Reflecting

It’s 10:30 on a Friday evening and I am full of excitement for what 2018 has in store. At the same time, I am also reflective of all that happened over the past 365 or something days. 

The business triumphs - the monumental fails - the people I had faith in but had to let go for not delivering - the people that surprised me the most by stepping it up and showing what a true grinder they were. 

And lets not forget the birth of my first-born child, Zephyr. 

Man, 2017 was a trip. 

But 2018 has incredible things in store. I am excited to share my journey of being CMO of a brand new business and hope to bring enthusiasm, knowledge and insights to all of you. 

If you don’t hear from me before then, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year everyone!

Good for us, #America. Way to overturn net-neutrality and essentially give the #FCC the right to tell us what we can view, what companies we have to get our internet service through and those companies can charge us whatever they feel. The competition to keep the customer is now gone and we are at the mercy of hoping that corporations won’t be #greedy and pillage the American people. I hear all day ‘Make America Great Again.’ It seems that means to regress back to the age of the original tycoons and the industrial #revolution where a few select individuals control all. It is up to the next generation to solve the failures, fears and wayward thinking of the current leadership. The next generation needs to progress ourselves and those younger than us, because clearly it isn’t going to happen with how the country is run now. #WeNeedToBeTheFuture #BeBetter #WeAreTNS

Hello Friends.

Hello All. Alex Medick here. For the last 10 years, I have spent my days and nights working, studying and practicing the art of business and creativity.  Over the last 5 years, my time has been spent being Vice President of Marketing and an Executive Board Member for a major American corporation that employs over 1,000 people across the United States.  In addition, I have been an investor in several start-ups that continue to grow today.

As of late, I am wanting to take my skills and begin to combine them with my passions to create a better business world and a better world for humanity as I continue on this journey of life.  Hence, The New Standard was born.  This is my company that has the sole purpose of helping to build, develop, invest and create organizations that are not only good business opportunities, but ones that are able to help make a difference. What interests me is helping humanity propel forward in a positive manner.  

Whether its a one-for-one business, an entertainment business, a business that helps create a new product to enhance society or just game changing art - I want to have a hand in all of it. 

To be fully transparent, I am 30 years old now. I have a fire in my belly that burns to live and create and use all of the tools and knowledge I have gained in my lifetime to help make this world a better place and to take advantage of business opportunities that may be overlooked due to people not being able to see progressively enough. I will not be another person that wakes up in 30 years, sitting behind a desk and wondering where the hell my life went. 

Anyway, I am going to start posting my entrepreneurial adventures on here as time goes on. I want to post advice, life stories, and let you know what is on my mind. 

I hope that you all come along on my journey and together, lets create The New Standard for the future of business and humanity.
