the idea of Ash just... being able to hand any source of information Kukui needs but somehow just doesn't have a way to receive it, like redacted or exclusive scientific documents, is really funny to me. because like majority of the time its information on something Ash did or one of his many Pokémon. He gets sent copies both physically and electronically, so he just texts the PDF's to the professor after asking Kukui what's wrong after seeing the man's tenth sulking episode with a school day.

it's even funnier if you add the fact Kukui knows nothing of Ash's life besides the basics of what Delia told him and what he's seen so far. which it's like see a god walk amongst mortals because Ash is basically an uncensored library that doesn't care if it's being used as long as it or Ash is fed.

Funnily enough that fits perfectly in my Traveling Teacher!Au. a 180 turn from my TA!Au. this Au has Ash as a substitute and a healthier mentor to the alolan students. it's basically the TA!Au but Ash gets extensive therapy. his bluntness, anger management, and his main job with the INL are still the same as to how I write TA!Ash's. he's happy but is still very very tired.

While the ask about how Lance and Drake treat Ash in the aftermath of an event gone wrong doesn't fit into the TA!AU, is there an AU that is does fit? Would it fit in the Lance vs Drake AU?

please remind me about the ask of "the aftermath gone wrong" I have not touched this account in a hot minute and need to familiarize myself with everything again.

Some things for the poke beast! au:

They first started overprotective cause Ash was too selfless and loved too much for his own good. But as time went on, Ash's life was becoming more and more dangerous they needed to be stronger for him. But after Sinnoh or Kalos they just snapped.

They're still civil with Ash's friends and pokemon, but some like Emolga tests their patience, so play fighting becomes for rougher than usual.

They are especially critical when it comes to people having a crush on their kid.

Whenever a newbie joins, they lay it on why they're like that for Ash. At first the newbies are hesitant but over time begin to understand

Headcanon: Whenever Ash encounters a particularly nasty piece of work during his travels and that bastard starts spouting bullshit, Ash simply whips out a set of bagpipes and drowns out the vitriol with a rendition of "Postwick (i.e. Scotland) the Brave".

My only question the poke beast au is how do Ash's pokemon handle other trainers who have a crush on him, Serena and Miette for example

you know those pets who basically guard their chosen humans when they get jelouse that their paying attention to any other living thing that's not strictly them? that's how they react.

Scene (based on an actual conversation I overheard while on vacation):

Raihan: I'm going to the store. Need anything?

Ash: A will to live.

Raihan: ...

*Raihan ended up taking Ash with him to the store, mainly because to prevent his love from doing anything stupid*

Raihan would definitely go about his day with Ash slung over his shoulder in general.

A part of me finds Ash's Pokemons mostly not fully evolved, super endearing - in a smug kinda way.

I know it's not a 100%, but Ash's biggest strength is his ability to adapt and think in the spur of the moment, which breeds amazing creativity. Which is why, his choice of Mons actually don't matter in the end bcs he can always make it work somewhat - and def better than most ppl can.

So in a way, it's like whenever he chooses a Mon that puts him at a natural disadv, he kinda rigged whatever wheel of fortune the world works on, to his favor😂! (Or auto has Victiny on his side 🧐)

Like if u have an Electrivire and Ash chooses some flying type like Swellow.....weeeeell, just be careful, there's at least a 80% chance Swellow will win 🤣 (I mean remember when it tanked Pikachu's thunderbolts multiple times as a Taillow?! Idk if that's some unique ability, or just plain stubborness, but Thunder Armor somehow happened later on so...)

- or like Rowlet vs Decidueye, Rowlet wins kinda thing. But that's a true rivalry kind of battle so -

Imagine Ash seeing his opponent choose Empoleon and he automatically sent out Quilava. While everyone goes WHAT, Quilava's bouncing on his feet, all fired up to win, matching Ash's maniacal grin!

i have no doubt theres like a white board/chalk board Tracey and Oak keep somewhere because Ash's pokemon got such beef with each other about who one more battles against fully evolved pokemon and their own evolution line.

I have this headcanon that most parents in pokemon that have pokemon send a pokemon to drop there kid of at school

they also have these vests that are like a mix between a dog harness and a lifejacket for the kids the vests also have a bite tab for the pokemon that drop the kids off for school so they can grab the kid if they wonder on to the road or fall off a ralling or if the kid falls off the pokemon

the bite tab basicly lets the pokemon scruff the kid like a cat does its kitten

would lance put ash in one to get him out of trouble?
