“A LITTLE FIRE BURNS UP A GREAT DEAL OF CORN.”- Theerathon’s case
Hello guys!
Now there’s a hot issue about Theerathon Bunmathan who is the former player from Buriram United. But now, he is with SCG Muangthong United which is the rival team of Buriram United.
Tumblr media
It’s like normal news, right?
No! I would say it’s not…
No one knows the real reason that Theerathon moved to SCG Muangthong United.
But it’s start from the post on Buriram ’s Facebook page that mentioned about Theerathon in a negative way and the admin who is team owner ‘s wife replied to the post like she supported that post.
There’s a Facebook account using name “ปกรณฺ ประวิทย์” (Pakorn Pravit) post a message on Buriram’s page and that post is kind of insulting Buriram’s player in the match with FC Seoul which Buriram lost 6-0.
Tumblr media
And the admin supports that post and also comments insult the players. It makes many Buriram fans grumpy.  Finally, Theerathon came out and post the comment insult the Facebook account “Pakorn Pravit.” Theerathon said that he did his best but he can’t beat that team and if you are not satisfied, just sell him to other team.
Tumblr media
After that, Theerathon’s father came out and posted a message on Facebook. The message is “if they can’t see your value, you can come back home anytime.”
Tumblr media
After this situation, it’s a tough time for Theerathon. The team didn’t send him to play for two matches in Thai League.
On May 11, Buriram’s page posted a declaration that Theerathon is to leave the club to join the rival SCG Muangthong United. It has stunned many fans.
Tumblr media
It might be good for Theerathon because his home province is Nonthaburi where is SCG Muangthong United located.
There were 5 teams that offer a deal to Theerathon but he chooses the rival team like SCG Muangthong United. Some opinions on Internet said that it’s because he want to slight Buriram United.
Tumblr media
Many people on Internet said that everything happens because of only one opinion on Facebook’s page. If the admin didn’t comment like that, this will not happen. Just only one opinion in the media causes a big change.
“A LITTLE FIRE BURNS UP A GREAT DEAL OF CORN.”
This news spread widely. There are many opinions from other countries that also stunned from this news.
Tumblr media
Izee Worsa : Muangthong United is Thailand National Team .
Thohir Ibnu Sabil : Unbelievable
Xie Shulu : Unbelievable news. How could Buriram sold his best player to the biggest rival in the domestic league? And before Theeraton said to the reporters he’d like to play in Japan….
Gary Sai Lam Wong : I hope Buriram will draw Muangthong in the cups and have match playing at Thunder Castle.
Din Raisza : What drama behind of this transfer? Thought burriram on crisis now

Thai football x Society of Spectacle
Hello!
I’m so sorry for not updating this blog about 3 weeks.
It’s been such a long week that I was suffered from the exam. Lol
But now I’m back : )
Today I’m going to talk about the Society of Spectacle.
Let’s see what we see the football player in the media is their real life or not!
What is Society of the Spectacle?
Nowadays, we live through a representative of life.
It’s Society of the Spectacle.
What we see is not real.
People judge the image from what they see.
For example, everyone in the world knows Michele Jackson but how many people have met the real Michele Jackson? Although few people know Michele Jackson in reality, lots of people know him as the king of pop and people in every country know his songs and see his pictures. People will believe in what they see. So, people recognize Michele Jackson as they see in the media and that’s their Michele Jackson. Then, which one is more important between the images of Michele Jackson or the real Michele Jackson?
 Same as the celebrities!
Thai football x Society of Spectacle
Celebrity is the person who are well-known about something or in any fields such as entertainment industry, politics and sports. Also, they have to be tangible.
I would say that Thai football player becomes a celebrity as a sport figure. They are well known in sport field. They become a central of attention. So, they are a commodity of media and many businesses.
What people see on their social media is an image that they create. It’s not how they live in real life. So, we will recognize them as what we see from media.
It’s hard to distinguish what is real and not real.
Nowadays, when Thai football players go to play a match in other countries, they will wear suit. News will present just only the picture that they wearing suit. Then, we recognize that “Ah! They wear a suit.” And they look really good. Media in Vietnam also reports the news about Thai players wearing suits that they look good and polite. (http://bongdaplus.vn/tin-bai/76/133691/messi-thai-deo-balo-chuot-mickey-sang-viet-nam-thi-dau.bdplus)

Tumblr media

But actually those suits are sponsored by Jaspal!
People see that they wear it in real life but actually it’s just advertising.
Yet, people already recognized them as a man in suit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
 © Pantip.com | http://pantip.com/topic/34290588
More than that, Instagram is the way to communicate to their fans. Each of them has followers at least 50,000 (up to 1 million people!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They can reach a million of people by only one post. When people see it everyday, it will be absorbed automatically. That makes people recognized the player’s images as they want us to see.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, Thai football players have a new image which is different from the past. We don’t really know about their real life. We never know. Their personal Instagram are still what they want people consume. The real them are not the same as we think. Their image in media is more effective than their real person.  So, just consume what they feed us. Just know only what they want us to know, otherwise you might be disappointed : )

Thai Football and Pop Culture
What is Pop Culture?
Pop Culture is the cultural activities aimed at the tastes of the general masses of people. It’ can be the entertainment that most people in a society enjoy, for example films, TV programmes, music, sport, etc.
So, Thai football is a Pop Culture. :)
Nowadays, football becomes more and more popular among Thai people. People are not interested only the tactic or how they play but they are also interested in the players. That makes Thai football becomes popular in Asia. More than that, Thai players are really good-looking and it makes more people keep an eye on Thai football.
Thai football becomes Pop Culture in Thailand.
Thai football fever becomes more popular.  Recently, Thai won in AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 in Malaysia and it is the 4th time that Thailand be the champion. It’s like a new year present for Thai people and more people keep an eye on Thai football. Moreover, the players become more popular. During the AFF Suzuki cup 2014, not many people know about the players. Due to the appearance of players, people get to know more about them. The most popular player is the Thai-Swiss player who is the midfielder.

