         He is quiet, reserved, as the male steps forth, showing himself to be an ordinary citizenof Valla. Curious. He was under the impression that they were all puppets to the Silent Dragon by now. It left the male with some comfort, surely he would understand Laslow’s plight, then, if he had been suffering here. He seemed to understand the situation of Valla- perhaps better than Laslow did- with such a comment. He wasn’t entirely wrong, Valla was likely the last place anyone would wish to reunite with another. The invisible soldiers and watchful eye of Anankos left guests endangered from the moment they arrived.

         Curiously, he observes the male’s appearance, this was only his second meeting with a Vallite after all- excluding Corrin, who had been raised between the kingdoms of Hoshido and Nohr. This kingdom appeared to be more civilised than either of the other two kingdoms, and it’s culture more deeply rooted. In truth, it was one he wished to know more about, not that he would be presented with such an opportunity. Perhaps it was the kingdom’s isolated from the clashing kingdoms that allowed it to prosper.

         Laslow’s eyes fall to the ground as the accusation is thrown.  I assume the weapon is not to be use against me, rather … Against the fallen people of Valla. The words stung as they rang around his mind. It reminded him of his own world, of the Risen. The countless numbers which swarmed the land. He had lost count of the number he had cut down. All those lives, taken by his blade. And here he was again. Those vallite soldiers… they weren’t truly soldiers. They were just like the Risen. An army of the undead, controlled by a corrupt dragon.

‘ Jia I… ’

         His voice grows silent for a moment, contemplating how to speak with the male. He knew only too well his pain. Laslow draws his blade, only to throw it down on the ground between the two males, leaving himself defenseless. He wanted to prove his intentions.

‘ Pray, forgive me… My name is Laslow. Or rather, that is the alias I use around the people of this world… A guilty conscious tells me that you deserve the truth, even if it endangers my life here.. Please believe me when I say that I truly mean you no harm. ’

         A soft smile flashes, if only for a moment, as he reflects on his past.He wasn’t entirely sure why he felt compelled to reveal his identity before Jia. Perhaps it was empathy, anunderstanding the struggle that he surely faced in this Kingdom.

‘ My name is Inigo, I hail from the Halidom of Ylisse, a world that no longer exists: it was destroyed by a Fell Dragon known as Grima, and his army of the undead,  referred to as theRisen. The situation was something akin to the danger which Valla faces now. With the aid of the Goddess Naga, I was able to save my world, at a cost. Though that is a tale for another time.. My friends and I had just defeated the Fell Dragon when we were approached by a guest fromyour world… This very kingdom. He plead for our help, to save yours from the Silent Dragon. ’

         The male pauses, realising how bizarre his story must sound to the other, though considering the situation, it couldn’t be entirely impossible. Such a story could not be made up on the spot, even if one tried.

‘ I mean the people of Valla no harm, I wish only to see you freed from the tyrant king who sits upon your throne. To spare them of the suffering my world saw. ’

Once the other man raised his weapon Jia froze, he had no weapons visable on him ... sure, but he was a shapeshifter, he could change if the next moment the man tried to lunge at him, but he didn’t. The man threw his weapon to the side leaving him defenseless which was quite foolish in Jia’s eyes. Many fallen soldiers were still capable of acting normal, acting human, something Jia found disturbing. He lowered his guard once more though, finding the man to be harmless, as well as a bit foolish but such comments were kept to himself as the man spoke. 

He spoke many things and Jia needed to process it all quietly for a brief moment after it was all spoken. He came from a different world and was brought here by a ... “guest”. He would like to know a bit more about those words but for now he looked back to the man, blue eyes scanning him before he finally exhaled loudly. This was certainly a lot to take in ... This man has also suffered greatly - but it sounds as if he has hope, something Jia lacks.

