Happy Solstice and International Yoga Day. I am so grateful for my practice. It is patient and forgiving and shows me how strong and resilient my body can be, even with limitations. I love the ebb and flow of our bodies with the seasons. If feels so good to be present.✨🌔☀️ (at Portland, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/BzALuTJjSsl/?igshid=6e9u6vffc2mv

it is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.

I'm trying to remember the whole self-portrait thing again. I havent posted my face in a while. So this is what weeks of healing looks like. Its days and days of meditation and journaling and breathing. It's how I feel like after singing passionately to a small open mic crowd, because I have the clarity and energy to do it again. Processing feelings of grief, anger and immense sadness, is exhausting but rewarding. Here's your weekend reminder to continue practicing self-compassion, self-forgiveness, self-love. Keep learning yourself.💖🌱🌲 (at Portland, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwOY99sF9ED/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1t80rxwf2hqw2

100% agree. Love yourself and your moments of solitude.
It’s that easy. Breathe and try for once.

Sometimes I think back on my mental illness and the physical illness that has manifested in my body over the years. There was so much pain, brain fog and confusion, which led to so much irritability and mood swings. Now, I have a better grasp on my pain levels and headaches, and I'm more level-headed through meditation and art and physical therapy/yoga. My body has been exhausted and difficult, but I am so grateful for it. I've had emergency surgery twice in two years and survived it, and I hope to only get stronger from here.

"I touch the knots beneath the skin of your back, trace the tree lines around your wrist, and you smile at me and I love you for how human you are. Underneath the moonlight, we laid and laughed like run-on sentences, kissed like ellipses, and you held me so close that I wear my bones down smooth against the grain of your skin." -Shinji Moon (at Portland, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/BsSDc9-FKmE/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=16ow0y7qqb040