Another player who’s getting more and more popular in everyday is Chanathip Songkrasin, or we know him as “Messi Jay.”
He’s the smallest player in Thai football but his skill is really great. He’s the important player in every game. He does not have only a football skill, but also his humour. Moreover, he’s a down-to-earth person. That’s why many people really like him.
Tumblr media

The last player is the best defender AFF Suzuki cup 2014, Narubadin Weerawatnodom. It is not surprising to see him as the most popular player from Buriram United. Of course!  He has a good skill and he’s also good-looking.
Tumblr media

These three players are the factor that makes more people from every country in Asia interest in Thai football, especially among women. Lol
How can we know that that Thai football becomes more popular?
If we ride a time machine back to 2012, Thai football is not a fever like nowadays.
Yes! There are many people interest in the national team. But for the Thai premier league or any football cups, I would say that “there’s no seat for sitting, there’s just a seat for laying down,” because the stadium was empty! But now, there’s no area for standing. The ticket sold out in every single match!
 Let’s see how it changes!
This is the statistic of the number of audience in Thai Premier League.

As we can see, the total number of audience is increasing over time.
 Is it good or bad?
Like I mentioned it many times that there’s many people go to watch at the stadium but they not really focus on football game. They just take a selfie or video, check-in on Facebook or uploading pic on Instagram.
Thai football becomes a pop culture and a lot of people are involved in this culture. They use social media to follow the players and also the updates from the official pages.|very time they go to watch the football match, there is something that they never miss it… Check-in on Facebook and uploading pictures on Instagram.
Icon
Like I said that they use social media to follow everything about Thai football so they have to follow that players. That makes the players gain more followers. After they have many people following them, they become a tool of advertising. Thai football players, including the coach, become a presenter of many brands. It means they become an icon of Thai football.

True or False : Thai football stereotypes
Hello guys~
How was your Valentine’s Day?
It was just an ordinary day, right? Hahaha
This week, I’m going to talk about the stereotype of Thai football. Some people are still misunderstanding about it. Let make it clear!
1.There’s always Thai boxing in soccer.
False
Tumblr media Tumblr media
© sport.mthai.com
At the beginning, I have to say that it’s true but now there’s no more. It’s sarcasm of Thai football. In the past, if the players are not satisfied in the game result, they always fight with another team. They were so emotional and can’t control their mood. Thai professional league for association football clubs has to be more serious in regulation that the clubs have to pay fine if their players do the inappropriate thing in the game. Another important factor that makes this problem better is new media. We have the live program which means more people is watching that game. If the players do something bad, a lot of people will talk about it and no one can control the power of media that we can’t stop when people say something bad about that players. Also, there are some people has exaggerated and no one can control that as well.
Also, nowadays, everyone is connected. There are more ways to interact with the players like Instagram or Facebook so when that player do the inappropriate in the game, many fans will comment with bad words in the player’s personal Instagram or Facebook. Just only a small mistake can cause a huge effect. So, nowadays, there’s no more boxing in the football match.
2.Thai football players are not wealthy
False
In the past, being a football player doesn’t give you a lot of income if you are not the really good or the star of the football team. But nowadays, it’s already changed. The players have more chance to make more income because the standard of Thai league is developing obviously and the clubs have many sponsor that always support their team. It makes being a football player is a career which makes a lot of money. Moreover, Thai football became trendy and the players get more and more popularity because of social media. There are more people follow them. So, another way that they can make money is being a presenter and their performing fee is very high. (It’s not lower than the well-known actor or actress!)
A salary per month.
Mario Gjurovski – 1,400,000 Baht

Teerasin Dangda- 700,000 Baht

Theerathon Bunmathan – 600,000 Baht

3.Football players must be tall.
False
There’s a lot of people still believe that the players must be tall. (From my experience, I took my friend to watch a football match but when she saw the player she said, “Why he’s so small, I think they must be tall!”)
In Thai league, there are many small players and that doesn’t make them have less skill than others. Moreover, they have a very good skill and they are like a star of the team.
There’s a gang in Thai league that always call themselves as “Smurf.” (As you know that Smurf means short people.)
Chanathip Songkrasin 157 cm
Tumblr media
Kroekrit Thaweekarn 162 cm
Tumblr media
Datsakorn Thonglao 167 cm
Tumblr media
Sarach Yooyen 168 cm
Tumblr media
The height doesn’t mean anything in football if your skill is good enough.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. All Buriram fans are from Buriram province.
False
At the beginning, Buriram fans are from Buriram province because it’s a local team and Buriram is a very big province. But nowadays, there are more fans from other province and also Bangkok because of the media. Everyone can watch football match if they can access Internet. There are communities of the football club on Internet. The most important one is Facebook page. People can follow up the information about their beloved team on Facebook and that information is the official one so they can believe the information that come from the official page. The page always provides the information and news on the page. As you can see, it’s really easy to access and keep track. More than that, every team has their own jersey. You will see a lot of people wear the team’s jersey on the match day, although they are not going to watch it in the stadium. Football fans are proud when their beloved team won and they are wearing that team’s jersey! It’s like we can show off to others that my team won! Isn’t it? So, it makes the team get more and more fans. Not just only from their province, but also from everywhere of the world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. Female football fans like football because of football players.
False
Not really.
Yes! There are a lot of female fans more than the past. But since Thai football is not that popular as nowadays and there were not many good-looking players, about 40 percent of the audience in the stadium were female. I agree that many female fans are watch football because of the good-looking players. But not everyone…
Because of the social media again…
When the good-looking players post his picture with a caption like “See you at the stadium”, a lot of female fans were persuaded by that message. And there were a lot of girls in the stadium. But we can separate between that kind of fans and the real fans! That kind of fans just take a picture of the players all the time and scream out loud when that player got a ball. But the real fans will sing to cheer up the players and watch through the eyes, not the camera.
And there are some players want their fans to focus on their football skill, not their looks.
Here’s the interview from The New Paper.
Tumblr media
"Yes, of course I like it (the attention), it is a great feeling. But in the end, it is also difficult to handle because you don't know if they like you just for your looks or for your football skills. And for me, I hope it's football," said the hottest Thai football player, Charyl Chappius.

