Featuring Opal for the bad prediction au! A collab between @jigokuhana and i, i sketched, they lined and I colored! With the amount of lighting in that pic to emphasize the arrow i thought it’d be best if i showed the rough sketch and colors for Opal in case anyone wanted to do fanart or just wanted to know what she looks like without all the lighting. I had an idea of what i wanted opal to be pretty quickly, and i especially loved the idea of pearls skirt and amethysts bandanna would make a cloak just like any respecting archer should have 

Opal’s personality is actually quite similar to whats surveyed in the show, Pearl and Amethyst need to focus and balance for each other though they are much less at each others throats, pearl is a bit squeamish with fusion early on and Amethyst doesn’t like getting too close to others so fusion was never a thing for her. Together though, they can actually help calm eachother and find sort of a sense of inner peace with themselves as Opal, sure Opal doesn’t have her actual voice [for now] and it mostly comes out as a slightly distorted amethyst voice but she prefers keeping it cool and silent, just here to do a job and be of use

the kid range is from 5 to 18, young adults is 19-29, adults 30-54, and the elderly to 55+ we felt that the zoomans needed more than just one outfits their entire lives but ya know making just a bit more prob isnt that great but hey its something

anyways gems would help with things like sight or hearing to help them out and what not because Pink diamond really pushed for human comfort and accessibility 

however a zoo is still a zoo and even if its not the worst situation, its not the ideal situation if you want to live and be free to think for yourself, cant wait until we really get into rebellion talk where the humans can learn more things like fighting for themselves and leaving the zoo

For BPAU, did Steven meet connie earlier than canon? How did pink diamond give birth without any other gem, but pearl knowing?

Hm. No, not really. Only because there’s a lot more humans in the Zoo, so he just didn’t run into Connie until recently.

And Pink has that room at the Zoo, so she gave birth to Steven there. Pink mostly stayed there when it was getting close to the 9 month mark, and her dress hid her pregnancy if she had to leave before then. Since gems live so long, I doubt they’d give much notice to Pink being in her room for a few weeks.

In addition to that, Jasper would’ve still been keeping Pink under surveillance by then, but she would’ve had regularly scheduled contact times with the other Diamonds for status updates & the like. And if that wasn’t enough, Pink probably would have had a distraction planned to get Jasper (or any other guard gem) out of the room for a bit.

BAD PREDICTION AU TIME SKIP

Pearl gets one of the most amount of growth in this au, shes finally come into herself fully and now a wars coming for real this time, with allies and friends by her side, reforming roses original message about for the earth, now its for the gems and organics, for liberation and freedom [as technically theres not even an earth but a second little homeworld there]

Shes grown into a semi co-leader to second in command, Shes grown to be reliant and more independent, knowing she can just be capable and strong enough as a ‘pearl’

BAD PREDICTION AU TIME SKIP

amethyst after the 2 year time skip, keep in mind theres been regens and that they haven’t had peace. They’ve been in a budding war against the diamonds in what is essentially a civil war! 

Amethysts growth has been from an isolated and scared loner trying to survive for themselves as best as they could has come into a more secure person in themselves and learning to trust and rely on others. Shes mellowed out in terms of not feeling as much anxiety in regards to society and people, now surrounded by those she loves and trusts. She’s more like in a anarchist aunt kind of vibe now. Which they kind of are now that they’re in a war against the diamond authority
