most tumblr fans talking about ghosts: i really relate to the captain because of how his sexuality is explored

me talking about ghosts: mary's english sounds different to standard english due to a lack of education and also dialectical differences. by contrast, robin's english differs from standard english because it's not his native language and he's lived through so many different languages and shifts in english (he may well speak old/middle english fluently) - it's highly possible that his grammar is flawed because he struggles to remember which grammatical functions english uses. ironically enough, there's a good chance that most of the ghosts (being either nobility, rich, or living late enough in the 20th century that they might have learnt another language at school) speak french - with the obvious exceptions of mary, jemima, and the plague ghosts

Just Mike going about his life, with no visible ghosts. Things move, lights flicker, sometimes Mike smells "burnings" but no ghosts are seen. Alison has one-sided conversations with thin air and the audience must fill in the blanks, just as Mike often does.

It could be funny and it could also be melancholy: I imagine it's lonely being the only person in the house who can't see everyone else.

We and Mike deserve it.
