My Absence

So I just kinda want to post this because I’ve been missing on tumblr for practically a year now. And for those who missed my excitement about Final Fantasy XIV in December I have moved on from World of Warcraft. As I’m sure many of you have as well. I post this because I doubt I’ll be coming back to WoW anytime soon. I’m enjoying my time over on XIV too much. And to be honest I don’t really have anything to come back to over here. I’ve made some wonderful friends over the past 8 months. And I don’t see myself just stopping having fun over there.

‘What is happening to me… where am I going?’ The shifting came as a surprise; all she could remember was receiving a gruesome parcel by courier. The scent of blood somehow missed her sharp nose. How it was so easily concealed was nothing short of a mystery. And where those bones came from… the tether to the ‘trinket’ was of a small animal, but the scent deceived its looks. Within the smell of rotting flesh, the Madam quickly picked up a heavy hint of alcohol from the blood. Whoever sent her such a disgusting gift drew in some drunkard, before killing him, and flaying the flesh from his body to complete this macabre tool. This incident was no fluke, no; it was a trap, and a carefully laid one.

So you say LL is taking a "hiatus." Given historical trends in guilds who take a "break," do you genuinely believe you will revive the guild in the future? Or was the term "hiatus" a way to avoid using the more committal answer that you and your guild simply no longer wish to RP that environment anymore?

I’m going to address this question in parts because frankly, the tone of this anon is not sitting well with me. Intentional or not.First: putting ‘break’ and ‘hiatus’ in quotes, in my eyes, is an insult because chances are this anon does not know me very well because if they did, they’d know that I don’t give up something I’ve put a lot of work into without a fight. And I have put too much work into my guild to simply give it up without a second thought; I’ve put up with harassment, slander, all manners of bullshit for my guild, and I am not going to let a lull in content keep me from trying to manage things.Second: WoW is a hobby for me, and for my guildies. All of us are adults with responsibilities; we have jobs, families, we have IRL things that prevent us from maintaining things. We are not obligated to serve the community when we cannot provide the offers we promise; we always put our own well-being first and foremost, and if anyone puts roleplay before their own IRL obligations or health, then they sincerely need to just step away from the computer because that is an unhealthy obsession with something that is a hobby.Third: Just because a guild is going on a hiatus does not mean it’s being abandoned or given up. You see tons of guilds go on hiatuses on both sides of the community. Do you see them getting anons and such with blatant accusations of the guild being dead/dying that is disguised as an “innocent question”? No. So why do you ask me that if not to just get a rise out of me?I don’t know if the tone of the anon was intentional or not, but if the tone I’ve seen is unintentional, then I seriously advise you to think before you send something.I, nor anyone in my guild, is obligated to RP for anyone; I am my own person before I am a guild master, the same rules apply for those in my guild.
