@tclerateiit || -❝ you get people desperate enough they’ll just about do anything. ❞hope & anyone
Jinu didn't argue with that, an odd part of him feeling a familiarity with desperation that strong. "That is true. It is unfortunate, that the world can create such desperate people. But I can't say I'd judge anyone doing anything out of desperation, no matter how bad. Do you intend to use this desperation against people you meet who have it?"

"That's fair.." He smiled wryly, unsure what to do with this guy's straight facedness, but as long as another blacksmith was willing to talk to him Aiden would do it. "It is a good thing for business, but for learning and improving not always. It's always nice, having someone else around to critique or work on stuff together. Or in general competition." Smiling softly at his last statement, Aiden nodded. "I'll do my best to keep that in mind."
"Can't do much work without one" even if it wasn't as interesting as his former work. Less need for weapons around here, but he wasn't going to walk away from the one thing he had loved and had been able to do. Olympus had been hard for so many reasons, but he'd always had that. "Isn't that a good thing? Too many people doing it would mean less work" and he still had to buy food somehow, even with everything else going on. "Should always believe a threat".

As soon as the words left her mouth he felt like a fool for not thinking of that before, pressing an affectionate kiss to her forehead. "That makes complete sense beloved, of course. Pretend I never asked, you should have a space to call your own." He was so used to having her around already he just wanted there never to be time they were apart, even if he'd never actually attempt to have that happen. Ori deserved so much freedom and happiness, and if he was any small part of that he was delighted. "Nerves? Ori." Gently, he cupped her face in his hands, holding her so gently as he spoke. "I could never, ever, tire of you. You are the other half of me, you give life meaning. You....Oriana there is nowhere I'd rather be than at your side, 24 hours a day, for the rest of eternity. I'll never tire of you. Do you worry you'll tire of me? I've been told I can be arrogant, and a flirt. That could be grating, my constant compliments."
Ori relished in the closeness, each kiss felt like a promise and a prayer. Each touch an intense longing. "I know, I know." Her cheeks painted with a splash of pink as she looked loving into her mates eyes. "It's just. I've never had something that was just mine. Not in a very long time, it feels a bitter sweet to let it go." It wasn't that she didn't want to live with Helion, she already practically did. But her apartment, it was hers. The first thing she ever owned not tied to anyone else. "Plus, nerves and all. If I stay, you might just realize your tired of me." She half joked.

Jacen was quiet as she explained, listening patiently. He expected the subject was uncomfortable for her in much different ways than it was for him, but he respected that discomfort. "No, I understand. It may not be good to avoid difficult topics, but I wouldn't expect you to discuss them with near strangers either. I will not pry. We can talk about something else."
"Oh no it's not that." Bailia assured the other, "Just." It wasn't exactly pain that painted her words, but frustration. Anger at that her once home was nothing but a sore subject for her. "I don't like talking about the Temple." Bai had always been closest to Ben, but she had come to know of his whole exceptional family. Even if most of it was only word of mouth. "I know, I know it's not good to avoid difficult topics but-- it just stirs something in me that I don't particularly like feeling."

Jacen was braced to deflect, hide the hurt if Ben was joking, but then he caught his eye and kept talking. It all made sense, knowing that Ben had a lot to deal with and likely still did, but it felt surreal that they were actually talking about it. Giving him a smile, Jacen reached out and gave Ben a light pat on the back. "There's no need for you to apologize Ben, trust me. I can imagine it's been...more than a lot to deal with, for awhile. I'm just glad you know I'm not going anywhere. I'm here for you, no matter what." He nodded seriously before laughing a bit at his next words, raising a hand to get the bartender's attention. "Can't say I do much but work or get in my own head about stuff, so doing activities you do is probably more interesting."
He looked surprised as Ben actually ducked trying to hide from someone, though Jacen shifted without hesitation to block Ben more from view from that direction with his body. "I won't look, but Ben! You're in love? Have you tried to tell her? With someone complicates things, but that's not an impossible obstacle. You sure you don't want me to try and wingman? Could be fun." He grinned a little wickedly, knowing it would be a terrible idea and definitely just teasing.