           “ INIGO WAS IT ? ... You are a bit misiformed of Valla’s situation. We have no Tyrant king and we never have. Anankos is - ... Was a kind god but the ravages of time will drive anyone mind in time. I believe he should be ended but he is no king nor tyrant “

Jia informed the other man “kindly”. He didn’t take offense to what he said, it was just best not to think the way he had, at least to Jia, but Jia quickly looked around before looking back to the man and pointing to his weapon 

           “ IT’S BEST YOU KEEP that on you. We should move as well ... If you have been here you should know the dangers of being in one area for to long. I know somewhere we could be safe in for a bit, we can walk and talk ... “

Jia is quite literally incapable of showing or feeling strong emotions in the situation he is in. Many of his stronger ones would be negative ones and such negative emotions make it very easy for Anankos to possess you which is why he seems so void inside. He didn’t willingly choice to throw away his emotions, he did it out of necessity to survive, which is why he still fears dying.

just getting to be his friend can be difficult but if you do he can be rly interesting and enjoyable to talk to! if veles actually tries to actively befriend him he’d probably learn a lot of things about him but i feel like a friendship between these two would be a very slow one to form

“That’s true – I’m half Vallite, to be more specific,” Shigure remarked. “I only recently learned of my true heritage.”

The classes and existence of ‘dragon people’ confused (and worried) him. He made a mental note to tell Corrin everything he’d heard from this mysterious man later.

He was saddened to hear there were so few free Vallites left. How much of his ancestors’ culture had been lost as a result? Music, literature, art, customs, cuisine, fashion, everything – all victims of the needless bloodshed. It was truly a shame…

“Indeed I do,” he replied to Jia’s comment. “I know of someone who’s intending to challenge Anankos, and I firmly believe they have the potential to defeat the dragon and end this war once and for all. However, they’re in desperate need of support…” Hint, hint.

Jia listened to the others words and sighed softly, he easily could tell what he was trying to lead into and he just was going to end up disappointing the boy.

            “ I AM NOT a soldier. I’m a healer of sorts ... I am not able to fight, even if I were a stronger dragon many of us are very weak due to shortages of food and things of the like. The most I could offer is information about Valla ... “

He quickly informed the other. He was frail and tired more often then not and being hungry was something he has grown use to so the others offer was very ... Strange. They were off to defeat anankos ...? He should be excited but he wasn’t. He was very ... unimpressed almost to someone who didn’t understand his feelings but honestly he didn’t know how to feel. If it happened then maybe he’d have a reaction but until then...

            “ I’M SORRY if that is not the answer you would have liked but the people that remain in Valla have little hope of anything. We have lived this way for years and many of us are expecting to die this way as well ... “

The priest had sworn he’s just turned an alley, and every street appeared to be the same. He wasn’t lost… was he? Losing his way in an entirely new, foreign country can be intimidating for some, and Libra was glad that he had been alone. He wasn’t so sure how to assure his partner if they had freaked out, terrified of what this new land may bring. It was by chance he had came across another man– a stranger, tall and fair just like himself, who offered to hide him  whatever the reason. This place—-was it closed and forbidden to strangers from the out lands?

     ❝I am, yes.❞ Libra responds a gentle tone,  ❝This isn’t Nohr… I pray?❞ it was a rather rhetorical question with the priest already knowing that nothing in this place had looked like how he was told Nohr would. The situation could have been rather funny if he hadn’t felt hopelessly useless like this, like a lost child waiting for his mother among the streets, waiting to be saved. The man before him had seemed to be rather laid-back, however, despite having discovered something that might have seemed illegal otherwise. Libra accepted his offer kindly, but also wished to access the situation at hand.  ❝Where am I, might I ask? It appears I’ve come a long way down the canyons earlier. I’m not trespassing, am I?❞

            “ YOU ARE ... going to Nohr ? No, Nohr is across that canyon ... Technically we aren’t in the Canyon at all anymore, that place just is able to be a portal to this place. This is Valla, a kingdom that has became ruins, Trespassing would be null and void - Outsiders just usually aren’t strong enough to fight against the Puppets to Anankos - Err this is probably all very confusing to you, Just know Valla isn’t a very safe place “

Jia sighed as he caught himself rambling a bit, he put his knuckled to his mouth as he thought. This person - Libra, wanted to get to nohr which he found odd. He had only ever heard bad things of the country. It was cold and desolate ... Though he might not have room to speak as Valla isn’t in the best shape. Though he of course would help libra to wherever he needed to be, afterall he would never want something bad to happen to someone who stumble into valla

            “ I COULD help you to nohr, Though nohr is not a kind country from my knowledge ... If you are not careful I beleive they could easily take your prisoner in that country as there is tensions between it and the neighboring kingdom of Hoshido. “

Jia froze at the words. He deserved to make this this far? He deserved to live this long ? but why him out of everyone in valla … why him ? He hated this life but he was so hollow so really “ hate “ was hard to even say, he just lived because laying down and rotting away was boring … He had so much time still left on his life and wasteing it away doing nothing was so boring so he did what should be done and lived or he tried, but in a place like valla “living” was different. 

