WEASLEY  ,  VICTOIRE  . 

“if you’re talkin’ about yourself al, you’re right.” she needn’t shy away. from it, england wore worse on him than most. perhaps it was because the last she’d seen him was in the brightened escape that had been brazil, and yet now they’d been faced with the bitter bite of winters end. “just came to check up on you, heard you made it home before i did and well –– good on you.” she pats his shoulder, taking note of his features once more. hollowed out enough to stir worry within her core. “was thinkin’ i might drag you out for a bite to eat, cuppa tea even if you’ve got the time.” there’d been no tiptoeing around his disappearance, nor his eventual return. for, in albus, victoire had seen something of herself. unable to remain put, unable to stay. “you can tell me all about your reunion with your big ol’ dad went ––” brows raising as the question stirs inside her. “or, if you’ve even managed to get that far”

                      “  gee  ,  thanks  ”  a  small  smile  cuts  through  ivory  features  .  out  of  all  the  things  that  albus  found  during  his  leave  ,  the  newfound  affinity  for  his  eldest  cousin  was  the  one  he  least  expected  .  “ i ‘ ll  take  you  up  on  that  .  a  cuppa  sounds  grand   ̶ ̶ ̶ ̶ ̶ ̶ ̶ ̶ ̶   as  for  reunions  ,  well  ,  uh  . . .  they ‘ ve  been  . . .  something .  ”

she’s not even sure when she last caught wind of her younger cousin. hell, dominique just chalk it up as another person in her life to just vanish — a fact she’s well aware of the irony. and to be fair, it’s not like she actively went out seeking where albus is this week, nor spending too long worrying about him. doesn’t mean she wasn’t about to give him hell for the time spent away from family. “ well. aren’t you? a ghost i mean. ”

                “  err  ,  ”  emerald  greens  cast  down  ,  and  his  hands  stay  in  his  pockets  .  so  it  wasn ‘ t  only  his  parents  and  siblings  that  he  had  upset  with  his  disappearing  act  .    “   ̶ ̶ ̶ ̶ ̶ ̶ ̶ ̶ ̶   no  ?  . . .  listen  ,  is  gran  around  ?  ”

                 the  crisp  february  wind  tousles  raven  locks  .  he stands ,  unsure  .  pulling  his  coat  tighter against  him  to  ward  off  the  cold  seeping  into  his  bones  .  home  ,  again  .  he  has  grown  since  he  was  last  seen  .  he ‘ s  taller  ,  and  thinner  .  his  hair  is  longer  ,  and  his  cheeks  are  hollowed  .  his  eyes  ,  they  remain  the  same  striking  shade  of  green  .  lighter  though  .  happier  .   ---  unsure  of  how  to  act  ,  and  with  his  hands  in  his  coat  pockets  he  musters  up  a  crooked  smile  .    “  you  alright  ?  ̶ ̶ ̶ ̶ ̶ ̶   you  look  like  you ‘ ve  seen  a  ghost .  ”

HEY THERE UGLIES ! it’s me, your favorite admin, river -- bringing my attempt of a take on resident middle child, albus potter !

LISTEN I TRIED WRITING AN ACTUAL BIO, WITH A FORMAT, CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER, AND GOOD WRITING BUT I FAILED. SO YOU GET SOME BULLET POINTS OK. 

NAME : ALBUS SEVERUS POTTER NICKNAMES : AL BIRTHDAY : FEBRUARY 14TH ZODIAC SIGN : AQUARIUS SEXUALITY : BISEXUAL

BORN ON VALENTINE’S DAY. 

HATES THE NAME SEVERUS. Will fight you if you use it, or any abbreviation of it. He really hates his name in general, and complained to his dad a lot about it throughout childhood. Reconciled with the name Albus in his teens.

A SPITTING IMAGE OF HIS FATHER. Messy raven hair, and the famous eyes of his paternal grandmother. If he had a knut every time someone said to him “You have your father’s eyes”, he would be swimming in them. 

AN INTROVERT IN A FAMILY OF EXTROVERTS. He has always felt a little out of place, but he loves his family. It’s just that sometimes spending time with them all gets a little too much. 

HARRY & GINNY. He loves his father, and has nothing but the utmost respect for him. But he is the saviour of the Wizarding World, and he worries that he’ll never be good enough. He’s definitely a Momma’s boy, though. 

AUNT HERMIONE. Maybe it was the fact that he more often than not has his nose buried in a book, or borrowing her old Muggle records that facilitated a strong bond between these two. 

GROWING UP IN THE PUBLIC EYE IS DIFFICULT. A picture of him as a broody child, sitting between his smiling siblings on the daily prophet is the epitome of this. As the Savior’s son, and his spitting image, people think they know exactly who he is, and there’s nothing Albus hates more than people thinking they Know him, when they don’t. That cost him a lot of possible friends at Hogwarts.

HOGWARTS. He was a hat stall, just like his father. Except the Sorting Hat was debating between Slytherin and Ravenclaw. It chose Slytherin. He did okay as a student, never got into too much trouble. His best subjects were Charms, and he inherited his paternal grandmother’s knack for Potions. ( He really does hate the name Severus, ok. )

POST - HOGWARTS. He thinks it’s odd how most eighteen year olds know what they want to do for the rest of their lives, but he figures that he should too. So he starts training as a healer in St. Mungos, and moves back in with his parents until he can afford his own place.

STILL HATES PUBLIC APPEARANCES. But he learned diplomacy during his time as a Slytherin, and how to work things in his favour from human relations. He learned how to smile and charm his way through.

ST. MUNGO’S TRAINING. It doesn’t go as planned. He’s not sure about this path, or about anything. He doesn’t know what he want or where he’s going. Everyone is really excited that he’s on a path to become a Healer, but is he? No. He starts spiraling, and he becomes incredibly depressed.

SO HE LEAVES. He doesn’t tell anyone where he’s going, or for how long. He leaves a note on the kitchen table to be found by Harry in the morning. “ Had to go. I’m okay. Will write soon. Love you. - A.P. “. He doesn’t write for 6 months. So at age nineteen, he decides to leave. And he stays gone for 3 years, and only writes home like 5 times -- and sends Lily a couple of postcards.

ALL RELATIONSHIPS SUFFER FROM THIS.  He only contacts like, two of his friends while he’s gone, and he only writes to Ginny and Harry. I feel like familial relations would suffer a lot, because no one likes to see Harry and Ginny sad, and worried sick. No one likes to see Grandma Molly worried, especially not at her age. What Albus did is completely selfish. He could’ve at least talked to them, or written more. Everyone knows that.

WITH WHATEVER LITTLE MONEY HE MUSTERS UP, He travels the world. Wizarding, and Muggle alike. He finds out that a single Galleon converts to a significant sum in muggle money. By year two, he’s mostly assimilated to the muggle world. He meets new people in every new place he visits, and never looks back. He’s finally enjoying just being Al Potter, and not Albus Potter, Harry Potter’s son. 

HIS FINAL DESTINATION IS BRAZIL. He’s nearly out of money, and he finds an indigenous Wizarding Village. He makes potions for the Village Healer in exchange for food and a bed. He stays there the longest, 5 months, learning other ways of healing, and learning “medicine”. It is also there that he runs into  VICTOIRE WEASLEY, who makes him realize that maybe it is finally time to come home. 

AND SO HE FINALLY DOES. He comes back a changed man. More sure of himself. With a new outlook on life.  However, things are probably still weird -- human relations, yanno?

HE’S GETTING HOME ONCE WE OPEN FOR INTERACTIONS. He has plans to resume his healer training.