How the media affects Thai football
Hello guys!
I’m back! :)  Today, I’m back with the topic which is in our daily life. That is MEDIA... But the blog is about football, right?  Let’s see how the media influence Thai football. Media has been developing in everyday. The media have influenced in football as well. In the past we have only the old media like newspaper or magazine. It was just only a print prediction and result or an article about football club or sport. If you want to watch the football match, you must be at the stadium. But nowadays, everything has changed. We have Internet which is able to access everything. You can watch a football from anywhere via Internet. That makes football matches gain more audience. The technology is really important to the coverage of sport in the media. Not only does it allow the new forms of media to be possible, but it also allow features like instant replays, split times etc.
First of the media developing in football is Satellite television. Satellite television has a huge effect on football. It makes football becomes more popular because it can be watched from any places. More than that, there are more spectators who watch the football from their devices which leads to increase in participation. For the football team, they will get more profit from the advertising which is advertised in on the television or internet and that profit can be use in improving the facilities, equipment and so on because the sports shown on TV generate more sponsorship.
Tumblr media
Another step is Internet. The Internet has affected football a lot. For example, there are more ways to connect like chat rooms, Facebook page, team websites etc. These things affect football in a good way. These are the space for discussing and sharing the opinions from the spectators so the team can hear another aspect and voice from spectators. Moreover, Facebook page and team website are the ways to provide the information about football club, statistics, profile of players and also the match schedule so the people can keep track of what’s going on. These can get people more involved in the sport.
Moreover, the media makes football more interesting. For example, the football team uses the media in the tricky way to make an advantage for the team. About 3 hours before the match begins, the Facebook page will post a name list of squad and the strategy. But when the game starts, the squad and the strategy are not same as they announced. They do it to spoof the rival team and make them confused.
Tumblr media
SCG Muangthong United’s Squad l Muanthong United FC https://www.facebook.com/SCGMuangthongUnited
But, is there only the positive side?
Of course not…
Media can also have negative effects on Thai football. There’s not only a positive opinion in the space for discussion like a Facebook page. Everyone can access Internet means that everyone can access to other team’s pages as well. Some people have bad behaviors. They post a hate speech on other’s page. They aim to persuade people to hate the rival team. Sometimes the hate speech or insulting message comes from the admin of football team. They incite football fans to hate another team with that kind of message.
Tumblr media
Another negative effect is people pay attention to the football player’s private lives. The football players in this era are good-looking and they got many fans. As we can see in the Thai league, Ton- Narubadin Weerawatbodom has a really good hairdo in every single match. He said that he needs more than 10 minutes to set his hair and he will be really confident when he’s playing football with a good hairdo.
Tumblr media
©Thaimarketing.in.th | http://thaimarketing.in.th/2014/12/20/thai-football-hair/
Thai football becomes more and more popular. Many of them face the problem about too much attention being paid to their private lives. Some of them were stalked by their fans. Most of them gains more followers and likes on Instagram and Facebook. They all seem like a net idol. Because of their popularity, they become a tool of advertising.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This also affects to the real football fans who has been following them for long time ago. With my experience, about 6 years ago, the ticket is really easy to buy. You can buy it at the stadium before the match begins and the cheering in the stadium is so powerful. But nowadays, the tickets always sold out so fast and it’s rarely to find because more people turn to watch football. It’s good that we have more football fans. But something has changes from the past. There’s no more powerful cheering like before. Everyone comes to watch a football but they still watch their phones and tablets all the time. Taking and uploading picture to tell your followers that you are at the stadium doesn’t give a spirit to the players in the stadium. So, how about the people who’s the real fan that always ready to shout out loud to cheer up the players? There’s no seat for them.
However, we all are the 12th player. Nowadays, we have media but you should remember that you are luckier than the fans in 6 years ago that we cannot even see their pictures real-time and we never know any updates from the players directly. Now you have Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and so on. See! How lucky you are! So, we need to leave some space between the players and us, and use the media to follow them in the right way. :)

Where to go when you arrive at the stadium too early..
Hello guys!
Have you ever feel bored when you have to wait for a long time?
When you go to watch a football match and you arrived there too early, you must go somewhere for killing time, right?
Today I have a recommend café for Muangthong fans!
There are two café nearby SCG Muangthong stadium for chilling out with your friends or just spending time alone. If you are lucky enough, you will meet football players exclusively!
Ok! Let’s see!
 FARADAY
Open: Tuesday-Sunday 10.30am – 10.00pm
Tel: 081-841-4456
Facebook: facebook.com/faraday1414
IG: faraday_cafe
Faraday café is located in Muangthong Thani. A decoration is so outstanding with an industrial loft style. There are a lot of outdoor and indoor seats. It’s suitable for chilling, eating, working or reading books because noise inside the café is not that loud.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, there’s a variety of menu; coffee, soft drink and alcohol, including waffle, burger, salad, spaghetti, toast and so on. The price is not too expensive. Beverage costs around 60-125 baht. Food and dessert cost around 70-129 baht.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Favorite
My most favorite menu is Matcha Fuji.
Actually it’s just green tea frappe but it has a little gimmick.
Tumblr media
They give me only a jar of milk frappe and a bottle of green tea. So, I have to pour green tea into the milk jar. I really like to see when the green tea going combine with milk. A taste is really great. It’s not too sweet.  (I don’t like sweet.)
Tumblr media
Another one is brownie. Yes, it’s a normal dessert that every café has. But at the Faraday café, a brownie is soooo gooooood! I don’t know how to explain. A texture is so smooth while it’s a bit crispy. It’s not too sweet and a chocolate taste is not too dark. This is an amazing brownie! Lol. But my friend said that it’s just a delicious brownie, not that amazing. So, how about you? Go to try it and tell me how do you feel! :)

