This chapter title being “Bleach My Soul” and ichigo’s soul is just a white void of nothingness without Rukia. I mean bond was so strong she awakened parts of him he didn’t even know he had. And Rukia disappearing, taking all of that along with her, leaving Ichigo with nothing.

This single detail is the reason why I don’t feel anything regarding the ending anymore. And it’s crazy cause we were so focused on who Ichigo and Rukia married that we all forgot about this very important detail

Ichigo dated, married and even had a kid with Inoue. Did Yhwach ever came back during these moments? Moments that were supposed to be the happiest moments of his life? No. Same thing for Rukia.

Chad became a boxer, his promise to his grandpa? To the trash. Uryu became a doctor, the very thing he despised, and will never be able to realize his grandpa’s dream of a coexistence between shinigamis and quincies, cause his entire race has been annihilated. Inoue had to drop out of college and the only reason her and Ichigo became a thing is bc Renji pushed him to date her. Wow great. Rukia is not a Kuchiki anymore. Renji has been unreciprocated as well through the whole manga. And Ichigo? Condemned to live a mundane life as a boring translator with someone he’s not happy with.

So yes IH and RR happened, but trust me, they’re not happy. Nobody in the gang is truly happy. And yk what the gag is? Yhwach comes back when Ichigo and Rukia start arguing again.

So now stop wasting your time with antis with big ass paragraphs. If you do, just use what you know now. If they still find a way to argue about this? They’re just delusional and don’t wanna see the truth about their so-called “happy ending” So take a deep breath, let that sink in, and find the peace you never got since 2016❤️

I'd say they're already canon cause #1 this is written in Japanese, and stating you love someone is pretty much never non-romantic in that language, and #2 the scene was literally framed as a confession. At first it was blurred and didn't let you see what it said but then it revealed what she said at the end, if it was just a platonic 'ily' it wouldn't have been necessary to be so dramatic with it. Also, the way both Iruma AND Azz were getting flustered and embarrassed at being asked if something happened between the three. Just a normal 'I love you' wouldn't be like this, especially when they've all already indirectly stated that the love each other(they literally named themselves "love trio" way before that chapter was even out). Now, maybe Nishi will have to backtrack on this because of editors and whatnot, but for now, I think it's safe to call them canon.

So I was trying to figure out if Dazai truly meant that he loved Chuuya here, because all this time I just assumed he was joking but there's a very real possibility that he wasn't, because of one reason and one reason alone.

Dazai himself doesn't know what love is.

That was like one of the main themes in No Longer Human. The fact that Dazai didn't understand human emotion. We, as the audience, will never know if Dazai was truly in love or not, because Dazai himself doesn't know if he was in love.

Dazai says ‘That’s what makes me love you’ not because he wants to be believed, but because in that moment, he believes it, whatever ‘it’ means to a man who doesn’t know how to live, let alone love.

Yes this came from the fact that I am on this scene in my analysis. I was literally sitting here for an hour or so just jotting down different points that could be evidence for whether or not Dazai was serious here and could not come to a conclusion. So I went back to the root of Dazai's character, No Longer Human, and figured this out. Perhaps he was joking, perhaps he wasn't, we won't ever know, because Dazai doesn't know.

There's never a clear cut answer when it comes to Dazai, that's all I'm saying.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but isn't it implied that Renji would do nothing about Rukia's sentence if Ichigo and friends didn't show up? I mean yes, he seems shocked at Byakuya's decision, but he also doesn't do anything about it? He challenges Byakuya but even if he was defeated, it would not change Rukia's sentencing. Moreover, this fight does feel like it's about Renji's ego mostly, too. I just can't deal with people telling me "Oh, Renji would die for Rukia!" while he doesn't even dare to challenge the system to fight for her life in any way. Also his comment in Hueco Mundo, where he chastises Ichigo for worrying about Rukia because of "warrior code". It was probably meant to be interpreted as "Rukia can stand on her own and you shouldn't worry", but it comes off as him being a nasty stickler for rules. Especially considering Ichigo was essentially right, and Rukia was borderline dead.

Moreover , why specifically have Inoue - the supposed one true love of Ichigo's life , look on at IchiRuki during this scene , with such glaring , green jealousy and envy ; with a blatant sense of sadness and depression and disillusionment - and then have Inoue look away , because she clearly just couldn't bear to see and be blinded by Ichigo so openly displaying and having such an obviously loving and tender look in his eyes , to Rukia - towards someone that just wasn't her See , Inoue has often fantasized about Ichigo as like her white knight in shining armor and this Shoujo character - but , he's acted as such for somebody else - for Rukia : for her first to an immeasurable degree There's a number of scenes throughout the Bleach manga of Inoue being jealous of Rukia and her relationship with Ichigo - ha , there's even Inoue crying about it - whereas , Rukia has ZERO such scenes towards Inoue How then can anybody - and even the author & mangaka himself , ever say that Rukia's still less than a lover to Ichigo - when even Inoue herself repeatedly sees and knows that this just isn't the case between Ichigo & Rukia ? It's exhaustingly not ' the old anime had pushed IR ' - Kubo has ever only himself to blame
