So I've been putting on tv static instead of a spiral while listen to hypno audio sometimes, and I feel bad for putting on a generated tv static video. I feel bad, I'm staring at an idealized, unrealistic body standard tv static, not the real, randomly made tv static hitting a real antena. Makes me feel dirty for looking at the picture perfect, porn version of static instead of the real thing with its flaws and real, genuine appearance.

Also I dislike that everyone expects me to use a music streaming service. No. I have my music as mp3s because when I use a music service it very quickly gets to the music that sounds like meaningless drivel to me. How do I tell spotify that I like this song because of cowboys, not because of "country" or that I like this song for its heavy viking theming and the story of a warrior falling in battle, not just "any metal music". I didn't find a way to, I uninstalled spotify, I forgot anything about using it, if you send me a spotify link I'll just check youtube and hope it's the same version of the song that you sent me, and if you try to use my phone to put on a song, you're gonna be limited to what files I currently have on there

I like music with themes. So I dislike when someone asks me what genre music I like, because it's weird to say "anything with a story" because then they start bringing up artist that tell their own story in their music, but no, I don't like those for the same reason I don't like readong autobiographies. I like stories about big battles, real people, who did big things and fought and bled. I don't care what genre they are, whether it's metal or country, ex generum Bismarck by Sabaton and Sink the Bismarck by Johnny Horton hold a similar place in my heart.

I like stories about cowboys and highwaymen, Tombstone by Civil War and Doc Holiday by Volbeat are both about Doc Holiday and are similar to me, but they have very different feels when listening to them.

And yet I can't try searching for music based on what I already like, because then I just get metal, rock, country, et cetera that all just sounds like filler music to me. I want music themed after real people, or at least a story that I can enjoy the same way as I would any fiction book, not just something that fills a few minutes.

And I can't even say I like country music, because I mean that I like songs like A Cowboy's Last Ride, Black Bart, Horse Soldier, or The Soldier and the Oak. I do not mean some guy pretending to be a farmer singing about his truck and blue jeans. I'm tempted to say that I like western music, the same way that old cowboy movies were called westerns.

So, yeah, I need a better way to say that I like music with a story that doesn't mean an autobiography, and the genre isn't as important to me.
