#so honestly im surprised at the results so far considering his lines to dante during their first fight in 3#might controls everything and without strength you cannot protect anything let alone yourself#vergil would 10000% be more insecure about not having enough power to protect those he cares about#in this instance- nero#especially since this is pre mundus being sealed away#i feel like saying being a father to nero would fix him is like. 'i would like it to be this way so i think it will be' instead of actually#taking vergils character and storyline into consideration#i honestly couldnt even see vergil raising nero even if he wanted to#its also like. a huge part of vergils character is being selfish. i dont think that would magically disappear because he gets handed a baby#hes 'me' oriented in the extreme because of his traumas#vergil sparda#dmc#sorry for rambling i love vergil
