enjolras and grantaire leave little notes around the house and in each others drawers between their clothes and in their lunches when they go to work just telling each other how much they love the other

so my headcanon is that enjolras is the absolute worst when he’s sick like he’s sulky and whiny and awful, and grantaire has to play doctor and bring him blankets and chicken soup and cold cloths to put on his forehead and they both pretend to hate the situation but they actually love the excuse to cuddle up in bed together and do nothing all day.

at the start of their relationship r is super jealous about enjolras because he can’t beleive somebody so perfect could have chosen him but enjolras tells him again and again how much he loves him until grantaire finally believes it

enjolras and grantaire end up sitting next to each other at what turns out to be an awful movie and they spend the whole time making snide remarks to each other about the crap representation and the misogyny and then when the movie ends they’re still talking and so they go get coffee together. and that’s always the movie they watch on their anniversary every year from then on even though they both hate it.

the first time they meet grantaire is absolutely trashed and he somehow stumbles into the wrong apartment at some godforsaken hour of the morning only time find enjolras still up, working on a college paper. he collapses on enjolras’ couch and as the sun rises they’re still arguing philosophy together, paper forgotten

grantaire has never met enjolras, but he has seen the gorgeouse blonde student on campus who is always campaigning for political issues, and he has sketchbook after sketchbook filled with pictures of him. feuilly jokes that whoever the blonde boy r talks about is his muse and of course he absolutely falls about laughing when he realises that said muse is none other than his friend and comrade enjolras.

e puts off being in a relationship with r forever because he’s ace but he’s scared that if he’s in a relationship he’ll end up being dumped or pressured into sex if he comes out. but r is really sensitive about it and he always checks how e is doing and talks through his boundaries and they’re the cutest couple with lots of snuggling and cute kisses.

les mis fandom au? ahaha this is very inception but bear with me. enjolras is a new fan and he’s really excited about all the ships and he’s going to write all this fic where he has a platform to explore social justice and political issues. and grantaire is a fanartist who’s witnessed a bunch of shipping wars and fandom wank and he’s just so done with it all. but courf just knows they’d be great together so one day he sends r an anon asking him to illlustrate one of e’s fics and r is bored so he takes him up on it.

enjolras and grantaire are spies from different countries both working in america and they meet undercover at the gym and they hang out and they like take kickboxing classes together because no-one else can match them. and then they start meeting outside of their classes and they watch bad action movies together and critique the fight scenes. and nobody ever finds out about the other’s mission and they just end up snuggling on a couch in their sweatpants.

the first time grantaire comes home to meet enjolras’s parents he and e’s mom end up going through old photo albums of enjolras as a baby and it’s the cutest thing

so we were talking about enjolras and grantaire and their daemons, but what if enjolras’s majestic stallion and grantaire’s scruffy cat are best friends and the cat always rides around on the stallion’s shoulder and everyone thinks it’s adroable but e and r hate each other

so I was thinking a song of achilles au, right? but it’s a reincarnation au and achilles is reincarnated as grantaire and pat is enjy! achilles is sulking in his tent because the war is pointless and he doesn’t want to die for whatever cause it is and then patroclus dies and he goes out and fights and he dies too. and then he always thinks that enjolras seems familiar to him and he’s felt a connection to him but he’s never known why. and then he wakes up at the barricade just before enjolras dies and it suddenly all comes back to him. and it’s too late to save enjolras (again) but at least this time they can die holding hands.
