Even though Felipe is one of three drivers left on the grid since I started following F1, I can’t help but feel relieved that he’s retiring; I’m in no way saying that his time is up and that I’m glad he is ending his F1 career at the end of this season, because I’m not. Far from it actually. But
Everyone knows how hard this sport is to tame, and I for one am so happy that Felipe is the one to be making the decision on when he ends his career. There’s no dropping by the team, there’s no life threatening injury/death, he’s not being left in the dark and ultimately being forced into retirement. From what I’ve read and can tell, he made this decision and as heartbreaking as it is for him, his family, the sport and us fans, he’s happy about all he has achieved.
Felipe, we are all extremely proud of you and thank you immensely for the joy you have provided this sport. I for one wish you all the best in yours and your families futures!

Xavi Hernández, part of a family with a long tradition of supporting FC Barcelona, wanted his daughter, Asia, and his wife, Nuria Cunillera, to also become members of the Blaugrana family.
The legendary former midfielder was at the Barcelona Supporter Services Office (OAB) on Friday morning to register his wife and daughter as members of the Club. Xavi, who was greeted by the First Vice President Jordi Cardoner, was very proud to see his daughter and his wife received their membership cards. The pair were given member ID numbers 147,249 and 147,250.
Mr. Cardoner personally handed over the new ID cards, along with gifts welcoming them to the Club as new members, among which were a pair of official shirts for the 2016/17 season.
