" Reki commented on everything, maybe because of his experience doing reaction videos of competitions, maybe because he was so excited. It was an endless stream of talking all the way until he saw Langa take position on the side ramp. Then the words got stuck. "

Nobunaga and Hirarin Talking About Haruka and Makoto
Nobunaga: Haruka’s seiyuu
Hirarin: Rei’s seiyuu
(From Iwatobi Channel S Vol.4, they were reading fan mail sent to their radio channel)
Nobunaga: “I especially took notice when Haruka and Makoto’s duet CD was on sale. Is it because it’s a duet CD? The pair accessory is so cute! I definitely will buy the CD!”
Nobunaga+Hirarin: Thank you.
Nobunaga: In fact they did wear pair accessory in the duet CD.
Hirarin: Wow, that’s true.
Nobunaga: Both Haruka and Makoto. This…is really, good, isn’t it, having pair accessories
Hirarin: Yeah, they really share a good relationship
Nobunaga: This is very obvious, Haru and Makoto’s (accessories)
Hirarin: Right, they are both wearing their own accessory.
Nobunaga: I was thinking…should I buy one for my own.
Hirarin: The accessory is purchasable, right?
Nobunaga: I think there might be similar accessories for sale, but I don’t know if you can find one exactly the same. But even if it’s similar, should I go buy one for myself, I am thinking about this question (lol)
Hirarin: Oh…that’s not bad!
Nobunaga: It’s not bad isn’t it? As expected of you guys, you noticed immediately that they wore pair accessories!
Hirarin: There might be some same style accessories in stores, right?
Nobunaga: As expected of the staff of Free…
Hirarin: They really take care of details.
Nobunaga: Same as in the anime itself. There’s a phrase that I didn’t know before, but it seems like there’s a phrase called ‘boyfriend shirt’?
Hirarin: Boyfriend shirt?
Nobunaga: Yes, for example it’s like a girl wearing her boyfriend’s shirt.
Hirarin: Oh yes, that boyfriend shirt, right?
Nobunaga: Originally, there shouldn’t be a way of saying a guy wearing a boyfriend shirt, but when it comes to Haruka and Makoto… “Wait, isn’t he wearing the same clothes as another?”, “Isn’t he wearing another guy’s shirt?”, you will get this feeling in the anime series. After seeing the end card of the anime, you will feel like “This…he’s wearing boyfriend shirt, isn’t it?”
Hirarin: It’s the one in which they are eating popsicles while playing video games, right?
Nobunaga: Yes yes yes. It’s like, wow, this is incredible, so this is the culture of ‘boyfriend shirt’…I got to know the culture of ‘boyfriend shirt’ in Free.

I always kind of wondered why I tended to enjoy gay couples in media over straight ones and I think I've come up with my own answer. With straight couples, they barely seem to have any interactions before jumping into dating. They are just magically in love or they get a quick montage if they are lucky. Where gay couples have more censorship so they tend to focus more on their deep relationships vs straight up sexual romance. Hahaha or maybe I'm just Bi and I just don't know it yet. I don't think I find people of the same gender bodies attractive though but the intense bonds are real. So confusing.
I hope you find peace, anon. But yes, lgbtq+ relationships in general seem to be shown more in depth.
