Some things are more certain than others… like the weather. People are harder. I only see the course they’re on while they’re on it. Once they change their minds — make a new decision, no matter how small — the whole future shifts.

Reblog this if you’re a Twilight based blog, or wouldn’t mind interacting with a Twilight based blog. I know a lot of people aren’t very open to interacting with people from this particular fandom, so I want to have a clear list of people who don’t mind being followed by and/or interacting with blogs like this.

“What is that supposed to mean?” She pouted playfully, crossing her arms hastily. There was still an amused twinkle in her eye, underneath that slightly annoyed look. It took a lot for Alice to truly get mad at her brother—most of the time she got annoyed at him, slightly agitated, occasionally disappointed. Alice could count with the fingers on her hand the times that they had a falling out—but they were years and years ago, and even though it took some time, she did forgive him.
“Saying I’m an addict?” The pixie like girl scrunched her nose playfully, poking him with his foot. “Because I’m really not. Just because I spend quite a lot of time in the shops, and Jasper says that I get a million and two emotions every time that I even consider shopping just means that I’m….just enthusiastic about my little hobby. I can resist shopping anytime that I want, Ems.”
Alice punched his shoulder, enough to hurt any normal being. “It isn’t tiny, you’re just a giant.” She teased. They were quite the sight, whenever they were together. A six foot tall, muscular man, with a skinny, barely five foot girl. She slipped off her shoes, stretching her legs out against the dashboard as they drove down the driveway.
She was about to comment on something, when her shoulders tensed up, eyes glazing over…when she came out of her vision, she narrowed her eyes dangerously at her brother. If looks could kill…. “Don’t you even da—“ She started, before her shoulders tensed once more; another vision, the two safely getting to the mall, Emmett moping momentarily. She grinned as she came out of the new vision, “—never mind.” She grinned. “Looks like you won’t be crushing my soul today. I was nearly about to disown you.” She teased, “And have to go car shopping.”

Alice grinned; she had to admit that she was fully amused at this stranger’s reaction, but feeling fully understanding as well. When you lead a life with the state of mind that all of your kind is out to get you, it did get to you, even as the years went by. The fact that she did win him over was good enough for her—naturally, it didn’t completely make him trustworthy, but it was a good sign. She giggled as he mimed martial arts, shaking her head playfully, “Right, that would make you awfully dangerous…moving your arms like that, you could take out a lamp or something.” She joked.
She waved off his apology—there was nothing to apologize for. The little pixie-like girl did sort of come up to him, nearly scared him off, pretending to know him before she knew him. Her head tilted a bit when he mentioned Rose and Emmett—why hadn’t they mentioned him to her?
“Siblings, actually,” She corrected him with a kind smile, her own brow furrowed with a bit of confusion. “Curious on why they didn’t tell me.” She mused for a moment before shaking her head, “I don’t think you gave me your name?”
Alice tilted her head as the boy talked, crossing her arms with a giggle. “Right,” She said sarcastically. There were small things that she noticed about him—his eyes constantly moving, looking over his head, to the left, to the right….and his eyes. They were red, and it wasn’t much of a surprise to her; most of their kind fed on humans rather than animals, it would be more of a surprise if they were gold…..but they looked petrified.
Really thinking about it, she probably shouldn’t have approached him the way that she did; but where was the fun and excitement in that? Her eyes narrowed lightly, her expression still soft and welcoming, “You’re a nomad, aren’t you? Or…formal nomad, at least,” She observed, her voice quiet enough for others not to hear, enough for him to hear. The way that he acted did remind him of Jasper in his early days, of Peter and Charlotte as well. “I was there once. Well…sort of was. It was a bit of a different situation, and I did sort of know where I was going…or really, I spent time trying to figure out where I was going, but I knew my end goal, so I don’t know if I would really count as a nomad.” She was talking far too quick by then, rambling at this point, but she still quite looked quite confident as she leaned against the nearby rack. “But I do understand all of those emotions and the things that run through your mind….and I do want to tell you that I’m really a very lovely person. I’m not threatening, and I know you’re not threatening,” She said, a very knowing look in her eyes. “….not yet at least, those red eyes do make me just a bit suspicious, but I’m not one to judge.” She shrugged and then offered him a hand, grinning a bit, realizing that she was talking far too much without really introducing herself, “The name is Alice.”