If Faraday is not your style, here’s another suggestion.
 DX Playground
Address: 50/301 Moo9 Soi C9 Bond Street Road, Non Buri, Nonthaburi, Thailand 11120
Open: Everyday 7.30 am - 7.30 pm
Tel: 02-961-2426
Tumblr media
DX Playground is a container café. A decoration is rarely to find. This café was created from the owner of Design EX Company’s idea. They use container boxes to open the café area.
Tumblr media
They will serve a breakfast in the morning until noon, but there’s other menu as well. You can come to drink coffee and chill out here because the atmosphere is really great! Although it’s modern style, there’s still greenery. Chilling there with your favorite coffee! Such a great moment!!!
Tumblr media
The signature of DX playground is BEER!
There’s many kind and many brand of beer.
But I never tried. Lol
All food is yummy, even Pad Ka Prao!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Favorite
But my favorite menu is noodle. YES! NOODLE!
There’s a noodle shop called “Guay Tiew Ta Nuad”. It’s located next to DX Playground café which will close at 3pm.
Another menu is Strawberry Fresh Cream.
Tumblr media
Once, I went to eat a Strawberry Fresh Cream at Starbucks in the morning and it’s delicious as a Starbucks’s style. Then, I went to DX Playground in the evening and I ate the same menu Strawberry Fresh Cream. It’s more delicious than the Starbucks’s one! You can try this at DX Playground only!!

Thailand vs Taiwan: live from Rajamangala Stadium
Hello. ~
Last Thursday there was World Cup Qualifier match between Thailand and Taiwan at Rajamangala Stadium. This week I’m going to write about this match. There was such a great memory. There are a lot of things that I can’t wait to tell you now!
 OK!
On that day in have a class which I can’t skip. So, I leave the university 4.30pm. I took a van to the Victory Monument and walk to Payathai station to take an airport rail link. I took an airport rail link to Ramkhamhaeng Station. There were a lot of people there. I thought I was gonna die right there because I have no air to breathe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then, I took a bike to the stadium. It was so funny that there were about 200 bikes were waiting for passengers. It cost 60 baht per person. I think it’s not that expensive because the stadium is far from there and the traffic is so terrible so the bike is the only one way to get to the stadium in time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the way to the stadium, I felt like I was in the Fast and Furious!! Moreover, me and the biker didn’t wear a helmet. It’s the most excited experience ever! Lol
Most of people on the road were heading to the same place, STADIUM!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
FINALLY!! I arrived the stadium about 30 minutes before the match starts.
Tumblr media
HERE’s Rajamangala National Stadium.
Tumblr media
At the entrance, a ticket keeper stamped on my arm for checking that I already walked in.
In the stadium, there’s a lot of people as I expected.
No more available seat. Luckily, my mom was in the stadium since 5pm to reserve our seats.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
On that day, we have a surprise for the players. When the players were walking into a field, we opened a flashlight on our mobile phones. YES! It came out really beautiful.
I took a picture of it but it’s not beautiful as the real one.

 GAME STARTS!
Thailand hope for 3 points from this match.
But, unfortunately, Taiwan lead Thai at the 2nd minute which make Taiwan get over Thai for 1-0. That makes the stadium freeze for 5 seconds because everyone’s still shocked. Then, we give a big applause for Thai players to cheer up.
At the 43rd minute, Teerasil Dangda, the player from Muangthong United, made the score 1-1.
During a half-break, I ate a sushi roll which my mom brought it for me. She knew that I will be hungry for sure! Lol
Tumblr media
At the 52nd minute, Pokklaw Anan made a goal. It makes Thai lead Taiwan with a score 2-1.
At the 65th minute, Taiwan make a score 2-2.
At the 72nd minute, Thana Chanabuth, the substitutor who just came in, pass a ball to Adisak Kraisorn, another substitutor. YES! Adisak made a goal. Thai lead Taiwan with a score 3-2.
At the 74th minute, Thai got a free kick. Thana Chanabuth made a goal, 4-2.
GAME ENDS WITH A SCORE 4-2!
NOW Thailand is still at the first place of Group F, with 13 point.
After the match, there were still a lot of people.
While we were walking to a bus stop, we can’tw walk because of there’s so much people. Not just walking, we can’t move!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally, I arrived my home about 11pm because of a bad traffic.
On that day I found a bad habit of some Thais there.
They reserved 7 seats with a silly paper and went out because they were lazy to sit there until the game starts. Then thay came in just 2 miniutes before kick-off.

