on her face when he came home from LA. It was embarrassing at best and degrading at worst. "I know I should spend more time with them I just feel like I'm letting them down." @moxfontenelle
Grabbing a drink for himself and his brother, he set them on counter before grabbing the pizza from the freezer and opening it up to put inside the oven. While the oven wasn't preheated yet, he would account for the extra time with the set timer before bringing the drinks out to the living room. He handed one off to his brother with a chuckle, "Your protein shakes frozen now?" Mo grinned, sitting down on the couch, as he joked with his brother. "Yeah, I have, I went over to visit the other day," he knew that they had been worried about the kids, "even if I had called them that night, too," he shook his head, "Have you been over there?" @alejandro-fontenelle

Alex would go anywhere with Hunter just to get out of town for a while and away from the reminder that he was disappointed in his life. He didn't want to feel that way but since coming home three years ago he had just felt like a failure. It was exhausting. "My passport could use a new stamp. I've always wanted to go to the Dominican Republic or Jamaica or something." A trip with Hunter could be fun, even if he did find it somewhat terrifying that Hunter knew how to fly an actual plane. @hunterxraposo
He smirked at Alex for a moment putting his hand on the other's head to mess with his hair a moment "Good things for us both" he teased knowing nothing would happen out on the open sidewalk. He smirked at his comment knowing they had their thing sometimes for sure. "We should plan something soon" he smiled a moment "I been wanting to just go someplace fun that takes a good plane right away" no reason just going to some place random "I've done the dart board thing before and it was fun" he smiled at Alex "We should sometime" wondering if Alex would be down for that.

"I hate surprises." Alex kissed her cheek and placed his hands on his hips as he listened to her. While he was honored to be her first stop in town, he figured it was because she needed to talk about something before seeing everyone else. "Come on, let's go sit in my office." He led her out of the sweaty gym and down a hall to where his office was, taking a seat on top of the desk and nodding at his chair for Lexi to use. "So, if you're here, packed up and moving back home, where's Enzo? When is he coming?" @lexisfontenelle
She grinned as Alex turned around and tossed his clipboard before giving her a hug. It was so nice being home and being with her family. She missed them so much and after the heartbreak she went through, it was like healing her soul. "It's called a surprise for a reason." She teased him and shrugged. "I just thought it was time to come home so I packed everything and moved." She explained. "No one knows. I'm surprising everyone. You're my first stop." She nudged his shoulder. @alejandro-fontenelle

Alex rolled his eyes playfully at his big sister. "That is really not the point here, Maya." He stole a few fries off her plate when she offered it up and started talking about Wesley. He'd always liked the guy well enough back when they'd been together before and he never harbored any bad feelings for the guy when things hadn't initially panned out between his sister and Wes. "I mean, it should be familiar right? You're still the same people." Hopefully just older and wiser now. If Amayah got her heart broken this time, he wasn't sure he could handle watching her go through that. With all his siblings now being in committed relationships except for him, it was hard not to feel like the odd one out. Ever since coming home from LA with his tail between his legs, he'd felt a bit out of his depth anyway, but being the last one single made him feel like a failure in a multitude of new ways too. "How do mom and dad feel about it all?" @amayahxfontenelle
"I mean from what I recall your parking is horrid." Amayah chuckled, nudging her brother to indicate that she was, of course, joking. She was still enjoying her club sandwich, taking her time with it. The men in her family always had been big and fast eaters, so she wasn't surprised when he finished up when she was just halfway done. "Want some of mine?" She offered, slightly scooting her plate over. When he asked for details about her and Wes, she smiled. She felt guilty she hadn't spoken about it with him yet, granted Wesley had been around for Christmas, so they had plenty of time to catch up, but she hadn't dished out the tea from her side. "It just feels right, you know? Like we've barely been apart these last few years. Like I can see it on him, ten years matured him, but ... It feels familiar. It feels safe. I missed him." She explained, poking a slice of cucumber sticking out from her side salad with her fork. "We're taking it slow though. I don't expect a proposal anytime soon." Even though they had been engaged when they split. @alejandro-fontenelle

Alex scoffed as he looked up at Hunter from where he was, knelt down and tying his shoe. "Yeah? What do I get if I do?" He winked at the man before getting back to his feet, rising to his full height. He ignored the comment about not needing Grindr because he had Alex, knowing damn well that Alex wasn't good for a regular hookup. He'd go through phases where he thought he was gonna stop sleeping with people so he could find love again, only to be painfully reminded of how that went last time. "You tell me when and where and I'll be your co-pilot." Alex took a drink from his water bottle. @hunterxrenner
Hunter had just finished up at the bank and was trying to plan some flights that were upcoming soon when Alex came up to him. He smirked at the other. "You betters stay down there" he teased as Alex tied his shoe. "Like I need grinder when I have you" he smirked a moment as he looked at his phone. "But no I was planning a flight" he said looking at Alex "What our last workout wasn't enough for you " he said with a smile towards Alex. "But I still say you need to come with me once, the flights are fun" and he love to get away with Alex just a weekend of who cares would be nice for them both. @alejandro-fontenelle

Alex was already turning the TV on, scrolling through titles on Netflix while he waited for his brother to come back. "Whatever you're having is fine with me." He wasn't picky and honestly he was more interested in the pizza than the beverage. He waited for Mo to return to the living room and glanced back at his older brother. "Thanks, we can eat frozen food at my place next time" He joked, knowing damn well that all he ever had at his place was healthy food and protein shakes. "You talked to mom and dad at all since that storm? I swear mom left me like 6 voicemails to make sure I was okay before I even got my phone charged and turned on." He shook his head with a chuckle. @moxfontenelle
Mo was happy to hear his brother say that - because, hell, it sounded damn good to him as well. No one could say that frozen pizza was inherently healthy, but to hell with that tonight. "Not below my standards at all," Mo was already heading toward the kitchen to pull it out of the freezer and preheat the over, "You want anything to drink while I'm in here?" He called out to his younger brother, opening the fridge to grab himself a beer to start. @alejandro-fontenelle