“As if you would report me,” The pixie-like girl teased back with a smirk. She held back a sigh, a roll of her eyes as Rosalie pulled out a small travel mirror. If there was anything that her gorgeous blonde sister didn’t have were imperfections. Even a gust of wind would leave her hair stylish.
She nodded at the idea, grinning some, “That’ll be really nice. You could even add a stuffed grizzly bear.” She joked, shrugging a shoulder.
Alice couldn’t help but giggle at ‘my body is a gift’, putting a hand over her mouth, grinning. “Right, right.” She teased. Alice loved her sister, even when she was being far too into herself.
The tiny psychic was about to protest—she wasn’t some sort of Zoltar, just a press of a button and out came a fortune…but the desperation in her eyes….Alice sighed dramatically, “You know that I can’t see until you decide, Rose. The second that you decide, though—I’ll check.” She promised. Better than starting off her Valentine’s Day worrying whether or not he’ll like his gift, Alice might as well tell her.
“It doesn’t have to be anything extremely major,” She pointed out. “Just something meaningful…unless you want to continue with the typical sex.”

“It would be,” She mused with a smile. It had taken her years to really hone her skill, really understand how they worked, and how to properly use her gift. If she had had someone to guide her, someone that truly understand the burden it could be, it would have helped. But if the Volturi had been so interested in Alice, it could only mean that there wasn’t anyone like her. But the little pixie-girl still kept up her hopes.
“Although I do sort of have Edward, in a way…it’s hard to block my thoughts whenever I am having a vision. He’s seen all of the…interesting things that I’ve seen throughout the decades.” She scrunched her nose with a giggle. Oh, the visions of Rosalie and Emmett….
Alice rolled her eyes at his question, grinning a bit, “The only that broods is Edward, you know that.” She joked. “We do plenty, really….solve the problems of the world, help the world economy, generally make the world a better place…that sort of thing.” Which was just partly the truth…with all the time they had, they did study quite a lot, slip in a few solutions to major and minor problems where they could.
“And having a bit of wolf painkiller would be nice,” She said warmly, “It’ll take some baggage off of Jasper, and I gueeeeeeeeeeeesssss it’ll give us time to bond, or something.” She said dramatically, feigning such severe pain at the idea of it. She wasn’t at all, of course—she didn’t like to admit it out loud, but the pixie-like girl did like spending time with the shapeshifter, and hopefully future nephew-in-law.
The tiny vampire scrunched her nose at that, grabbing the first thing she could grab—a dry sponge—and throwing it at him at the comment, “We do not.”
“Never have,” She shrugged a shoulder. “I’ve met a few with the ability to mess with other people’s minds, read minds….but nothing with the future.” Alice wished occasionally that there were others like her, others who bared the same burden she did, who had gone through what she had. And it wasn’t for a lack of trying—Jasper had done his research and didn’t come up with anything. “And I really don’t know if I like the idea of free time.” She admitted with a grin. “Or, really, I don’t think anyone in this family likes that idea.” Oh, the things she does with the small amount of free time she already has…the shopping, the reorganizing, the cleaning, the planning; enough to drive a normal person insane.
She shook her head when he asked about her headaches, biting her lip for a second, “I would say it’s gotten worst….the more that I try, the more painful they are. But it’s only when I try that I do get them. I do get the occasional spots of headaches here and there, but nothing that Jasper hasn’t been able to help with.” To much to her annoyance….if there was anything that she didn’t like, it was Jasper fretting about her pain…with everything that he had to overcome in a daily basis, a bit of head pain was nothing. She knew that he meant well, and she loved him for protecting her, but there were times where she wished she could handle it herself, somehow wish the pain away.
“We reek?” She feigned surprise, putting a hand where her heart would be, “We’re not the ones that smell like a wet dog that rolled in mud….not that rolling in the mud is a bad thing, if that’s something you pups do. I can see it’s benefits….improving skin complexion and all that.” She teased.

