Hello everyone I haven’t posted here recently. Alex is currently working on another mod that is focused on magic! So no news about the next update for Alex’s Caves, unfortunately. I do not know when they will begin working on the next cave. I will start posting about it when we have word that it is in active development!

🔮 For the magic mod, this is a screenshot Alex gave us. It reads “Magic has returned to the world” in a shiny purple text. We still have no clue the name of the mod or what kind of magic we will be seeing in it. All I know is that one day Alex said he got a really genius idea for a magic mod that he wanted to work on immediately and he will not share it with anyone outside of his team until closer to the mod’s release. And knowing the quality Alex’s mods usually are, it will be worth the wait!

🍬Alex’s Caves 2.0: The Sweet Update is officially here!🍭

🍬The Shot Gum is a weapon crafted from sugar glass, iron, and piles of gumballs - which Gumbeepers will drop. This weapon will shoot ricocheting gumballs which deal damage to every target they hit. The shot gum can be reloaded with more piles of gumballs. Each pile will have four shots, so make sure to stock up on gumballs!

🍬The Candy Cane Hook is crafted with sharpened candy canes and licoroot vines. They allow the player to grapple onto walls and launch themselves around. They can also grab mobs and pull mobs. When paired with the rainbounce boots, the player will be able to traverse the candy cavity with ease.

The candy cane hooks can also hook onto the gum worm and allow the player to ride on top of it.

🍬 A pair of boots made of sundrops, these are sure to put a bounce in your step! They glow in the dark. Also a rainbow trail will appear briefly when bouncing.

🍬 Gingerbread Men are small mobs that spawn in the Candy Cavity, most notably in the gingerbread villages. They come with several different patters and colors- some of them may look a little familiar.

The Confection Oven is a block that, when activated with redstone, will summon a temporary army of five gingerbread men. This small garrison will attack anything that isn't another gingerbread with the same frosting color, including you. But they will also gather up any drops they find and place them in a gingerbarrel before crumbling away. Place the confection oven over a rock candy block of any color, and watch the battle commence!

🍬 The Sack of Sating is an item made from gelatin, licoroot vine, and the sweet tooth- a drop from gum worms. It can be fed in your inventory with any edible items. If kept in your inventory, it will gradually feed you when you hunger is below full.

🍬 The Frostmint Spear is a weapon crafted with frostmints and candy canes. It only deals 6 damage when thrown, but will cause the area nearby to freeze and damage mobs.

🍬 The Sugar Staff is a rare drop obtainable from raiding licowitch towers. It can either create a hex on the ground that protects a four block area from monsters, or create multiple peppermints that encircle the caster.

🍬 The Licowitch is the mini-boss of the Candy Cavity. They have a few different powerful attacks, and can spawn candy mobs to attack you. Lore-wise, the licowitch created the entire candy cavity with their biome-changing magic using the Conversion Crucible.

The Conversion Crucible can be found in the candy witch structures, and have the ability to transform the biome around them. By throwing blocks in the crucible from your chosen biome, and an item currently referred to as 'biome candy', it will change the surrounding biome within a certain radius.
