“It seems like it, with all the talking everyone’s do- hey!” She glared at Ned as he reached over and closed her laptop screen with one hand. “What the hell?”

“I think it’s time we all took a break,” Ned declared. “How about a movie night?”

“Don’t thank me until we see Ian’s reaction.” As if this was all for Ian- but wasn’t it, at least a little bit? That’s not what she’d told Sinead, but obviously, she’d figured it out on her own.

“I’m not doing this for that,” she protested anyway.

“Sure. But if his jaw doesn’t drop just a little bit, I’ll be so disappointed.” Before clarifying whether she would be more disappointed in herself or Amy, she strode in, making a beeline to where one of her brothers- Ned, on closer inspection- was already sitting with Hamilton.

“I bet Amy could use some help,” Sinead butted in. “Maybe you two can work together.”

“I can help!” Jonah volunteered.

“No, no, I’m sure I can handle that, at least,” interjected Ian, who all of a sudden seemed suspiciously eager to help her cook.

“Well, we’re all gonna be studying back at the dorm later if you wanna join us,” Jonah offered.

Amy was fully prepared for them to say no- or for Sinead to refuse outright, and for her brothers to go along with it- but as it happened, Sinead had just taken a bite of food and could only watch, mouth full, as Ted agreed.

honestly i think in this whole series dan cahill had the best priorities. all anyone else cared about was the clue hunt but guys dan just wanted to be a ninja warrior i think that was very brave of him
