"Mark?" Ishizu's voice echoed Mariku's, her eyebrow lifting as she gave him a look, clearly asking what exactly he meant by that.

"Ah, It's fine." Ishizu smiled again, tugging strands of hair from her face, "I don't mind you asking. It really isn't anything...I can't speak of or anything," she laughed lightly, "It's really just the same as what I've always done...I'm the go-between the Egypt museums and international ones, when they want to bring our exhibit to their gallery. I'm here now to work with them on where they'll be putting the exhibit and getting it ready before we bring the items here."
She nodded and sipped her drink. "What kind of business are you doing?" Frowning slightly, she realized the older woman may not be able to give that information out. "If you can tell me or whatever...or even want to..." Tea trailed off, suddenly feeling silly for even bringing it up.

Ishizu leaned forward, watching intently as Tea pointed on the map, showing her where she needed to go. The older woman nodded, glad to see she was at least still fairly close to her destination. Good thing Ishizu took the day to make sure she knew how to get to the location before she actually needed to get there. "I see. That doesn't seem too hard. I'm glad I'm not that far, really..." Ishizu smiled, grateful for Tea's help. She probably would have wandered around a bit before taking a taxi back to her hotel. "Hopefully I'll be able to find it no problem tomorrow..."
Tea nodded in understanding. It was so easy to get lost in a city this large. She had been living here for months and yet she still sometimes ended up nearly a block away from her apartment building. Her brows rose at the mention of a map. She would have thought someone as smart as Ishizu could find her way about with a map. Then again, hadn't she just been thinking how she was a local and found herself lost from time to time? Clearly, she had no room to judge.
The younger woman observed the map with pursed lips. She easily found their location by finding their current street name and the next block down. Tapping her finger on their street, the techie informed her friend, "We're here." Next, she dragged her finger across the map to show the quickest way to go. "We're on Rector now. You'll need to go back towards Broadway and get on Exchange. It's about a block down once you're on Broadway. Then just take the first right."

"Am I?" Ishizu hadn't realized how far off track she had gotten; to be honestly, the older woman had gotten a tad distracted by some of the city as she had never been there before. And then she thought she had taken a wrong turn and while trying to get back on track she wound up even more lost. "I'm not sure exactly where from here, although I do have a map from where I am staying..." As if to prove her point, Ishizu collected the folded up paper from her bag, opening it to slide it across the table towards the brunette. "I'm supposed to head...." She tapped a finger at one of the stars on the map, "here."
She had expected to be alone for at the least thirty minutes before anyone from work would think to seek her out. But to have an old friend walk in had been unexpected to say the least. This was a busy street, but little cafes like this were typically reserved for the struggling actors and stage hands, writers and artists. It wasn't a rule. Just how life was here. Tea had to force down another mouthful to steady herself. She had been surrounded by fickle people she barely knew for so long, she had almost forgotten what it was like to be with people that once upon a time had been a central part of her life.
Tea grinned. "It is," the younger woman agreed. The beauty of the place was that since it was primarily where artists lingered, it was quiet. Not in the sense that no one talked. There would always be the occasional murmur of voices. It was quiet in the sense that no one bothered anybody. Everyone kept to themselves. No one wanted their own creativity to be interpreted, so why would they intrude on someone else's? Though, when open mike night came around, the scenery changed. There was talking and laughing and mingling. Ideas spread like wild fire and beautiful lyrics and verses were birthed. Tea loved it.
"Oh," she was quite lost then. "You're a little far from the business district. Do you know where you're supposed to be?" Tea was merely assuming Ishizu was meant to be in that district. She herself was not too familiar with that area, but she could at least direct her to landmarks or busy buildings. Or, if her business was in this area, Tea could help her without a problem.