Alex had his back to the front of the gym, a clipboard in his hand as he looked down at his schedule for the day. He had a little while until his first client showed up but when he heard a familiar voice behind him he spun around quickly. "Shit Lexi, a phone call before you show up would be fucking cool." He laughed and tossed the clipboard aside before he took a few steps toward her and wrapped his sister up in a bear hug.
He adored every single one of his siblings but Alex had always had a special bond with Lexi. Maybe it was their age, or their names, or the way she'd needed him as her gateway into being part of the Fontenelle family all those years ago, but whatever it was, Lexi was more than his sister. For years people had referred to them as twins and it made his heart so happy. He spun her around and set her back down on her feet with a shake of his head, a wide grin on his lips. "What are you doing here? Does mom know you're here?" He had a million questions but they could wait. @lexisfontenelle
starter for @alejandro-fontenelle location: Energy Zone
Lexi hadn't told any of her family that she was coming home. She liked having the element of surprise. Plus, this way she didn't have to start lying about what happened with her and Enzo over the phone. She wasn't looking forward to doing that in the first place, but she didn't want to talk about it. She was preferring to just void the conversation as much as possible. Since arriving in town and taking a nap in her hotel room, she started going around town to find her siblings. She walked into the Energy Zone and talked to the person at the desk before she went through and found Alex. "What does a girl have to do around here to get some work out tips? I mean, honestly." She teased and waited for him to turn around.

He was sweating from the run he'd just finished when he spotted Hunter at the end of the block looking at his phone. Alex jogged over to him and leaned down to tie his shoe before looking up at the man from his position. "You scrolling Grindr or looking for a new online therapist?" He joked before getting to his feet and taking a long swig from his water bottle, brown eyes pausing on Hunter while he waited for a response. The last time he'd seen the other was after a hookup in his truck outside the bar and he'd been a little less than sober then. @hunterxrenner

"You know I fuck with a frozen pizza." Alex told his big brother from the couch where he was scrolling through twitter mindlessly and shrugged his shoulders. After that horrible night being stuck at Heywood University with no idea where his parents or siblings were, Alex had been having a lot more anxiety than usual. He had called everyone the moment he had service to confirm everybody was okay and since then, he'd been around a lot more at Mo's house, seeking out some comfort and safety he was too afraid to talk about needing. "Or we can order a real pizza if you think the frozen one is below your standards of fine dining." @moxfontenelle

"Alright," he started, walking toward Alex in the living room, "we've got options for food with the wife being out of town," he chuckled, "frozen pizza, chicken nuggets," he paused a moment, "I bake a bunch of sweet treats or we go out. I haven't been to the store, so options are pretty limited around here." He grimaced with the thought but sometimes, there was just not enough energy to cook, hence the frozen pizza and chicken nuggets, "what are you in the mood for?"

"Alex." He felt a blush creeping up on his cheeks, which was honestly unlike him, as he reached out to shake the other man's hand. "It is. Or, I hope it is. I'm usually not this fucking weird, I don't know why I decided to start the conversation off that way." His brain had decided he didn't want to miss this opportunity to talk to a handsome stranger but his mouth hadn't been able to find any words that were less stupid. "If it makes you feel any better, one time I told a man he had a face that looked perfect for sitting on and before I could even register that I'd said that out loud he was laughing so hard I considered letting the earth open up and swallow me whole." Shut. Up. Alejandro. @chanseainsworth
"I'd definitely rather be mysterious than serial killer-y," Chanse reasoned, smiling again. He wondered if this was something like flirting. It had been a while since he'd been hit on in any kind of way, and it was flattering, though also made him a little bit nervous. "I'm Chanse, by the way. It's nice to meet you, I think?" He offered his hand for the other to shake.

"I was driving home but the wind got too bad to keep going so I pulled off here and I've been wandering campus trying to find an open door." He explained, trying to make sense of why he was just roaming in the wind. The woman let him in and Alex followed her with a thanks, letting the door close behind him as he stepped into the warmth of the room. "What is this, a lab?" He asked, rubbing his arms to warm them up. @camilaquintanalopez
At his question, she turned towards the door by automatism as if it would tell her if it was safe. But she nodded, looking back at him. "Yeah, it's safe. For most areas I'd say at least. Some have to be so I'd bet on that." She replied. "You've been out this whole time? Come on in!" She walked back to the door and used her badge to open it. It cut short her little exploration but the winds were too strong to stay outside anyway.

He nodded slowly and shook his hands out, trying to release some of the tension in his body any way he could. Alex looked up at Cristian and offered a half smile. "I'm okay I'm just, stressed. I haven't heard from any of my siblings or my parents so I'm just hoping they're all home safe." He ran a hand through his hair and laughed. "I don't know why I'm such a worrier. I'm sure everyone's fine I just always go worst case scenario in my head." He admitted and glanced behind Cristian to see who else was here, trying to gauge recognition on anyone's faces. @cristianhernandez
The only thing that was keeping Cristian sane at this point in the storm was the fact that his wife and children were here with him at the university. He didn't need to worry about them when they were within arms reach of him, but he did know that he was very lucky to be with them right now. A lot of his colleagues and other guests at the university didn't have the same privilege, so he tried to help keep the others calm wherever he could. Seeing Alejandro, Cris made his way over and tried to ask him if he was alright, but he seemed too lost in thought to answer at first. "I was just asking if you were alright, but I think I got my answer" he said with a small frown, "Do you want some water? I can get you some" @alejandro-fontenelle