Getting to Rajamangala Stadium
How to get to Rajamangala Stadium
Hello, it’s me again! :) I’m so excited for this week because the football match is coming again! On 12th November, there’s a big match at Rajamangala Stadium. More than half of Thais are waiting for this match, World Cup Qualifier. About 2 weeks ago, I wrote a blog about how to booking tickets. [link]
For those people who don’t have a ticket, I have to say sorry to you because the tickets were sold out in 2 minutes! But you can watch at home on ThairathTV channel. And congratulations to the survivors!
But… LISTEN! On that day, the traffic will be chaotic and there’s no parking lot anywhere nearby. Ramkhamhaeng is usually bad traffic, but on the match day the traffic will be horrendous. Moreover, there will be nearly 60,000 fans trying to get to the stadium!
Tumblr media
So this week I’m going to talk about how to get to the Rajamangla Stadium.
It is on Ramkhamhaeng road, next to Ramkhamhaeng University.
There are many ways to get there. By Airport link, bus, van, boat, and etc. It depends on where you start.
AIRPORT RAIL LINK
Tumblr media
Here’s the airport rail link line  © Thailandee.com
Let’s start with the Airport link. In case that you start from Victory Monument, I suggest you to use the Airport link because it’s the fastest way to get there.
-Take the Airport link train from Phayathai station to Hua Mark Station or Ramkhamhaeng Station. It cost 30 baht per person.
-Then, take a motorcycle to the stadium. It cost around 50-60 baht per person.
 BUS
Tumblr media
© Toptenthailand.com
Next is bus. I don’t suggest you to take a bus because it takes so long time and like I said “On match day, the traffic is so terrible as hell!”
But if you still want to go by bus, you have to leave the Victory Monument about 4-5 hours before kick-off time (7pm).
- Bus no. 168, 171, 537, ปอ.พ.4-2
  VAN
Next, van is a good choice. It takes so long time. But if you have time, it’s a good choice because the van will drop you in front of the stadium. But I don’t suggest to the person who start from the Victory Monument.
-From Thammasat University, take a van to Future Park Rangsit and then take the van, which go to Ramkamhaeng University.
- Then, tell the driver that you want to go to Rajamangala Stadium so the driver will drop you there.
*It cost only 30 baht per person.
* It takes about 2-3 hours.
 BOAT
Tumblr media
© mmthailand.com
Next, boat is another choice. It’s convenience for people who start from Siam or Central world.
- To increase your chance of getting a seat, you should go for boarding at Pratinam Pier where the boat starts.
- The boat will drop you off near Rajamangala Stadium. (at the back of Ramkhamhaeng Rd.)
* I suggest you to wear appropriate shoes for traction getting on and off the boat.
* It cost only 18-20 baht.
  PARKING LOTS
But if you still want to get there by personal car, there are some parking lots nearby the stadium.
1.     The Mall Ramkhamhaeng
-       Capacity: 300
-       1.7 km from the stadium
Tumblr media
2.     Big C Extra Ramkhamhaeng (Soi 123)
-       Capacity: 200
-       1.3 km from the stadium
Tumblr media
3.     Green Sport Co.Ltd.
-       Capacity: 400
-       3.6 km from the stadium
Tumblr media
4.     The Mall Bangkapi
-       Capacity: 200
-       3.7 km from the stadium
Tumblr media
5.     Lotus Bangkapi
-       Capacity: 200
-       4.5 km from the stadium
Tumblr media
6.     Samitivej Hospital
-       Capacity: 50
-       2.5 km from the stadium
Tumblr media
7.     Sports Authority of Thailand
-       Capacity: 1,500

Tumblr media
So enjoy the match! I’m looking forward to see you guys in the stadium.
Have a good week! :)

FIGHT TILL THE END: Muangthong VS Chonburi
FIGHT TILL THE END: Muangthong VS Chonburi
Last Thursday, there is a big match between Muangthong and Chonburi at SCG Stadium. I have a chance to watch this match at the stadium. This time I went with my friends. It makes this match is so memorable.
We leave the university at 7 pm and arrive to the stadium at 8pm because the traffic is so terrible. Normally it takes only 20 minutes to get to the stadium from university.
The stadium is located in Muangthongthani, Nonthaburi.

We can’t bring bottles or cans into the stadium because there are some people throw it to the audiences from away team when they are not satisfy something.
The situation was not really good for Chonburi.
Muangthong got Naoaki Aoyama back from a one-match ban for the crucial match. Muangthong’s front line led by Teerasil Dangda, who plays for National team, Cleiton Silva and Thitipan Puangjan.
Chonburi’s No.1 goalkeeper Sinthaweechai Hathairattanakool was injured in the last match so this match was not easy for Chonburi.
While Muangthong must win this match to have a chance to be the champion in Thai Premier League because the last match before, Muangthong got the 1-1 draw against TOT on the last Saturday so Muangthong must beat Chonburi on that day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There were a lot of Muangthong fans and all audiences sat on the edge of the seat all the game because the game was very pressure.

  DURING THE GAME
Tumblr media
When Muangthong got the first goal in the 20th minute by Mario Gjurovski, the ambient in the stadium was changed. Many people jumped along the song and screamed out loud with happiness, including us. Lol
I was really happy and extremely excited because I didn’t expect that Muangthong would win in this game.
Then, Chonburi make lost a defense so it makes Mario Gjurovski made a second goal in the 38th minute!
Tumblr media
Again! Mario Gjurovski passed a ball to Cleiton Silva. Shoot! Muangthong got 3-0 over Chonburi by Cleiton Silva.
Chonburi made a goal in the 61st minute.

This is a second hattrick of Mario Gjurovski in this season.
Here’s his interview after the game.

