Coming live from the check-in counter!!! Working at the airport has honestly made me want to become a check-in/gate agent first as it is sooo cool the different amount of people you get to meet and help!!! You also get to see all the dogs that people bring and I love dogs so it’s and even more enjoyable moment for me!!

This was a really cool sky picture I took on my way to the airport !!! It was sooo pretty. I do wish there was an aircraft flying through it in the moment as that would have made an even better picture!!!

Found this AirTransat aircraft with a cool design on its tail!!! I took this picture to show my little sister as I know she would love it as it was made to catch kid’s attention!!!!

On todays shift I had a 0300- 0900🥺. I woke up and was super tired but as I got to the airport I was more alive lol. We had at least 5 flights going out including Panama which just opened up!!!! I had a great shift and had my RAIC appointment afterwards. I was super excited to get my RAIC and the lady that was taking care of me at the Gtaa pass office was very nice! She tried to do everything quickly but yet done correctly as she was aware the shift time I just completed and wanted me to get home to get some rest!!! I love working at the airport as everyone is really nice and caring!!

Todays shift was a really good shift. I did line control and helped a bit at the kiosks and even met a retired pilot!!! He was sooo nice and has been flying for yearsss. Caught a picture of 2 AirTransat planes near me!!

On today’s travels to the airport was a very cold one. There was also a bit of rain 😔. However, my shift went by pretty quickly. I was doing line control at the kiosks and met some really nice older couples ! A lot of people were travelling with oversize baggage and weren’t really sure where to go! Also the security at check in 5 was sending passengers to the front security but kept sending them to us instead lol. On my lunch I got some wendy’s and it tasted pretty good. The airport was a bit colder than usual (not sure if it was from outside).My shift overall was a 7/10 just because of the cold air.

Day 3 of my placement!

This day went by pretty smoothly but took a bit longer to finish compared to my other 2 shifts.We had 8 flights going out today…(4 in the day & 4 in the night). I encountered a lot of really nice passengers and we even had a few laughs. Unfortunately I also did encounter a passenger who was flying with Azores who thought 20:45 stood for 10:45 and completely missed his flight check-in by 10 minutes!! He was really nice and I hope he was able to somehow get on or get another flight soon. A couple of dnata agents also came over to talk to us and inform us on anything that we were doing wrong or that we should be doing which was very helpful!!!!

My 2nd day at placement except this is my morning shift 😩

My 1st day at placement was pretty fun as I did a night shift and was pretty much just doing like control. I got to have the cool experience of helping passengers at the kiosk. My 1st day was a bit hectic as this entire experience was new to me and I could not always assist customers as I wanted to due to me not knowing anything so I sent them to my lead!! The night check-in crew was pretty fun as they were all nice and welcoming and pushed for us to have fun while doing this!!

My 2nd shift was a morning shift as shown in the pictures. I had to be up reallyyyyy early and I honestly wasn’t as tired as I thought I would of been. The time went by faster than the night shift and once again I had fun. I worked with a different crew from my night shift and they were all so welcoming and made me feel at home. I pretty much did the same job as my 1st shift but the only difference was that I had to make sure everyone had their qr codes and forms filled out for the required destinations. All the passengers were super nice including the ones that didn’t have the forms filled out and had to do it on the spot. There was a lot of crew on the floor as everywhere I turned, I had help. I did go on a time hortons run for breakfast/lunch and sat by the windows and watched as planes took off and baggage was being put onto the aircrafts. This shift was a bit different as I had a bit of experience from my 1st shift and was able to help customers with many different things than the 1st time.

RAMP HERE WE COMEEEEEE!!

I got a cool experience to go on the ramp and explore the plane!!! Got some cool pictures and this has me more eager to start my placement. CAN’T WAIT FOR MONDAY NIGHT!!!
