I wish people would understand that not everything is for everyone to get. you will be left out of some conversations, a lot of art will not apply to you, you will not like things that people you like enjoy, and just because you cannot add to the topic of discussion or relate does not mean that it is not valued or worthwhile. the internet has coddled people to such a concerning extent that everyone feels like they need to vocally disagree with something just because they don’t get it. Knowing something, and genuinely getting it are not the same. NOT EVERYTHING IS FOR YOUUUUU

is it just me who does not gaf about that harvard girl??? and ik thats shocking coming from me bc i shipped lyra and grayson back when it was phone girl and grayson, but i just… dont really care
LIKE MY BRAIN IS STILL CONVINCED SHE WAS MADE UP.
okay and in that little snippet we get of graysons pov in glorious rivals, grayson says he kissed 4 people, INCLUDING lyra. so emily, avery, eve, and then lyra.
and ik some ppl are saying he must of “not kissed eve then”, but cmon. HE WAS LITERALLY CALLING HER “EVIE”. THEY KISSED.
not to mention grayson saying he kissed a girl at harvard was basically right after that interview where he kissed avery. i honestly think he was lying to make jameson and avery believe he was over the kiss, because they were both there when he said it, and grayson literally said he didn’t want to get in the way of jameson and averys relationship in like, THE FIRST BOOK!!
he knew jameson felt conflicted after the interview with the kiss got out, so grayson obv wasn’t going to continue to hurt his brother by meddling in his and averys relationship any further. he lied to ensure jameson that he was “done” with avery and that he was no longer going to try to pursue her.

my biggest Grayson hawthorne headcanon is that he is a VERY picky eater. like you cant tell me this man doesn't eat the same thing every day💀 he def eats like the blandest chicken and chips meal and freaks out if hes served anything else. he 100% also hates weird textures and smells in food. people probably assume he eats caviar and truffle or whatever rich people eat but in reality, hes out there with his barely seasoned chicken (he for sure finds black pepper too spicy)

The thing that kinda makes me a bit mad about some people in the fandom erasing Peeta from the victors and the rebellion is that Suzanne Collins gave him first, before anyone else, the line that, I would argue, is the thesis of the entire series. You know that one:
“I don’t know how to say it exactly. Only…I want to die as myself. Does that make any sense?” he asks. I shake my head. How could he die as anyone but himself? “I don’t want them to change me in there. Turn me into some kind of monster that I’m not.”
[...]
“No, when the time comes, I’m sure I’ll kill just like everybody else. I can’t go down without a fight. Only I keep wishing I could think of a way to…to show the Capitol they don’t own me. That I’m more than just a piece in their Games,” says Peeta.
Like... This is Haymitch's whole reasoning in Sunrise, that's the point of Lucy Gray's song: Nothing you can take, that's why Katniss decides Rue should be buried in flowers, that's why she and Peeta do the berries stunt , that's why the victors hold hands in catching fire and that why Katniss directly quote him in district 2 in Mockingjay.

KyoKao is probably the best dynamic in the Host Club (aside from TamaHaru, ofc), bc Kyoya and Kaoru have, in a way, "lost" the person they cared abt most / depended of in a way.
Like, Kyoya. If someone tells me this man isn't at least bi and had a serious crush on Tamaki from the start, I'm telling them to rewatch the show, bc have you seen the guy?
And, when Tamaki obviously fell for Haruhi, he accepted it, but it must've tore his heart out —poor guy.
Now, speaking of Kaoru, when Hikaru admittedly developed feelings for Haruhi, Kaoru just kinda acknowledged the fact that it really wouldn't be him and his brother apart from everyone else.
And that Hikaru would eventually, as he put it, 'realize he wants to take the next step on his own'.
They're both genuinely nice guys deep down, and bc of this similar experience, I think they would understand and compliment each other rly well.
They'd know what it's like to be set aside, or replaced, in a way, and they for sure wouldn't want to put the other through that.
So yeah! I think they'd make a great couple.

It occurs to me that there are people who weren’t on this website in 2012 and therefore never saw the magical gif that you can actually hear:

So we all know the 75th Quell wasn’t just for Katniss now, right??
It was - get rid of Finnick, people tell him too much and like him too much
It was - get rid of Mags (she’ll volunteer to save anyone), she’s always been too much of a rebel and cares more about the tributes than the games (i.e. hiding Finnick from cameras)
It was - get rid of Beetee, we’re finally done with him (I want to know why he’s suddenly disposable though). But let’s make it as awful as possible and remind him every day what his son was feeling in his own last days
It was - get rid of Wiress (and also show the world what she’s become) because she never should have won (and we’ll show people what happens when you think you’re smarter than the Capitol)
It was - get rid of Johanna Mason, we killed everyone she loved and it didn’t break her enough so now we can’t control her
And of course, it was - get rid of those rebels from 12
But it wasn’t just punishment for Katniss. She had no idea how influential and volatile of a group they were.
Honestly, I feel like the 3rd Quell might have actually worked if the Capitol hadn’t decided to just send all the most rebellious and threatening victors into them. You can’t put 10+ people who rebelled in their own games back into an arena (and this time they’re all together) and expect it to go well for you???

“I wonder if this is why he’s never had a girlfriend. Because he’d take her on dates to the library, then insist on sitting there creepily while she ate dinner alone.”
