So cute I’m going to die.
And also, why were all the videos of little Ali in his documentary of him either goalkeeping or eating 😆

Also genuinely did not understand WHY the camera had to follow Trent around all night. Our club legends are dancing, cheering, laughing...but all the cameraman wants to do is zoom into Trent's face. Bah. I just want to watch Ali scandalise his South American buddies who have just found out their calm and composed keeper is actually the craziest of them all.
last interview ever for the club and you never say a thing about the fans or the club, only “i hope they recognize everything I’VE done”
yeah ship him off to madrid tonight, genuinely could not care less at this point. the prick’s ego is completely gone

Ali bear humbly saying "if I am called up" as though Ancelotti isn't rubbing his hands in glee at the prospect of coaching the only goalie in the world who can give Courtois a run for his money.
Lol not my brother in Christ partying for 4 weeks 🤣😂 I KNOW THATS RIGHT Ali 🥃 cheers 🍻

We have the best goalie in the world who is intelligent, kind, loyal and saved our asses more times than we can count (that LIVCRY game yesterday included) and yet there are ungrateful fans bitching about him wearing a Jesus T-shirt ONE day of the year to lift the Premier League trophy after a 5 year wait.

I'm sure Robbo would appreciate the extra rest and would play better when he gets a few games off...poor guy is ALWAYS being played. Which means our backup LB just isn't inspiring confidence in Slot, isn't it?
Is It Too Early to Say This, or No?... IDK. Here Is My Takeaway from This Season (even though the season is not over...)

Just finished reading Ali's article about his dad and the support from Liverpool FC and wow. What a touching story. But it made me think of something that I have been meaning to say for a while, but I've been kind of scared to (please don't be upset, guys). Anyway, here goes nothing (def deleting this in the morning).
I think fans underestimate just how much Alisson loves Liverpool.
Maybe it's because he's quieter and hasn't been talked about as much compared to other players like Salah and Virgil (and Trent), but Alisson has been through a lot with the fans and the club and the team, especially after/during the time of his father's passing and he truly does love the club. And him crying when we won the title, oh, man. He loves this club.
Now here's what I was actually scared to say lol.
I have been a little disappointed by Liverpool fans this season with a lot of our talk about Alisson within the season.
When he had just come back from injury (Dec, Liv vs Girona), there were so many fans screaming for him to be sold in the summer along with Kelleher just because he wasn't 100%, and he had just come back. No patience or grace at all, yet players who have played half heartedly all season get all the grace and well wishes and support from us. Especially after the draw to Fulham the game after Girona, fans were talking absolute nonsense about Ali. Then when we won 2-1 after that against Southampton, there was chat about Ali "having lost it" and "not being able to keep a clean sheet" all over socials as if he hadn't just come back 2 games prior. It was really only after our wondrous first game against PSG IN MARCH that I saw the tides change back in support for Becker. ldk, I just feel like as fans we should've been better supporters for our goalkeeper than we were this season.
I also think fans should be better towards Konaté as well.
We (obviously it's not all Liverpool fans, I am generalising throughout the post) shouldn't be scapegoating him or putting all fault towards him. It's been done to him wayyyyy too many times this season and very disproportionately compared to other players.
Even Virgil makes mistakes and errors, and occasionally Virgil doesn't do as good in a game compared to Konaté, yet all fingers point to lbou. It's not right. Same with Becker, when he came back from his injury (that he said he rushed, Ibou said he rushed his comeback, so he wasn't fully healed), people were just being really unfairly reactionary about him and mean. I understand that he doesn't exactly have a stronghold over Liverpool and the PL the same way that Virgil does and he hasn't exactly cemented himself as much as Van Dijk as a defender (over the years compared to VVD), but I do think we've got to be better. I've seen people say that Konaté doesn't belong at Liverpool (I truly should stay away from reddit match threads).
And listen, I'm not the chief of police of Kopites or some shit like that, I'm not trying to police anyone's behaviour or anything, these are just my personal opinions. We're far from the worst fanbase in the premier league or in any league really, but we should still hold ourselves to a high standard. Also, I'm sure you can replace Alisson and Konaté's names in this post with any Liverpool player this season and you'd probably be right about that as well, this is just what I've observed about those two players in particular.
Also, this post isn't about genuine criticism, this is about hate and people being unfair. I don't know if I made that evident, sorry (I'm not calling you guys dumb or anything, I'm just really bad at expressing myself and coming off correctly).
But yeah, anyway, guess my takeaway from this season is that I think we should be nicer and slightly less reactionary. Give our players some grace.

I'm aghast at the vitriol towards Robbo because he's aging - I mean, has anyone seen the way the man played and sprinted for us all these years? He gave us the best years of his life and I think he could be afforded a bit more grace now.
Sometimes the fan base reminds me of kids who can't accept the fact that the parents who waited on them hand and foot and gave them everything they wanted can't do the same now. And instead of reacting with gratitude and understanding, they throw them out first chance that comes along.

Alisson’s the victim of his own success. He’s so good, so consistent, and makes everything look so damn easy that fans take him for granted. And he’s a goalkeeper which by nature is a position that doesn’t get much attention. If he lets a goal in he gets all the criticism but if the team wins the glory goes to the goalscorer. It’s the nature of goalkeeping I suppose and Alisson’s not someone who deliberately seeks out attention (feels like he evades it sometimes in fact) so it is what it is.
But let me put it this way: Kelleher would have been sold by now for an astronomical fee if he’s as good as some fans claim. Supposedly he is good enough to start for the mid-tier PL teams so why isn’t anyone biting? Your guess is as good as mine 🤷🏻‍♀️. I feel bad that Kelleher isn't getting the game time he wants and needs but it's kind of telling, isn't it?
Meanwhile Alisson is getting offers from Saudi and turning them down because he feels he owns the club too much 🥺. I love this man so much honestly and can only take comfort that Slot seems well aware of how fortunate he is to have Alisson and doesn’t listen to idiot fans who say Alisson should be benched. His teammates seem to respect him a great deal and often he behaves more like a vice-captain than our actual VC - encouraging his defense, making sure the South American babies feel at home, and being the only player who can scold Virgil and have our big scary captain quietly accept it (seriously, just can't imagine anyone else having the courage to tell off Virg lol - if Trent tries that he would probably eat Trent alive).

I'm disgusted by the attitude of a lot of fans towards Alisson this season. Man injured himself saving a goal ffs. Kelleher did a good job stepping up during Alisson's injury but the team was also a lot fresher and solid defensively in the first half of the season. The talk about Alisson having to earn his place back on the first team after his return was mind-boggling. Fortunately Arne Slot knows the difference in quality between his first and backup keepers and chooses to play Alisson as long as he is available.
We will sorely miss Alisson when he's gone regardless of how good Mamar turns out to be. Look at the way Virgil fawns over Ali - our captain knows what a blessing it is to be playing alongside the best goalkeeper in the world. Imagine being delusional enough to say Ali should be sold and Kelleher should take his spot in the first team smh.
