I'm fucking relieved!

It was starting to feel dystopian that Amazon, Netflix or, until recently, Disney didn't even acknowledge the allegations. And that's so fucked up.

Mind you, I know Amazon is only in it for the money, of course. But the ability to make money in this business depends also on public opinion and if public opinion allows you to go on like nothing happened, then big corporations will go on like nothing happened.

I was chatting with someone here on tumblr recently and I was telling them that I've lived in an alternative universe where Good Omens S3 could be done without the NG's involvement other than handing over the script.

I hope this is the first step in that direction. I hope they buy the script off him and seal the end of his career. The end of him.

I hope that's what happens, but, ultimately, if I had to chose between a GO S3 with NG's involvement or no S3 at all, I would choose no S3 at all.

people can be so weird about their double standards for fanfiction vs traditional fiction. once saw someone very seriously say that people who write fic for the terror are fucked up and need to stop because those were literally real people who died on the franklin expedition, but they were also completely fine with tv show the terror itself existing, despite the fact that it, too, is fiction about the literally real people who died on the franklin expedition. our blessed historical fiction vs their barbarous rpf.

A YouTube network that features a former Langley political candidate as one of its primary contributors has been accused of being funded by Russian operatives in a US Justice Department indictment. Surrey-raised Lauren Southern, who ran as a Libertarian candidate in the Langley-Aldergrove riding in 2015, was one of the content creators for a right-wing YouTube channel called Tenet Media. Between Nov. 6 last year and July 31 this year, Southern created 94 videos for the site. The indictment filed in the Southern District of New York targets two Russians, Kostiantyn Kalashnikov and Elena Afansyeva, with violations of the U.S. Foreign Agents Registration Act, and with conspiracy to launder almost $10 million that funded the YouTube network.
