Ok Iām almost finished with the first AA game and I am kind of obsessed with how they chose to start the episodes. The openings almost always make it explicitly clear that our client is not the murderer. In The First Turnabout the opening even shows the real culpritās face. And I could understand if there were complaints about that reducing the tension of the case, but I actually really love it.
Because itās not meant to be a whodunnit, is it? The point of the game isnāt figuring out who the killer is, itās proving it to the court. So itās not enough to see the killer, we have to find the right evidence and make the right arguments and convince everyone of something that you the player already know to be true. Phoenix wholeheartedly believes in his clientsā innocence, and those chapter openings make it easy for us to believe too. Now the only challenge is to defend them.
And then comes Turnabout Goodbyes and everything is turned on its head. We see Edgeworth holding the gunāhow could Edgeworth not be the killer? The game has made it infinitely harder to trust our client. But we have to defend him, because Phoenix Wright believes wholeheartedly in his clientsā innocence. He will always believe in people who have no one else on their side, even when the evidence is stacked against them. So even though that first round of trial and investigation feels like grasping at straws... we do it anyway. Because Phoenix Wright believes in people. And he makes us want to believe in people too.

THESIS: the real reason that people stay on this hellsite is notĀ āchronological orderā orĀ āthe dramaā or whatever (per se), but is instead linked to how tumblr, unlike most social media, is not optimised to give content as short of a half-life as possible, but instead is optimised to let content continue to cycle for months, years, even decades. this has in turn led to a more consistent centralised siteĀ ācultureā in which there is more coherent linkage among different areas of the site, thus also explaining why its content permeates so thoroughly throughout the internet.

Also here's a 135 question quiz about your personality. in fact why don't you write an essay about how much you fucking love this company before we've paid you even a penny.

My theory is she accidentally washed her white coat with a red shirt.
Because it's totally something she would do.
Do you know why Tashigi's marine coat is pink instead of white?
I donāt think it was ever mentioned by anyone in the story or by Oda himself, so I can only share my personal thoughts.
In my opinion itās just a design choice to make her stand out more. When she was introduced after the timeskip, she was referred to asĀ āthe only flower in filthy G5ā or something like that, hence the choice of pink because itās girly/cute/delicateā like a flower. Also pink is not too far from the standard white so itās not like itās a totally wild choice. And apparently high-ranking Marines can wear what the hell they want so itās totally acceptable story-wise too.
I have sometimes joked with @s-fishrainā that Oda made her theĀ āDisney princessā of the Marines. This kinda sums up what sort of image I think heās trying to convey with the pink coat.
Personally Iām not a big fan of the pink coat because I donāt really dig the whole āgirlyā makeover Oda gave her post timeskip, that includes the coat but also the bigger boobs, longer hair, the other pink accessories etc. I preferred her blue/red/yellow color scheme from pre-timeskip and her more tomboyish design. Iām curious to see if the next time she shows up sheāll be wearing something different.
