The digital divide is a term used to describe the disparity between people who have access to contemporary information and communications technology (ICT) and those who do not or have limited access. The telephone, television, personal computers, and internet connectivity are all examples of this technology. As far as I can tell, the digital divide is narrowing. We can now readily interact with our friends, family, and loved ones, even if they are too far away to contact. Every year, technology advances, making modern information more accessible and accessible. The digital divide has aided in the growth of disparities across states. In comparison to the impoverished world, the developed world has considerably better access to knowledge. Because knowledge is so important in facilitating production, this disparity has generated a global economic split. As we can see, the digital divide has a significant impact on our society, particularly among the younger generations.
One region that has had a spotlight sparkled upon it all through the pandemic is advanced admittance. Because of the Coronavirus lockdown, administrations were quickly moved on the web. Many individuals without admittance to the web ended up confined and left behind. Computerized avoidance is a longstanding issue and Coronavirus has just augmented the advanced gap. Unexpectedly, the web was the main means by which to apply for benefits, look for occupations, and for those safeguarding, even get food. The lockdown influenced everybody, except those generally hindered will feel the impacts all the more profoundly. For those of us who already regularly shopped, banked, studied and worked via the Internet, it was easy to adapt to telehealth appointments with doctors and video calls with friends and family. This brings us to the point that while the current pandemic is new to many of us, the digital divide has been with us for quite some time now. On the flip side, that digital divide is an old problem means that we have some basic level of understanding and tools so as not to re-invent the wheel on how to investigate its causes, process, and potential remedies.

In this modern world where different social media are being used to disseminate news and informations, it must always bear in mind that we should verify and check first the information if it is reliable or not. Especially if we will share or post it in social media, all of us should know and learn the news literacy so that we will not be misleaded in any information that is not accurate. It is also important to know and understand the relevance of an information so that we will know if it is helpful to the people or not. Even if we are just an ordinary citizen in our society it doesn't mean that we should not pay attention to any information or news that includes the happenings in our country, because it makes us ignorant and gullible. Most of us spends our time with media, playing video games, watching television, and many more.