Tips for buying tickets: World Cup Qualifier Thailand VS Taiwan
Hello, guys! There will be World Cup Qualifier match between Thailand and Taiwan on this 12 November at Rajamangkala Stadium. I believe that this week many football fans are looking forward to book a ticket for this match. About 3 weeks ago, I posted the blog about my experience watching football at the stadium.
I’m sure that after you read it you will want to be a part of us!
Here’s a link: http://allabtsoccer.tumblr.com/post/129006827160/my-experience-thai-iraq-world-cup-qualifier-match
So this week I’m going to talk about how to book a ticket. Maybe some people are thinking why I have to make a tutorial of booking a ticket.
Do you know? It’s really hard to book a football ticket!
Nowadays, Thai football is really popular because of many factors like a promoting or a good-looking player.
In the past, not many people go to watch Thai Premier League so it was really easy to buy a ticket. For me, about 3-4 years ago, it’s so easy to book a ticket. I have a week to make a decision before I book it. But now I have no time to hesitate anymore.
I would say Thai people are so crazy about football now. Every time that the system open for the booking, everyone tries to book a ticket and it make the booking system fails. Many people choose to wait for a while and open the website to book it again. But sorry, all tickets already sold out! Every time it takes only 10 minutes, 50,000 seats will be sold out. Actually, there’s another way to book the ticket. You have to go to the Thai Ticket Major outlets, which has only 13 branches. Even you go to there before the mall open, they will open the counter at 10 am as online booking. You have a chance but it’s rarely.
So that’s why I have to make a tutorial of booking ticket.
First, you must know the price and zone that you want to sit.
Tumblr media
W1 – This is the best zone in the stadium. Of course! It’s also the most expensive zone. The seat in this zone is really close to football players. Also, the player who doesn’t play in this match will sit in this zone. It’s worth for 500 baht. If you want to meet some of them exclusively, select this zone!
W2-W3 – This zone is a normal zone. Although it’s far from the field, you can see the game easier. This zone has something special. There’s a roof above this zone. Although it’s raining, you will not be wet for sure!
E1 – This zone is good for watching. It’s cheap but this zone is not close to the field. There’s no roof here. But it’s worth for 300 baht.
E2-E3 – The seat in this zone is really great! Although it’s higher than E1, if you select this zone it will be a memorial moment because there’s a group of fans called “Thailand Hardcore”. They will lead you sing and shout for cheering Thailand. It must be very fun!
S-N – This zone is far away from the field. It’s not a good seat to watch football. But it’s a good seat for cheering! “Thailand Hardcore” is also in this zone. If you select this zone, you have to practice singing and exercise your voice to ready to shout and scream out loud!
Next, you have to choose the way to buy a ticket.
There are two ways..
COUNTER BOOKING
Tumblr media
© Thaiticketmajor.com
You have to wait in front of the mall 2-3 hours before the mall open. Then, when the door opens you have to run to the counter as fast as possible!
Tumblr media
© khajochi.com | Khajorn Chiaranaipanich
After you get in the line, now it’s easy!
Just tell the sellers what ticket do you want to buy and which zone do you want, and pay money. Then, they will print a real ticket to you. That’s it!
But only first 10-20 people will get the tickets. It depends on the sellers. It requires a luck and money. LOL
Maybe you think it’s hard, right?
Try another way!
 ONLINE BOOKING
Tumblr media
First you have to register before the booking day. On the booking day, you have to wake up early and open the website http://www.thaiticketmajor.com/, and login before 10 am. You have to open the booking page ( http://www.thaiticketmajor.com/sport/2018-fifa-world-cup-russia-thai-chinese-taipei-th.html ) and wait until 10 am.
Tumblr media
While you are waiting, I suggest you to prepare your finger and close down other programs and websites.
The war will begin at 10am!
At 10 am, if you can access the booking page, just select the zone and confirm your seat as fast as possible.
Tumblr media
Then, the website will ask you about a payment.
You can choose the easiest way for you, by credit card or bill payment.
Tumblr media
For the credit card, you can use Visa Card or Master Card.
For the bill payment, it’s so easy to pay. You can pay at the Counter Service (7-11), AIS Shop or Tesco Lotus. You can use a barcode, which show on the display after you confirmed your booking, and show it to the cashier to pay money. But you have to pay in the time limit, 3 hours after the confirmation.
Tumblr media
After you paid, you will get a receipt and you can change it into the real ticket at Thai Ticket Major outlets or at the door in front of the stadium on the match day.
I suggest you to book online because you can tell your friends and family to help you on other devices. But you can book only 4 tickets per time. If you already booked but you change a decision to not going, you just leave your booking and after 3 hours those tickets will send back to the system for selling other people again.
Ok! That’s it. Soooo easy! Right?
I’m looking forward to see you guys on the match day.
Be the 12th player together!
Let’s cheer Thai together! See ya! :)

FIFA ousts Worawi Makudi and the committee of FAT
Tumblr media
On October 12, Worawi Makudi, the head of Thai football association, was suspended for 90 days pending a full investigation for breaching the ethical code of the sport’s ruling body.
Tumblr media
© FIFA.com | Worawi Makudi
Worawi Makudi was on the FIFA executive committee in December 2010. In the past, he has been accused of misusing FIFA development funds, but he never accept this accuse and never been sanctioned.
And now his case is the subject of formal investigation proceedings. He faced multiple allegations of wrongdoing.
But he denies his accuses. After he knew the news, he told AFP that he would fight to save his reputation and intended to stay in the Thai election even though he was banned immediately from all football activities and international level for 90 days.
“I’m not guilty of anything. Under Thai law, I still have the right to appeal. I did not falsify anything, what I did was absolutely legal,” he said. He will fight for justice.
On July 2015, Worawi Makudi was found guilty by a Thai court of forgery in his re-election as a head of Football Association of Thailand so he was given a suspended prison sentence for one tear and four months.
Tumblr media
On October 18, Worawi Makudi and all executive committee of Thai football association were removed by FIFA. Now FIFA decided to put a normalization committee to observe the election of a new executive committee.
FIFA Emergency Committee removed the executive committee of the Thailand’s Football Association. FIFA also appointed a normalization committee in its place.
Actually there was a Football Association of Thailand election on 17 October 2015 but the election was postponed following Worawi Makudi’s suspension.
The new committee of Thailand’s Football Association has to revise the Football Association of Thailand electoral code and conduct the election of a new executive committee by February 2016.
“Executive bodies of Member Associations may under exceptional circumstances be removed from office by the Executive Committee in consultation with the relevant Confederation and replaced by a normalization committee for a specific period of time.” – Article7 Paragraph2 of the FIFA Statutes
Worawi Makudi and the committee were banned because of Article 7 paragraph 2 of the FIFA Statutes.
....................................................................................................
NORMALIZATION COMMITTEE
Following the consultations with the Football Association of Thailand, the Football Association of Thailand normalization committee shall be composed as follows:
Adm. Surawut Maharom (Chair)
Mr. Thana Chaiprasit (Deputy Chair)
Mr. Sattaya Arunthari (Member)
Mr. Manit Vadhanasara (Member)
Ms. Chuenchanok Sitiwat (Member)
Mr. Pinij Sasinin (Secretary)
Tumblr media
Surawut Maharom - Chair of a normalization committee
Tumblr media
Thana Chaiprasit - Deputy Chair of a normalisation committee
..............................................................................................................
FEEDBACK
There are many comments and feedbacks of removing Worawi Makudi and committee from Football Association of Thailand.
“FIFA+modern politicians=corruptionx2” – Michael Reynolds
“They really not understand Thailand.” – Nick Wilson
“Ban all in FAT! They are probably corrupt everyone in the board.” – Jan Ronneke
“Why does the FIFA logo look like VISA? I thought FIFA takes all its bribes in cash.” – Jeremy Porter

