what is so refreshing about a league of their own is that the show is laced with care and knowledge of our community.
the writing team took important stories rich in lesbian history and accurately depicted the lives of the women who came before us. we see the positives, the fulfilment, the worries, the negatives, and the hardships, but, unlike other shows handling such matters, this is not to take pleasure in our suffering. instead, it is to show how it was for us, for those who paved the way for us.
carson, greta, jo, jess, lupe, max, esther and the countless other lesbians and queer women we meet throughout the series exist unapologetically on screen; on their different journeys to ensure that that history never erased, and for us to be seen.
it could have been so different if the show had fallen into other hands. we are so lucky.

I seriously have never seen a couple on tv so natural, with so much chemistry and such a strong connection as Wayhaught. They are also so in sync. Every other couple pales in comparison for me and probably will for years to come.

Anne: What’s that?
Ann: Oh, that’s just my to-do list.
Anne: That’s just a post-it note with my name on it…
Ann: *Smirks*
