Throughout this module Leanne and I have regularly spoken and kept in contact and up to date on where we were both at. As I decided to do a short research film for our target market at the start of the module, this really helped Leanne as it gave her more understanding on what design / colour the garment should be as the research came from our target audience. She successfully made the garment to a great standard that I'm really happy with and she managed to finish it by December which gave me plenty of time to sort out my photoshoot etc. I did all the preparations for the photoshoot i.e. sourced the model, styled and made the props for the backdrop and Leanne was very helpful on the day of the shoot, helping set up the studio as it took a while and making sure the coat was in the right place for the photos. As I was unhappy with my first logo and branding colours I sat with Leanne and spoke about it which helped inspire me to create my final brand colours and aesthetic and Leanne agreed it looked much better. I found the coat being made a lot easier to come up with a brand and its aesthetic as I'm quite a visual learner, so the coat being made promptly was a blessing. Furthermore, we both wrote the brand ethos together and finalised it.
Overall, we have worked well together, kept in communication and I am happy with the final outcome.

For my press release printing I wanted to take being sustainable in to consideration and use recycled paper or FSC approved. I have tried my best to look into printing methods and where to print however due to only wanting to print my press release and printing cost it was quite difficult as companies who specialise in this area have a minimum order amount etc so for example the minimum order on plantable business cards was 50 which is way too many for what I need them for. I printed my press release at LCA which is FSC approved paper. For my press release box however, I did find a company named Woohoop ( more info on a different post on blog) who have a recycled policy/ethics and my press box is made out of recycled paper with vegetable based ink.
If I were to print on a big scale if this was a real brand I would have; plantable business cards, vegetable based inks and recycled paper instead of FSC.

This is my final press release box, it came flat packed and I had to put it all together. I am really happy with how it has torn out and the outcome of it. I intend to fill the box with left over teddy bear stuffing and my press release contents.

For my press release I wanted to make stickers and a pouch for them. I bought some small classic sleeves and need to make a label for the packet. I measured around the bag and figured out measurements for a label.
LABEL:
14cm x 6cm - fold in half 3cm height

These are some layouts for my press release letter; I'm not sure which one I prefer the most yet and whether this particular layout is the one I want to stick with.

Hey there!
This is an important announcement to all our favourite people. Read on and clear the 11th March in your diaries!
Gold & B is the only brand that utilizes recycled fabrics and unwanted teddy bears to create an innovative product; the end result being a beautiful item of clothing. Neglected teddy bears are what inspires this process. The “not wanting to sleep with your teddy bears” stage of life is one that we all experience. However, we’d rather leave them on the end of the bed than the emotional event of throwing them away! Our consumer is able to purchase a meaningful item of clothing made from their childhood friends. The consumer is able to wear the product with the knowledge that they have contributed toward a more sustainable world for all of us to live within. Through wind, rain and freezing temperatures Gold & B can create the garment suitable for your needs. The child orientated collection we offer features recycled waterproof bean bag fabrics and passes all health checks. These recycled waterproof bean bag covers are used to make the coat wearable and waterproof whilst still keeping to the recycled aspect of the product. With recycled wadding from the teddy bears also, the coat will keep your child warm throughout the seemingly ever-colder winters! All of this whilst looking gorgeous, at a perfectly reasonable price.
Gold and B would like to announce our first ever workshop event. On Saturday 11th March at Holy Trinity Church, Leeds, our brand is going to open up and let you all get to know us that little bit more. We’re unique, and we’re personal and that’s exactly why we’ve prepared all of this for you! This event will show you how the process of teddy to winter coat works. We want to get you and your family involved in a fun and enjoyable workshop based all around this concept. Bring along your unwanted teddies and together we can bring them back to life! As always, the children are our number one priority and that’s exactly why this event is held on a Saturday so that they can come along. It is going to be a bright and colourful day, you’ll get the chance to get involved in the process from start to finish. We will first help you de-stuff your special bears, allow you to choose your very own bean bag colour and then you can sit back while we do all the hard work turning them into a beautiful garment! We understand that this could be a traumatic experience as the bears have lots of memories, but our whole brand is orientated around recycling and your fashion wearable’s can be too! We offer you the chance to capture your memories and turn them into something just a little bit more grown up!
We’d love a part of all your lives in our sustainable fashion wear and that is why we are also giving you and your children the opportunity to bring along all your unwanted teddy bears (yes, that means a trip to the attic) as well as all your stuffed toys (yes, that means another trip to the attic) and donate them to our cause. They’ll be used across our brand to help keep our brand as environmentally friendly as possible.
There will be tea and coffee, and of course something for the children. We can’t wait to see you there. It’s going to be exciting bringing all your teddies to life!
See you there!
From all of us at Gold & B!