The Highlight of this week
The war between SCG Muangthong United and Buriram United.
After SCG Muangthong Uniter and Buriram United score 7-0 victories last week.
In this past week, SCG Muangthong United and Buriram United are really competitive and now SCG Muangthong United remain two goals ahead of Buriram United.
Buriram United kept up their winning ways with a 3-0 win over Bangkok United at the weekend.
“First, Theerathon Bunmathan’s free-kick from the right touchline evaded everyone and found the net. Diago Luis Santo’s excellent through ball then found compratriot Gilberto Macena through on goal and the goalkeeper Kittipong Phuthawchueak and rolled the ball home. Jandson Dos Santos’ last-minute strike added gloss to the scoreline.”
Tumblr media
© Buriram United | https://www.facebook.com/BuriramUTD
One hour later, SCG Muangthong United trashed Osotspa Samut Prakan 5-1 to maintain the TPL lead over Buriram on Goal Difference.
The SCG Muangthong United’s victory featured a double from in-form Cleiton Silva and strikes from Thitiphan Puangchan, Mario Gjurovski and Chananan Pombuppha.
Tumblr media
© Muangthong United FC. |  https://www.facebook.com/SCGMuangthongUnited
Because of the competition between SCG Muangthong United and Buriram United, other teams are fading away from the Champion of Thai Premier League. Both teams have to make a goal as much as they can for the better Goal Difference (GD).
The Goal Difference is really important. Although Buriram United has more opportunity, SCG Muangthong United has two goals over Buriram United on Goal Difference. Yes, SCG Muangthong United also did well.
The road to becoming a champion is not easy. For both SCG Muangthong United and Buriram United have ten matches to go so we can’t judge yet that which team will be a champion in this league.
But only one thing that I know, both teams can’t lose in any match. If one of them loses for one match, it will be very hard for that team to be a champion or I would say maybe that team will miss the champion.

And today I’m going to update the Thai squad of Thai National team, which is just reported to Kiattisuk Senamuang who is a coach for Thai National team.

SCG Muangthong United took the Thai Premier League lead after a 7-0 win.
SCG Muangthong United took the Thai Premier League lead after a 7-0 win.
On September 19,SCG  Muangthong United hold onto first place with 7-0 win over RAJ NAVY F.C, after Buriram defeat Chinat F.C. 7-0 as well.
Moreover, Teerasil Dangda can make it a hat-trick in this game. This is the 4th hat-trick and also the 84th goal for Teerasil Dangda in Thai Premier League.
This match team captain Datsakorn Thongl was banned for one match but SCG Muangthong United was able to control the midfield and they did well in this game. The first half was dominated by SCG Muangthong United. Muangthong kept possession.
youtube
Match Highlight - SCG Muangthong United 7 - 0 Siam Navy FC
The first goal came at 35 minutes from Mario Gjurovski who scored from close in. This goal Mario Gjurovski was assisted by Suriya Singmuy. Suriya Singmuy had rushed with the all to the touch line and then fed the pass across the goal.
Less than 2 minutes later, Teerasil Dangda made it 2-0.
The second half saw SCG Muangthong United really come to life with 5 goals to completely bury Navy FC. Goals came from Teerasil with 2, Cleiton Silva, and Chananan with 2. Although Chananan came on as a substitute, he made 2 goals. The substitutions were key in 3 of the goals, as Siwakorn also assisted on the 6th goal. The last 3 goals were all scored in the last 10 minutes of the match (including injury time) as Navy FC were unable to contain the onslaught.
The win is very significant for Muangthong as Buriram United also won 7-0 over Chainat. This means Muangthong will hold onto first place with the same one goal advantage they had heading in to tonight’s match.