The outsider had made him question something though, why did he deserve it? The other could only say such a thing if it were the truth somehow, he wouldn’t say such a stupid lie so why did he think he deserved to make it here - to this point in existence and to live his life despite he was nothing more then a husk of a little boy that use to cry all the time. He swallowed hard as his eyes moved away from the other to focus on something else – ANYTHING else other then the man that spoke

           “ BUT I DON’T. Valla has fallen, it no longer needs a prince such as me … I don’t see how I’m deserving of such a life, a life that is hardly lived honestly … I am nothing but an emotionless husk of a person but … “ He stopped himself and looked down to the ground, the thought entering his head that had been forgotten, but yet I don’t want to die, not yet. Why, why didn’t he want to die ? There was nothing he had to live for, nothing. Valla was in ruins, his family was dead, everyone he cared about was dead. “ I TRULY do not deserve to have lived this long and I don’t know why I have “

is it possible for Jia to turn to water like azura does and die?

Oh yes. I’d imagine if the “ Healer “ type people of Valla (IE. the people who can calm the feral dragons down) can all turn to water if their powers are over exerted or if they are not trained enough in them.

I say azura had it happen because she wasn’t trained enough in the ways of magic therfore it drew from her life force though i imagine if always draws from the life force of the wearer but if you are trained in it from a young age you can minimize the damages such things cause or revert it even if you are skilled enough

So in short, if he over exerted himself he could easily die just like azura did, though he is probably more skilled then azura is but that’s only because he is older and was raised in a non ruined Valla for a few years.

“Yes there is an adjustment period for sure. Some adjust quickly, others never fully settle…” he said, quickly realizing that it was probably not the best thing to say that some never feel fully comfortable among the Order.

“Anyway… I’m sure Kiran will find a use for you. She finds a use for everyone she summons,” he continued, “Some heroes never even see the battlefield, but they are useful all the same. Keeping everything in order, working in the infirmary, training others, things like that.” he smiled as he finished.

“That being said, what sort of talents do you have?”

Oh yes the summoners name was Kiran ... He has missed that or maybe he had just forgotten since many things were still running through his mind about the situation he was in. Though shigure was nice and easy to speak to and was being as informative as he could be so Jia appreciated such kindness and help in this strange situation.

            “ HMM, I’M NOT much of a fighter ... In valla I would have been considered a healer but we can do many things. I am able to rejuvenate people’s energy with magic so they can continue fighting and I can transform into a dragon though my dragon form is quite weak “

He personally didn’t think he’d actually be that helpful to the summoner of this world, he wasn’t strong and he wasn’t very social either so he already felt incredibly out of place, not to mention the kingdom was so grand it made his head spin a bit but he easily kept his emotions in check.

Another visit, another time listening to Corrin speak about his siblings or his troubles and he had many. Such places nohr and hoshido were �� he learned much about them both without needing to leave the ‘ safety ‘ of valla. Corrin didn’t heed his advice and kept coming, insisting on being the mans friend and Jia certainly wouldn’t stop him. He didn’t have the will to stop him very much, if Corrin wanted to risk his life for Jia then Jia did all he could to stop him at this point and it didn’t work.

It was the same thing again today, Small chit chat. Corrin carrying the conversation as Jia had very little interesting to say. He spent most of his time alone to begin with and the few times he sought out anyone else from Valla it wasn’t for the most savory of casual discussions.Though today Corrin seemed a bit more … Quiet. Something must have been bothering him and he kept giving this look at Jia, a sad look really and Jia didn’t know what to do. 

He spoke up ‘ You know, you are alive, you deserve love, and you will be okay ‘ and Jia stared at him for a moment before shifting and leaning on his hand silently, his eyes finding someone else to focus on in the ‘ home ‘ he had, long run down but at least clean enough to live in even if he wasn’t the nicest place. He was thinking

           “ I DO NOT ever wish to upset you Corrin, But sometimes your words can’t help those who have already refused help. Your words are kind and warm and if I were young I would have accepted them with a smile but I’m no longer a child nor am I able to smile a true smile, But … Thank you still. I can only imagine the pain that you feel for me since I do not seem to be able to feel such a thing. You truly are too kind… I wish you would stop baring my burden, you don’t deserve such sadness “