Alice squealed when he accepted, giving him a quick hug before getting up. She wasn’t so much excited to go to the mall—although any day where she did do any sort of shopping was a very good day— but more so excited to spend time with her brother.
She tugged him up, and then tugged him towards the garage, grabbing her purse along the way. It was an odd sight to anyone who didn’t know of their strengths—an awfully tall, muscular man getting easily pulled by a barely five feet tall, skinny girl. She pursed her lips for a second, looking at the cars and went over to the key holders, throwing him her set of keys for her yellow Porsche.
“I’m in a good mood, so you can drive,” She grinned. She pointed a finger at him as she skipped to the passenger seat, “Scratch it, though, and you’re in great, great trouble.” She warned, narrowing her eyes.

“Thiiiiiiiiiiiiiings?” Alice grinned. Nessie couldn’t say it, could she? She drove a bit ahead, the other car taking its turn to pick up their food. She started on the road again. There were many moments where Nessie reminded her of Bella and Edward…she had qualities of both, the good and the bad. This was one of them. The fact that she couldn’t quite outright say ‘sex’ was quite Bella-esque, quite Edward-esque.
She raised a hand up in defense, the other in the wheel, “Alright, alright.” The little pixie-like girl did love bothering her family members as much as she could, but she knew when enough was enough. She could imagine—ney, see—how their family would react to Nessie being all embarrassed about the possibility of her and Jacob having the s-e-x. Nessie would definitely not forgive Alice anytime soon.
“I won’t insist,” She promised, raising a finger after a moment, “But! You do have to say the ‘s’ word. Nice and slow, can’t just spit it out. I really want to savor it.” She teased, grinning wickedly at her niece. Alice didn’t back out, normally, without a price.
Alice was trying to bother her….for the most part, at least. The other part of her did want her to go on and live a little. She was far too protected— it wasn’t as if Alice didn’t see the protection as unneeded, especially after all the events in the first year of her life. But that was years ago. The Volturi were seemingly uninterested in Nessie—still interested in somehow convincing herself, Edward and Bella to join their ranks, but that was easy enough to fend off….for now at least.
Nessie, in Alice’s eyes, was grown now; and with forever to live, she had to experience all that life could give her….including the more intimate moments. And Jacob was obviously the one for her and truly the only one that at least Alice would approve of. She grinned wide at the glare that her niece gave her, trying not to giggle as her cheeks turned pink. She rolled her eyes in only a way that could Edward could—Rose wasn’t a threat to the little pixie girl; if there was anyone that she could possibly handle, it was the blonde girl.
Alice clasped her hands with a giggle when she accepted the offer of food, “Oh, you’ll forgive me. You always do.” And when it was their turn, she ordered her the usual food—a double burger, a chocolate milkshake and a large fry. She went to the next window to pay, then the next to pick up the food. When she handed her the food, Alice smirked just a touch, “Blushing, are we?” She teased.

There are stories of vampires overcoming difficulties with their gifts…but there are few, and no one with a gift like mine that had to overcome anything.” Which was partly why the Volturi was still interested in Alice. Without fault, she still received a gift from them every Christmas—something that only her and Edward knew about. There was no point in scaring the rest of the family for no reason.
“It hurts when I do try to see,” She admitted, scrunching her nose, “Not…my favorite feeling in the world, but I’ve still been trying.” Much to the irritation of Jasper, who did his best to try to distract her, do anything but let her try and feel that pain.
She smiled warmly when he said that his pack would always be there. “It really does mean a lot, Jacob. It’s been nice to have the family expanded….even if you lot can do really strange things sometimes.” She teased.

Sure, she was her aunt….and they were all a family, despite whatever labels they put on each other for whatever cover they were putting up for the unsuspecting humans. But Alice did see themselves as friends before any of that.
She made a very convenient turn to a drive-thru, a bit of a line ahead of them. Alice grinned all too innocently at her niece, as if she didn’t mention what she just mentioned, “Are you hungry? Food is on me.”

Alice grinned wide at the challenge he set himself; it happened in very few and far in between moments where the psychic had been truly surprised. Even with Nessie and the wolves’ existences tampering with her ability to ‘see’, she still had her instincts, she knew her family well, and she could still decently predict things among the shapeshifters and the hybrid.
“I would be very okay with that,” She admitted. “Nothing too out there, though. And I really don’t need anything to spice up my sex life.” She shuddered—it was awkward enough to even talk to her brother about the things she did with Jasper behind closed doors, even more awkward to get a sex book from him.
She bounced a bit when he asked what she wanted in exchange, clasping her hands together, her eyes bright with excitement. Emmett was much more open to her ‘little’ favors than Edward was; but then again, Emmett couldn’t read her mind and see the visions she had seen. “Come with me to the mall?”