Mario Gjurovski 38’
Teerasil Dangda 40’,53’,90+3
Chananan Bambuppa 77’, 84’
Cleiton Silva 90+1
Muang Thong United enjoy a one-goal advantage over Buriram at the top of the table with both sides having picked up 53 points so far.
Tumblr media
 ........................................................................................................................
The half was interrupted twice due to power failures and this became to a big topic which is on discussion from Burirum United supporters. They said Muangthong made power failures to break a game and wait for Burirum game result.
Tumblr media
Chanthala Thammavongsa – I’m Laos and I’m following Thai Premier Leagues. There’s only one thing I would say that Muangthong is cheating. TPL should check this team. Power failures? What? Thai football never goes to World cup because of this team.
So I’m going to talk about the conflict between SCG Muanthong United and Buriram United that was happened for a long time.
I don’t know what is the actual reason that causes the conflict between SCG Muangthong United and Burirum United. I asked many supporters of SCG Muangthong United and Burirum United about the reason of this conflict and they said something like “Muangthong always cheat on every game.” “Burirum uses black magic.”
But I think the real reason of this conflict is SUPPORTERS.
First, SCG Muangthong United and Burirum United are very competitive. Second, a behavior of supporters is not really well. Another reason is “Social media”.
A page on Facebook is really effective. The admin page is the opinion leader. Supporters who follow the page always believe in what admin said with no doubt. If the admin said that is good, the supporters will say that is good as well and they have no question like why that is good? They just believe “Ok, that’s good”
Buriram page always post something that cause the conflict like “We can lose anyone but we will never lose Muangthong.” This makes me think like why Muangthong? How about other team?
In the other hand, Muangthong page never post something which makes a conflict. The admin is more professional.
I think the page should post something neutral and do not take side. Although it’s a page for the supporters, the admin should post a fact and should not make a conflict. It’s an official page. If you want to post your opinion, you should post on your private account. When you use admin account to post something that is not neutral, the audience will see “Burirum said …” “Muangthong said …” But actually it’s the admin’s opinion, not the team’s opinion. So I would say the official page should post the official things like a live score, not the opinion that could destroy someone’s image because if you post to destroy other’s image, it will destroy yours.
But Muangthong has a good responding to cope with Buriram. Muangthong page’s admin never use a bad word when he mentioned Burirum in the post and never abuse other teams. When there’s a problem, the admin always explain with the reason. He never posts something with the feeling. Everything he posted based on the fact and never mentions anyone in a negative way.
Tumblr media
Buriram United – I won’t change the word I said… I feel a bit happy because there’s somebody who don’t like us always came to see our page. I’m happy. (There’s a word “Dee-ork” which is a twisted word of rude word in Thai.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From the power failure case, we would like to say sorry to Muangthong fans and Navy fans for the inconvenience. Because there are many events were using power around that area at that time. As we know that the power failure can be happen anytime. So we use a power generator for turn on the light in the stadium. This situation proved that SCG stadium can cope with this problem as the standard of AFC. However we apologize to all fans. But there are many things that make us smile. During that time many fans still singing, open a flashlight from mobile phones, wait for the game without any abusing and stay in the stadium until the game finished. The situation that was happened proved that Muangthong fans believe and always support the players… Thank you for your supporting. SCG Muangthong United.
This is what Muangthong page explain for the power failures that was happened in the last match.

my experience: Thai-Iraq World Cup Qualifier Match at Rajamangala National Stadium
Tumblr media
© PAUL MURPHY - http://www.espnfcasia.com/
There was a big match on September 8 and I was in the stadium with my friends. I leave the university at 5 pm. but the match starts at 6.30pm. Normally, it took at least 2 hours to go to Rajamangala National Stadium from Thammasat University but this time we had only 1 hour and a half to get there on time!
Finally, we arrived at the Rajamangala National Stadium at 6.20 pm, and then we ran as fast as we can. It’s not my first time, but I felt so excited like this is my first time. When we can get inside the stadium, there was no seat left for us! That’s not a problem, we were standing in front of the seat and this is such a great way to get into the football game. It’s better than sitting at your seat! Moreover, you can jump easily.  It was really impressive because everyone in the stadium was screaming and singing together. That was such a great moment! I suggest everyone to be there once in your life.

During the match, the time passed very fast.  After 35 minutes, Iraq got a score 1-0 with a stress among Thai fans. The first half was passing slowly because I feel really stressed out about the result of the first half.
Just 4 minutes into the second half, Iraq made it again 2-0. At that time I really want to back home and sleep because I feel like Thai must be lose for sure.
Luckily, with 10 minutes remaining, Theerathon Bunmathan from Burirum United reduced the deficit from the penalty spot! After that Mongkol Tossakrai netted the equaliser just three minutes after the Thai skipper had given the ASEAN champions an 80th minute lifeline.

I can’t explain the moment when Thai scored a goal because it was really impressed. Since the first goal of Thailand, the atmosphere was changed! Everyone in the stadium was screaming and shouting to cheer up the players in the field. I was also screaming and singing at that time. ‘WE ARE THAILAND. WE CHEER THAILAND. WE ARE THAILAND. WE CHEER THAILAND. LALALALALA…’ Everyone was singing and jumping without any shame. That was a beautiful moment. J
After the match, it’s really hard go home because this match had attendance of 43,572 fans and there was no car park for us so everyone had to use the bus. TT

Referee
There was a discussion about the referee. I can’t say anything about this because it has both sides.
But if you ask me to comment about it, I would say there was something unclear in referee. I mean there’s no transparency in this game. L
You shouldn’t believe me, please judge it by yourself.

Feedback
There were some comments and feedback from other countries and Thai people.
“Thailand is the example for ALL SOUTH EAST ASIAN countries (Vietnam, Sing, Malay, Indonesia…) to follow in term of football. Incredible projects and improvement. Hat off!” – tuan_jinn (footyroom.com)
“We should have won. This is so dissapointing. Well played Thailand.” – Iraqi_Madridista (footyroom.com)
“Thailand got off to a lively start and came close to opening the scoring on several occasions’. Anyone see that?” - @PaulmurphyBKK
“For the pressing need point. Zico acknowledged this point and that why Pratum Chuthong was substituted Suthinnun in second half. All errors happened to me it seems we are lack of experience against the top team to handle the opponent’s attacking. We need more friendly game against top level of football team” - Phunnachit Pao Yoosaeng
“The disgraceful japanese referee………….” - Waravuz Ackraseranee
“6 points against Vietnam and Taiwan will help Thailand to progress. Match at Iraq’s home will just be a formality by then.” - Amarin Mike Chutitanarat

The 12th player of Thailand
Thailand – Iraq. World Cup Qualifications – Asia. Rajamangala Stadium, Tuesday 8 September. 14:00
Thailand has never been even close to playing in the World Cup and this 2nd qualification round is the stage where they usually end the qualifications, which says a lot about quality of their football through the decades.  Thailand opened this qualification round with 2 victories, 1:0 against Vietnam and 2:0 against Chinese Taipei which puts them in 1st place of the group (having a game more than Iraq).
Meanwhile, Iraq has a bigger name than their opponents in Asian football, having played in the World Cup once, in 1986, and they have few solid players in European clubs.
Anyway, this week I’m going to introduce you to the 12th player of Thailand.

The 12th player is us, the supporters. :)
This video is an atmosphere in Thai-Vietnam match and this is a reason why the away team must be fear of the 12th player of Thailand!
