This one reminds me of every single time we watch Steve stop what he’s doing when Danny gets a hand on Steve, is yelling at him that he can’t beat someone into a wall or a spot on the ground.

When Danny’s one single hand in a scene (on Steve’s shoulder, his shirt, his chest, his back) on Steve curtails or pauses the rage in him, and brings him back to the present, making him focus more on Danny, with that tiny touch, than anything else swirling in him. 

This is perfect.

Write fanfiction guiltlessly. Do it not only because it’s good practice, not only because you don’t feel like putting your energy into original stuff, but because you do feel like putting your energy into fandom. Write fanfics of epic proportions or tiny one-shots; write fluff or angst or cliches or tropes; publish the roughest version or keep the twelfth draft for only yourself. Do it without feeling bad. You owe no one anything; the act of creation is a gift in and of itself, and it doesn’t matter if you’re creating fanfic or original stories or whatever else you want. All that matters is you enjoy it, because why else would you do it at the end of the day?

So I’m rewatching h50 (coz I am a clown) s3 e1 where chin goes after Delano who killed his wife and like... he acts exactly the same, exactly the same as Danny during the liver transplant episode and somehow the writers didn’t know they were writing a love story?!?!? Sorry I have so many thoughts and not enough words

yes!!! exactly!!! honestly, it’s like.

you, me, most of fandom, my friends that have never seen the show, my mom, multiple other documented moms, every minor character on the show, and repeatedly steve and danny themselves: wait, are these guys married?

the writers: [sweating, frantically inventing one-dimensional heterosexual love interests to mention as an alibi and then forget about] WHY WOULD YOU ASK THAT?

Steve carrying a sleeping Danny to bed is something that definitely happens because they had been working on a case for most of the night and Danny is the first to doze off. Steve knows how tired he is and doesn’t want to wake him up because they have been working really hard for the past week. 

Closing the file, he stands up with a stretch and doesn’t even think about it when he bends to lift Danny into his arms, cradling him almost protectively to his chest before carrying him up the stairs, heading towards their bedroom for a good night’s rest.
