Faith - a little bit goes a long way
4K posts
God is so amazing to me. Every day Hebrews 11 becomes more and more real to me. Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, and Rahab taught me to step out on faith! A mustard seed of faith is sometimes all it takes.

Today's Prayer 🙏
Dear God, thank You for bringing me through what I thought I couldn't survive. When I feel weak, You are my strength. When I feel lost, You are my light. When I feel anxious, You are my calm. When I couldn't see a way, You opened one. When I failed, You didn't walk away. When I doubted, You remained steadfast. I'm not standing here because I had it all together. I'm standing here because You never let go. So today, I just want to say: Thank You. Amen.

If someone hurts you, the Bible instructs is to forgive, as our Heavenly Father has forgiven us.
But that doesn’t mean it happens overnight. There is no timeline for healing.
Give yourself grace as you wrestle through the process of forgiveness.
You’re human. You’re allowed to have feelings.
Sometimes it’s one step forward and two steps back.
On our own strength, it’s nearly impossible to fully forgive.
But by the power of the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to allow those wounds to heal.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting. It’s important to acknowledge the act that hurt us, as well as the ways that act impacted us — bring it to the feet of Jesus.
Grieve what you lost or suffered.
Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning.❤️‍🩹

Change Starts Here
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties.” Psalm 139:23 NKJV
Everybody wants the world to change, but very few want to be the ones who change first. We point fingers, assign blame, and pray prayers aimed at other people’s behavior. “Lord, fix them. Lord, deal with that. Lord, make them see.” But what if the shift you’re looking for around you has to start inside you?
That was David’s posture in Psalm 139. He didn’t pray for God to fix someone else or list the flaws of those who wronged him, he said, “Search me, know my heart, test me, show me where I’m off, lead me in the right way.” That is the prayer of someone who is ready to be transformed from the inside out. And until you pray it honestly, change will never take root.
The truth is, we love to diagnose others but avoid the mirror. We want to clean the atmosphere in our homes, our churches, our friendships, and our relationships, but we often resist cleaning the corners of our own hearts. We expect tenderness from others while holding onto bitterness ourselves. We want humility around us while pride rules within us. We want blessings to flow, but we return offense for offense. First Peter 3:8-9 says, “Be tenderhearted. Keep a humble attitude. Don’t retaliate. Pay them back with a blessing. God will bless you for it.” This isn’t soft talk, it’s spiritual maturity.
The world doesn’t change when everyone else shifts to fit your preferences. The world changes when someone is bold enough to say, “Start with me.” Just like in that old Peanuts comic strip where Lucy tells Charlie Brown she wants to change the world, and he asks her where she would start. Without hesitation, she says, “I would start with you.” But what if you flipped it? What if you stopped waiting for others to grow and asked God to grow you instead? Frances Hodgson Burnett once said, “At first people refuse to believe a strange new thing can be done, then they begin to hope it can be done, then they see it can be done, then it is done, and all the world wonders why it wasn’t done centuries ago.” That’s what inward transformation looks like. At first, you resist it, then you start to hope for it, then you step into it. And suddenly, the ripple effects begin.
So today, be brave enough to pray this prayer: “Lord, search me. Try me. Show me what needs to go. Lead me in the everlasting way.” The change you’ve been praying for may not start with your significant other, your family, coworkers, kids, or your church. It may start in your own heart. And if you let God do the work in you, the world around you won’t be able to stay the same.

Today's Prayer 🙏
Heavenly Father, I seek Your encouragement to illuminate my path today. Renew my hope and strengthen my spirit. Forgive my moments of doubt and self-pity, which draw me away from Your truth. Today, I lift up another in prayer—place them before me and guide me to bless their life. Calm my heart, steady my steps, and lead every decision I make. In Your holy name, Amen.
