Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: 成化十四年 | The Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty (TV) Rating: Explicit Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings Relationships: Ding Rong/Wang Zhi Characters: Ding Rong, Wang Zhi, Background & Cameo Characters, and by that i mean jia kui Additional Tags: Canon Compliant, Canon Era, Character Study, Pining, Colleagues With Benefits, you know you know Summary:
It’s the uncertainty that makes Ding Rong’s stomach tighten, the uncertainty helping to sober him up as the carriage sways. Though the life of an imperial servant—particularly one who works at the Western Depot—is rife with the unknown, Ding Rong has never been particularly fond of it. Sometimes, he thinks he would rather know that a situation will turn out for the worse than stake his hopes on an unpredictable future.
Maybe that’s also the mark of an imperial servant: a lack of hope.
And yet.

Los celos mami, lo celos.

Judai: The devoted men who will kneel on the ground with no hesitation for the one they love.
Here I go with the parallelism between The Untamed (Lan Zhan), Guardian (Shen Wei) and L.O.R.D. Critical World (Yin Chen).
While the first two (LZ and SW) are in a romantic relationship with their respective significant others (Wei Yin and Zhao Yunlan), Yin Chen was kneeling for his disciple, Qi Ling.
They (Yin Chen and Qi Ling) may not be a canon pair but as you watch the series, you will definitely feel the love and devotion between the two of them, the stoic lord and his darling disciple.
One thing in common in these scenes is that the three of them are kneeling for the ones they love. Lan Zhan because of his undying love for Wei Ying; Shen Wei for asking the doctor to bring back Zhao Yunlan's sight; and Yin Chen who was made to kneel in front of You Hua after he asked the girl to help save Qi Ling.
Find a man who will do that for you. Lol.
- Judai
