ok i really didnt want to make a post about this but no one on earth is using their brains so i guess i have to. im doing this on a sideblog so i get less harassment LOL

so like… everyone on earth is making jokes about “femboys” right now because i guess thats the big meme of the month but like. that word comes from transmisogynist porn… like before maybe a year ago i didnt see anyone identifying with it positively at all, it was in my experience exclusively used in transmisogynist porn contexts. and i have been openly critical of it as soon as i first started seeing people “reclaiming” it as an actual identity. but now its a Joke so everyone is saying it extra much and it literally makes it impossible to use any social media.

and please dont say that it’s not transmisogynist bc its actually talking about “feminine men” or something, like what do you think transmisogynists see trans women as? that is absolutely the origin of the term.  if you can understand how terms like “tr*nny” or “sh*male” are transmisogynist, why cant you understand this term? (not saying its necessarily as bad as those ones but there are a ridiculous amount of transmisogynist terms)

and im not the only one who feels this way, ive talked to other trans women about it and they all feel similarly about it. i dont know how its gotten this big without me seeing one single post about the word’s origins but people seem genuinely unaware, so hopefully this will make at least some people stop joking about it?

and if youre reading this please reblog it, its extremely exhausting having to explain this to people every time i see someone making jokes about the word. and if you arent transfem please also make sure you get other people to stop when you see it. link them this post if you want but please say something. dont tolerate transmisogyny.

This is the best video IMO that displays the depth of what it feels like to be Black in the midst of white supremacy.

This is the rage that burns in so many Black people and eats at us when it is not sufficiently soothed by our self restraint and years of learning to cope with and sit with us. This is the pain that shortens Black people’s very lives, that we smother each day. This is the justified yet unjustly ignored anger we have learned to hold and to aim and to deal with without breaking (too much).

This is the fire that those of you who are just showing up on the scene are learning to sit beside.

When you ask us ‘how we’re doing’, understand that this is the real core of it, every single day, and we have had to learn to laugh, to sing, to dance, to work, to grieve, to heal around heavy, heavy pain. I don’t get the feeling that y’all are expecting nor could you handle if we answered you like this. But I do feel like you should already know how we’re doing: we’re Black.

React. Guy is raping her. Nope. She was having a seizure. He was her helper. Friend of mine attacked him. Easy mistake when they teach you that. Friends quits bc of guilt. Me? (Cont) Guy gets arrested. I get pulled into the office and yelled at for NOT shooting him. Saved his life and hers and I got in trouble. Had to file paperwork. Didnt make any friends because they ront trust me. Cops will do drugs on weekends then arrest people for doing the same so they get their “quota” (which wink nudge dont exist). If a cop does something bad and you do the right thing and “rat him out” they will harass you. Found myself relocated when I testified against another cop. (Cont)

Cops get paid shit, taught to react first based on assumption, taught to specifically assume racist shit, taught to go OUT of their way to FIND shit, get thrown into an atmosphere of bullying if you dont comply, then get desensitized to shit. If you’re a good cop, You won’t make it , bc you can’t come out of that shit safe. I quit before I was forty. I’m fifty now and work in a mine. Fuck cops.

Reminder that it really doesn’t matter what ways you’re marginalized, if you’re not black you’re just as capable of anti blackness as white cishet people. No amount of “but I’m gay!”, “but I’m trans!”, or “but I’m not white!” changes that.

And being neurodiverse/disabled isn’t an excuse for anti blackness either.