"Oh?" Ishizu smiled in greeting, nodding her head a little, "Hello There."

 dancer-of-black:
"Sure," Uncertain as to what to say or do next, she took hold of her trusty drink once more. That would at least keep her hands busy. Tea was still feeling a little wired up and she did not want to do something she would regret later. Bunching her brows together, she closely watched the older woman's graceful movements. So many references to her past life today...It made her chest hurt.
"It has..." She sipped her cocoa and let the warmth fill her chest and belly before speaking again. "I come here a lot, actually. Not everyday, though. What about you? This isn't exactly a place I ever thought I would see you."
Ishizu sat in the silence, perfectly fine with it. Her arrival there had been sudden, and the older woman didn't mind giving Tea a few moments to collect herself. She had no doubt her appearance had surprised the other, as finding Tea here and surprised Izhisu herself.
She nodded, smiling at Tea, as the younger woman spoke. "Do you...? It sure seems like a nice little place you have here," And she did mean it. If Ishizu had access to a place like this, she would probably visit. It was...relaxing. "And no. This is...kinda of really far from where I usually am." She laughed a little, "But I'm in the city on business. To be honest, I got a little lost, since I've never been here before."

"Thank you," A small laugh left the older woman as she took Tea's offer, and sat in the chair. She moved with a grace that had taken her years to master, slipping her hand under her legs as she sat, making sure her dress didn't bunch up under her. Once she was settled, Ishizu turned her cerulean eyes to the younger woman before her. A smile made its way onto her lips, and ever-so-slightly, she tilted her head in a nod. "It's been a while. I'm a little surprised to find you here. I knew you wanted to come here before, but still..."
Tea sipped once more on her warm drink as the bells tied to the door jiggled, announcing another customer entering. Holding the foam cup between her hands, she thought back to when she had first stumbled upon this little cafe. Not many people came here and after a few weeks, she had learned faces and a few names. A quick glance around her was enough to conclude that the regulars for this time of day were all accounted for. Frowning, Tea set her cup back down. Why did it matter to her anyway? It wasn't like these people were her friends...
Fingers brushed against her shoulder and she tensed. What if someone from work had followed her? Though, as a female's accented voice greeted her, Tea knew differently. Earlier troubles evaporated from her mind as she whipped her head back, sapphire eyes wide. "Ishizu?" She blurted. "What are you...?" New York was a long ways away from Egypt or Domino. "Do you want to sit down?" She gestured to the sit across from her.

Her usual perfect appearance slightly ruffled, Ishizu worked her way though the crowded street. Letting out a sigh of what could be annoyance, the dark haired woman pressed forward, slipping into a conveniently placed coffee shop, Ishizu thought she would sit down for a moment to gain her bearings. She had only just arrived into the city, and even though she would probably refuse to admit it, wasn't completely sure where she was. It seemed she had wandered into a part of the city she had never been. And trying to find her way back to a place she knew proved...difficult.
Gazing around the room, hoping to spot a table to sit at, her blue eyes lit up in surprise as she spotted someone she knew. Working her way through the maze of tables, Ishizu walked toward where her old acquaintance currently sat. And when she finally reached the table - which seemed harder then she had expected - Ishizu reached out and lightly touched her fingers to Tea's shoulders, letting the other girl know she was there. With a warm smile on her face, Ishizu gave a greeting, "Hello." She wasn't sure what else to say at the moment, but she figured it would be sufficiant.
Open RP
She was furious. Seething. If she were a cartoon, she imagined that steam would be billowing from her ears. Currently, she sat in a coffee shop about a block from her work. It was a quaint little place. Soothing jazz music played over hidden speakers and the lights were dimmed to create a calming atmosphere.
Normally, she would change out of her black tights into street clothes or at the very least throw her jeans on over them. But today, she barely was able to slow down enough to pull her faded blue sweater on.
As she sipped her hot chocolate, her foot twitched in a tempo faster than the music. It had been quite a long time since someone had pissed her off as badly as that little blonde twit had. Her hand tightened around her drink and the heat of it reminded her to loosen up, to not throw the cup at the window and scream every foul name she could think of.
Téa Mazaki wished she could hurt the girl as badly as Anzu had been hurt. And for once, her lighter self was not whispering to her heart. She heard no objections to not race back to the theater and give the girl a good socking.
Téa smirked as she sipped her drink. How wonderful that would be…To give into her old urges. To go back to those days where she rivaled even Yami when it came to protecting her other self. The bimbo would not even know what hit her…