ben cracked a small smile towards his brother. “we should do it more often.” he tilted his head to catch his brother’s eye. “i mean it. i was an ass, going through some stuff. it was easier to push people away, but I’m not getting through anything without you guys. sorry it took me so long to see it.” he wasn’t the best at admitting these things, but he wanted his brother to know how much he appreciated him. “next time we do something you wanna do. i’m just going through some stuff and- “
she was here. she was here in the bar. it was like he summoned her, even though he wanted to be miles away from her. “and the woman i’m in love with is right behind you so please don’t make eye contact.” he begged, trying to duck his head low. “she’s with someone else…so that’s what i mean by I’m going through some stuff…”

Jason smiled as she spoke, letting her finish talking before he closed the space between them again and hugged her. They'd never really gotten the chance, her being a hunter when he'd found her again, and he didn't even remember being around when he was little, but she was his sister and the fact that now, finally, maybe they could just be siblings was a chance he wasn't going to waste. "It sounds perfect Thalia. It'll be nice, being a family."
"Damn straight i'm stuck with you." Thalia reiterated. She had been one of the few lucky ones when it came to her life. She died, or as good as died, became a tree, then came back. Her life wasn't the same when she returned, but it was as damn close to a new life as she would have gotten. It just cost her everything. "And you better get used to this beautiful face here annoying you for the rest of both of our lives."

"You're my brother? That has, lots to do with plenty actually. But I don't want to cause you any stress or worry, so I'll do what you ask to avoid that." Nico gave Hans a soft smile before stretching. "But then I'm falling asleep in your way. I can get myself home in a bit, I'll be fine. I'm actually better with my sleeping habits than I used to be, I know my limits."
"What has that got to do with it?" he asked, not really seeing the connection. Or why someone would only look after themselves because someone else asked them to. Surely you look after yourself for your own sake. "Why? If you fall asleep then you fall asleep. Fighting sleep is never a good thing".

Rhysand didn't like the silence, his purple eyes not leaving the woman. He may still be getting to know Feyre's family, but he cared for them and wanted to look after them when he could. "Dramatics can still be concerning." He leaned on the tree, his hands in his pockets as he looked up and watched. "She would if I were to walk off and you end up injured." He paused, his expression softening a little. "No, I don't believe you would. I've never known of anyone to be able to predict the future with that level of accuracy, Cauldron-blessed or no. None of us can know everything that will happen before it does."
Elain let the silence linger for a bit too far. "No, you don't need to be concerned. Just me being dramatic." She dismissed as she balanced on the tree limb above the ground. Looking down at Rhysand on the ground. "Feyre would not blame you if I broke a bone." She assured the other, though there was a lingering question. Perhaps the truth behind her more reckless actions as of late. "Besides, wouldn't I see it coming?" But she hadn't. She didn't foresee the fire. She didn't save her sisters. She simply ended up buried beneath the pain of it all both physically and mentally.

His thumb brushed the back of her hand as she spoke, his eyes soft as they watched her. "It may not have mattered to you, but it would've to the clan. I think I've been in love with you since I met you, but I never would've told you in Inazuma. You've far too much to worry about without also having to contend with your housekeeper making everything complicated. Even if we've also always been friends."
ayaka reached forward to take hold of his hand while she listened to him talk , their titles and status never mattered to her even back home. ayato and ayaka upheld their titles and duties because they didnt have anyone else to do that , although ayaka didnt always believe in the outdated practices. ‘ you have always been more than just a servant to me , even back home that never mattered to me. ‘

Aether's hug was gentle, relieved that they were back together again. He'd just gotten used to not being alone anymore, and to have her gone yet again had sent him into more than a couple blind rages. "Can't really say whether it was or wasn't. I was far too angry about being there. I believe it was called Volantis? I don't know, I just know it held no answers for me." He continued to look for injuries until she reassured him she was fine, nodding and letting himself relax a little. "Good. I know you can handle anything but with how uncertain everything is...well. I was concerned."
lumine hugged him back tightly relieved to see him alive and well , they had finally found each other only to be ripped away from each other again. although lumine wished they were home , lumine was just glad to finally have her brother back. ‘ was it nice at least? i believe the place i was in was called piltover and zaun. kind of reminded me of fontaine a little bit. ‘ lumine explained before nodding her head to assure him she was fine. ‘ im okay brother i promise. ‘

