i'll never get to experience watching the owl house for the first time again ohhhh my glob guys. i'll never experience finding season one in parts on youtube and watching entire episodes just by six minute clips, and doing that AS THE SEASON came out. i think i started watching the owl house like SHORTLY after it came out, too, because i recall watching it really early in 2020 when there were only a few episodes out. ohh. goodness. and i did this for season two as well, watching it in clips as the episodes came out 😭 i witnessed lego eda. i witnessed little miss perfect. i witnessed the anti lilith pfps. i witnessed WHY WERE YOU SO EASY TO CURSE. I WITNESSED AMITY DEVELOPING A CRUSH ON LUZ IN REAL TIME. THE ONLY SEASON THAT I DIDN'T WATCH ENTIRELY ON YOUTUBE OR WAITING FOR DISNEY+ TO HAVE THE EPISODES WAS SEASON 3 😭😭😭😭 I WITNESSED THE END OF THE OWL HOUSE!!!!!! ALMOST TWO FREAKING YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!! OOOOOOHHHHHH MY GOD. TAKE ME BACK

it makes me sad the way cis women are so terrified of and disgusted by their own body hair. and i'm not talking "i have to shave for sensory reasons" i mean i keep seeing videos of women using hair identifier spray on their faces and hands so they can shave the tiniest barely-there bits of peach fuzz that came free with their bodies. hair that serves a purpose and that purpose is cleanliness and protection. i mean when i was in elementary school girls who had barely hit puberty were talking about shaving their arms. i mean full-grown adult women who will have a breakdown if they see two days of stubble on their legs/crotch/ jaw/pits because god forbid you don't look like a perfect plastic barbie doll. god forbid your body that keeps you alive comes with hair that may not be soft and glossy and photogenic. some women are so afraid of having any hair apart from their head and eyebrows that they've uno reversed themselves into six different kinds of gender dysphoria that they can't recognize as such because they're convinced that this unnatural state of highly-groomed capital-informed beauty is how women have always been. you're so scared of looking "gross" or "ugly" or "mannish" that you can't even look at your body in the mirror and recognize what it is. sister you are an ape. why are you so determined to deny your nature.

the fact that tadc didn't come out in like 2020 or 2021 is really kind of funny to me just now thinking about it. like. it has such the vibe of 2021 tiktok. jax wearing a maid dress is SO 2020-2021 tiktok. gangle or zooble would be everyone's favorite character probably. pomni's whole vibe is kinda like "clowncore" i guess, the fact that it all kind of feels like... not necessarily a liminal space, since i feel like there's too much going on for it to feel truly like an uncanny liminal space, but in the first episode it DEFINITELY felt like that. like idk pomni was running through the backrooms. abstraction kind of looks like something you would see on 2021 tiktok. it feels almost like "dreamcore" or "weirdcore" but without the huge eyeballs and crt televisions and such. if it came out in 2020 people would be putting i'd rather sleep over glitchcore pomni edits. or like idk the visuals look like 100 gecs. i mean even the song that plays in the first episode sounds like something that would be on a dreamcore post of sad text and liminal spaces with eyeballs and feathered wings. right next to possibly in michigan. DOES THIS MAKE SENSE HELPPPPPP

although shiro could also just be.. abuela... and we could ignore antonio's existence..... i just think lance works very well as mirabel especially with waiting on a miracle. keith works well as isabela; keith and lance have a strained relationship, keith is favored by shiro a LOT if we're going by the abuela route for shiro. though i don't think shiro expects keith to be perfect AT ALL, he definitely sort of pushes for keith to be this image in his head like abuela does for isabela. shiro isn't at all rude or dismissive to lance either but HEY i don't care i'm merging shiro and kuron rn. it's my au i'll do what i want. anyway i think hunk works pretty well for luisa as well. as for pidge and camilo? honestly? well! camilo has very limited screentime 💀 so idk but pidge does also have that thing about having a "secret identity" of sorts and camilo can shapeshift. they also seem to have a similar sense of humor. dolores as allura... well... allura is a gossip. man. that might be the biggest reason. but idc what i say goes
