Difference between Teflon Viton Rubber Products Manufacturer and Virgin Grades?
About the difference between the most common grades of PTFE, There is often some confusion often called Teflon: Reprocessed Grade, and Mechanical, or Virgin Grade.
To understand these two types from PTFE products manufacturer and their different applications, this information will help and for researching the information, therefore save you time.

Applications and Material
Both Mechanical and Virgin grades have similar chemical properties and are 100% PTFE material. Both unfilled types of PTFE are these. To improve performance for certain applications, other types are available with fillers such as glass, bronze, or carbon.
As compared to virgin grade, reprocessed PTFE with slightly lower physical properties and Mechanical PTFE is economical. It is also referred to as reclaimed or recycled. During the manufacturing process, Reprocessed material is added; it varies although usually a small percentage is used. The viton rubber products are very reliable.
As compared to the virgin, it is more economical. For most applications, this is the grade and where high purity materials are not required, this is used for less demanding uses such as noncritical mechanical, electrical, and chemical applications.

As compared to virgin grade, it has compressive strength and better wear resistance. For food contact, it is not suitable.
Virgin PTFE is more expensive, pure material, and is a higher grade. With no recycled material added, it is made. Up to 500ºF, It is chemically inert and is the best chemically resistant material available. Virgin retains flexibility and has better physical properties in low temperatures.
With high dielectric properties, it is a good electrical insulator. It is FDA approved and is used in the cosmetics, beverage and food, and pharmaceutical industries. For electrical or medical applications, it is often used.

Being important in some applications, Virgin has better friction characteristics. The rubber products from the viton rubber products manufacturer must be purchased.
It is certainly not easy to distinguish between the two grades by sight! The two grades may look identical to the naked eye. When compared side-by-side, a Virgin grade is often a purer white and should feel more slippery and smooth.
