i can’t get over how inspiring the story of nimona (2023) is. like… the film literally was scrapped by disney for being gay despite the fact that it was almost finished… and then it was saved, met with a ton of acclaim, and nominated for best animated feature at the oscars 🥲

I normally don’t care about the Oscars as they feel more like a popularity contest BUT NIMONA GOT NOMINATED FOR BEST ANIMATED FEATURE!!!!

Even if it doesn’t win just think about how big it is for a film like Nimona to be nominated! I didn’t even think it was eligible. This is huge!!!

Hugo’s death from Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts. I just felt like his death was so unnecessary and cruel. It felt tacked on at the last minute since it basically happened in the last five minutes of the final episode.

I wouldn’t have been so upset about it if they foreshadowed  his death happening, but I just felt like it came out of complete nowhere

It didn’t completely ruin the show for me, but it did spoil my enjoyment of it a bit.

Wow, this is a difficult decision, but if I had to choose one to be erased from existence it would have to be the Madagascar series which is tough for me cause I love the penguins. But there’s more that I like from the other franchises than Madagascar. I feel like personally for me. The other movies on this list have a lot more to offer for me than the entirety of Madagascar franchise. 

I’m not getting rid of Kung Fu Panda despite my disappointment towards the third film. I still love the first two installments dearly and there is still some stuff to like about the third film

And I love the entirety of the How To Train Your Dragon Franchise flaws and all

The Shrek trilogy is great too (no the third movie isn’t cannon in my eyes, though technically Forever After for the most part isn’t canon either but let’s not worry about that).

Also, without the Shrek movies we wouldn’t have Puss in boots The Last Wish so honestly it’s a win-win.

So yeah Ciao Madagascar!