“Sniffing and barking?” She giggled, crossing her arms, “I believe it.” She joked. The little pixie girl knew better, knew and respected their worth, their role in their strange, strange society. It didn’t mean that she couldn’t tease them, especially Jacob. He was, after all, Bella’s other best friend—and throughout the years, he had become one of her friends, especially during Bella’s pregnancy. Trying to see Bella’s future or even the baby’s future gave her headaches; being around him subsided her pain.
Alice rolled her eyes playfully at his question, hoping up on the counter behind her, “I still ‘seeeeee’ things…just not your pack or Ness, or anyone whose path is intercepted by your pack or Ness…which, admittingly, doesn’t lead to too many visions…” She scrunched her nose, looking just a touch annoyed at that fact.
“But it does have its perks—I can read and watch movies without getting a vision before I get even a minute in about the ending whenever Nessie or a wolf is around,” She said with a grin, far too excited about the perks than anyone even relatively normal would be. But Alice had never been normal—she had always seen the future, she never knew a life without her gift. Even the most mundane things hadn’t been at all possible until Nessie had been born.
“It helps,” She slipped her phone out of her apron pocket, “that I have eyes everywhere. Jasper, Edward and Bella keep me in the loop of things, just in case I wasn’t able to ‘see’.” You can take the visions out of the psychic, but you can’t take out the obsessive obsession of knowing what was happening when and where from the tiny girl.

I’m not threatening, and I know you’re not threatening,” She said, a very knowing look in her eyes. “….not yet at least, those red eyes do make me just a bit suspicious, but I’m not one to judge.” She shrugged and then offered him a hand, grinning a bit, realizing that she was talking far too much without really introducing herself, “The name is Alice.”
Alice was bored. Her family was off doing their own thing, including her own husband, so she really had no other choice than to go shopping. She headed to the Port Angeles mall—although she was really tempted to just grab a flight to New York City for the day—and shopped. She had a few bags in her hand when she slipped into yet another clothing store, pretending to look through each item—although she already knew exactly what she would find there and where to find it— when she felt herself stiffen for a second, eyes glazing over in a vision….
If her heart could beat, it would be beating rapidly. There was another of her kind near….at the mall, out of all places. He wasn’t threatening, or at least her vision didn’t show him as threatening. She took in an unnecessary breath before stepping away from the racks of clothes she was browsing through. Putting on her best ‘oh-I-haven’t-seen-you-in-ages’ face, she approached the stranger with a grin, nearly how a human would approach a fearful cat, “Well, well, well. We keep running into each other, don’t we? Shopping again?” She said in her most upbeat tone, her honeydew eyes bright and knowing…raising a brow as if to say ‘just go along with it’.

She made a very convenient turn to a drive-thru, a bit of a line ahead of them. Alice grinned all too innocently at her niece, as if she didn’t mention what she just mentioned, “Are you hungry? Food is on me.”
Alice shrugged a shoulder. It was a tender subject for the pixie-like girl. Her visions were a large part of her for so long….to have them tampered with, messed with, stopped completely from time to time, it made her feel off and wrong. It had only been a few years back when the girl was first, really surprised—it ended up with Alice tackling Emmett down and throwing a few choice punches at him. She hadn’t quite calmed when it came to surprises since then.
“I will one day….maybe,” She grinned just a bit. It wasn’t as if she could clearly see when and where she’d be surprised and actually enjoy it. Maybe when it came to gifts….but other than that, she could just see her punching Edward, even if it wasn’t his fault.
A warm grin came upon the pixie-girl’s face at her second question, “It was….I hadn’t quite had many human experiences up until then,” She clarified. There was nothing too special about it as the years went on…dancing, drama, punch, dresses and corsages. But her first, though…. “Jasper was my date, naturally. He wore a tux, I wore a dress, he got me a corsage…” She shrugged a shoulder once more, “It was normal, looking back at it, but it felt magical.” Alice couldn’t help the smirk when Nessie decided to ask Jacob, biting it back, trying to look all stern yet approving, “If…if that’s what you want, Ness. If you want, I can talk to him. Make sure he knows that it’s not a date date.”

