She's like "stop being so accepting of death! we have to go home together!" sparking hope in him and he just goes "if anything happens to Mikan I'm killing everyone and myself" LITERALLY. bastard saw her get pushed down and he goes into rage mode, using his fire magic and setting off the explosives he was threatening to set off earlier in his suicidal game plan.

AND THEN, LIKE, WHAT, FIVE DAYS LATER, HE'S EXPERIENCED:

jealousy bc Mikan climbed Tsubasa like a tree to seek comfort (fr Natsume's tormenting). Well, from Tsubasa and Mikan's relationship in general.

getting the guy who can read minds to pick out Tsubasa's genie lamp so he can better release his irritation fr aforementioned jealousy, but the mind reading guy is like "ah, all I'm seeing in his mind is Mikan, he must want her genie lamp," and ending up getting her as his lackey instead

fear bc his abusive teacher threatened Mikan's life so that Natsume would continue playing nice

despair bc he had to stop getting close to Mikan else his shitty teacher would do smth awful to her otherwise

after all this he ends up saying this to her!!

one of the first things Natsume does to Mikan is steal her underwear.

he ends up being literally ride or die for her. he will die for her. he does die for her.

late to the party but i ADOREEEEEE becky and damian's friendship.

they're not talked about enough and it makes me sad.

becky being the only other female character close to damian's age who has the ability to get a rise out of him is one of the reasons why i like her so much.

and i enjoy their playful banter. it's so cute!

and ofc as a damianya enjoyer, i love love love becky's constant teasing. and the way she's usually just joking but damian takes her words seriously. it's so adorable 😭

also, we love damian accepting that he is, in fact, jealous and learning to embrace it throughout the chapter. this child has more growth than i will ever have and i respect him for that.
