     ‘--you traveled a lot, didn’t you?

           Didn’t you miss it? HOME? Having a family?’

     She ALMOST feels bad. His attitude initially hadn’t been the kindest, but      neither had hers. Teeth clenched tightly together, knowing full well that he      didn’t deserve to be in this mess. Taking a deep breath, the young woman      shrugged her shoulders.

          ‘I wasn’t really going anywhere. I’ve been traveling this far on my              own-- or, well,  { BASICALLY }  my own,      I don’t need another              companion NOW.    Besides-- you look more like you’re the one              who should be escorted. Those clothes make you stand out like              a sore thumb,’

               She’s surely done something to piss them off. Hell, Hans had barely known the woman five minutes and he was already regretting his decisions to help her, annoyance growing. With a sigh, he leaned past the edge of the building they were currently hiding behind, checking if the coast as clear —— thankfully it was. 

                    “Well, nevermind the reason, I think they’re gone.  Where were you heading now? I can escort you there.”

          A PAUSE.

    The Romanov Curse. Words she had heard in her dreams. Dreams     that didn’t make SENSE.     It was probably some sick and twisted     way of coming to terms with these strange  BEINGS  that followed     her.

        ‘That’s the problem. I’m not all that sure. Beginning to think            it’s a bit of an occupational hazard when  you’re  traveling.            I’m about as much of a fan of them as you are,’

                    “On second thought, let me think of something. You would probably just get us into even MORE trouble anyway.” God Hans, why did you have to go and inconvenience yourself by playing hero with this girl? “————Why were they chasing you in the first place?”