Alice bit back a giggle as her cheeks turned pink. Oh, the woes of young love… although it wasn’t at all the same, it did remind her of the first couple of months after she found Jasper. Emotions were high, minds running a million miles an hour, yet always spending time with the other, even when they were not a hundred percent sure what they were.
She smiled warmly, nodding at her niece. “You’ll figure it out,” The pixie-like girl said warmly, “I wish I could see and really tell you when and where….” She let out a small sigh. It wasn’t until Nessie was born and the wolves came into their lives that Alice ever truly felt frustration; but she did, with her visions tampered with….but it was a learning curve, and she was sure to overcome it. Even it if were to take a few dozen of years.
“But if you’re anything like your father, or even your mother, you’ll figure out what you want. Things will fall into place, they always do.” She sped up a bit once they were alone on the street, turning to the right instead of the left to go home.
“You should go as friends,” She suggested with a nod after a moment of silence. “Or go with a few of your single girl-friends. Make it memorable. There’s nothing like your first homecoming dance.”

“Sniffing and barking?” She giggled, crossing her arms, “I believe it.” She joked. The little pixie girl knew better, knew and respected their worth, their role in their strange, strange society.
Alice grinned as he took a bite, moving to start cleaning up. She feigned confusion, raising her brows, “I thought you just stopped by to say ‘hi’?” She teased, pushing one of the pans of cookies, moving the rest to the window to cool down for Nessie. “I think she might be…” She turned back, leaning against the kitchen counter as she took her phone out of her apron pocket, sending her a quick text.
It was a learning curve for the little psychic, not knowing exactly where her family was and what exactly they were doing every moment of every day. She was thankful, more than ever, for Jasper’s gift….it kept her calm and steady, especially the first couple of years after Nessie’s birth. Her phone dinged with an incoming text message and Alice chuckled.
“Looks like she’s with a study group….not that she needs it….” She read the text, scrolling up, sending a quick text back, pocketing her cell phone back in the frilly apron pocket. “Said she’ll be back in a few hours. Suppose you’ll be running off, heading to go….” She let out a dramatic sigh, scrunching her nose playfully. Alice wouldn’t admit that the wolves were growing on her, still teasing them as much as she did from day one. “….what do you pups do again with your day?”

Alice moved to the kitchen island, sitting on the stool and reading through the issue of Vogue when he returned. She grinned at the question, putting the magazine down and raising a brow, “To ruin that alone time, naturally. I wouldn’t be a good sister if I actually let you be alone,” She teased, patting the stool next to her.
Alice jumped, turning around, and giving him a clear punch in the shoulder, eyes narrowed. Her thoughts strung with a few choice words at her brother; the psychic hated being snuck up on. But she forgave easily, grinning a bit after a second.
/’I really, really, really hate you sometimes,’/ She thought, not meaning, naturally…before turning on her heel hastily, moving to open the cottage front door. She pranced inside, being a nosy body and looking through their mail, fingering through the latest issue of Vogue—a gift subscription from Alice herself, in hopes that some of it would rub off on Bella. “I could have sworn I saw you home…” She shook her head, hating how her visions could easily be messed with, “Made a quick decision to head off somewhere?” She looked over him—two small spots of blood on his collar. “Went hunting?”

Alice put up a hand to stop him, her wide grin falling just a bit. As much as she adored her brother, she didn’t quite being used for her talent, even if he didn’t mean it. “I’m not going to answer that,” She said, still with a grin, nudging him, “You’re going to figure it out, though. And he’ll…..” She shrugged a shoulder, “tolerate it.” She joked.
“As for my gift, I do expect a pair of nerf guns. It wouldn’t be much fun at all if I’m the only one,” The pixie like girl pointed out. “Now,” She closed her laptop, her eyes suddenly mischievous, “I’ll get your flights booked, and you can start planning the itinerary….I’ll double-check it, of course, actually book your plans,” After all, she couldn’t leave him completely in control—Rosalie did need the best possible gift trip they could possibly put together. “But until then, how would you like to return the favor, dearest brother?” She batted her lashes, her arms crossing slowly.