"That was my optimistic guess." Diluc closed the space between them, his serious gaze holding Kaeya's for a moment before continuing to speak. "If you're not drunk something's wrong. And I'm never not worried about you, even if I don't want to be." He and Kaeya might not be close anymore, but Diluc knew his mannerisms, possibly better than he knew himself sometimes. "Are you sick? Is it just pent up energy?" He couldn't tell what was off, but he'd keep guessing till he figured it out.
❛ are you drunk? ❜ (Diluc to Kaeya) @allthatglxtters
"Absolutely not, I can hold my booze better than you think," Kaeya said with a grin that didn't quite reach his eyes. He was in an odd mood this weekend for some reason. "Didn't think you'd be worried about me, what's up?"

"Complicated? Sounds interesting. Their loss I suppose." Viviana gave the woman an easy smile as she continued talking, her expression softening as she realized what Baila had done. "I..wait, truly? You learned of foods they make in Treviso and made one, for me?" She likely shouldn't be this easily impressed, but it would be a lie to say she wasn't. No one had ever been this thoughtful to her before, and Viv was realizing she was already won over. This woman was amazing.
"I know how to cook, I'm just not good at it." She giggled a little, playfully bumping the other as she held her arm. "But I would love to cook with you on a second date." She could already tell, they would get a long swimmingly. At least if Baila found Viv as charming as she found her. "So, tell me about yourself, I want to know anything and everything that you're comfortable speaking of of course."
Bai's cheeks remained a healthy tint of red, when she mentioned catching up on lost time. She bit the inside of her cheek. "I did have someone who complimented me, but it's----complicated." She didn't want to dread too long on her failed crush. It on a level just made her anxious and she didn't want to spoil this moment. At her excitement for the meal, Bai just nodded. "I didn't know much about your world, but I did some research and tried my best to recreate some decent caf or as you call it coffee and a main course dish Pork with Black Grape Sauce." She explained. She was surprised what you could find out about other worlds if you just asked the right questions. "You don't know how to cook?" Bai questioned in a bit of shock, "If you want I can give you some lessons, I think it's important for everyone to at least know how to cook the basics without feeling like a terror in the kitchen." Bai offered genuinely. "Could make for a fun second date?" She added a bit forward, but hoped the other wouldn't mind.

@sunshiinefades || ❛ do you always have to be so pessimistic? ❜ from tauriel

"I'm not pessimistic, I'm realistic Tauriel. There is a difference." Thranduil lifted an eyebrow at the woman, but relaxed. "In any case, I do hope I am wrong. Perhaps the dwarf will regain his memories. But he seemed fairly blank when we spoke. And, well, my hopes aren't ever high. At the very least he lives again."

@sunshiinefades || ❛ i knew there was a big softie under all that tough exterior. ❜ jean & diluc
"Only when it comes to you Jean. Only for you." Diluc tugged her closer and gave her a kiss, smiling into it before pulling apart again. "And you've always known I'm a secret softie. One of the many reasons I had to stick to myself. Can't let the entire town think I'm sweet."

@pennedfairytales || “not how i would’ve done it.” - from powder to caitlyn kiramman
Caitlyn tensed, not necessarily wanting to deal with Jinx today. Powder. She had to mentally correct herself, taking a breath to stop the irritation. Caitlyn hadn't interacted often with Vi's sister, but what she had hadn't necessarily been good. But Powder didn't remember, and Caitlyn had no reason to be anything but polite. Sighing, she looked over at the other, lifting a brow. "I wasn't exactly expecting company, but sure, I'll bite. How would you have done it?"

@pennedfairytales || ❛ i was just trying to do something nice for you. ❜ - from anna
"And while that is kind of you, it's entirely un-necessary." Elia sighed, putting her hand on her hip and studying the woman. "It's sweet, but you really should only help if someone actually asks for it. Otherwise you're in the way."
