trans men are still marginalized they just have more power over the women in the same community(trans women, trans community) just like any marginalized group . like with people of color. a black man isnt oppressed for being a man but because he is black. he is however oppressed Less than a black woman because he is a man. in our society women are treated worse than men in every group and if you dont believe the evidence for that then idk what to do. trans women are explicitly targeted by many transphobes and anti-trans laws, etc. and that isnt transmasculine erasure, its that women are more oppressed than men in every community.

Can we please stop making false equivalencies between the gendered dynamics of cisgender Black people and transgender people? Trans poc, esp Black trans people have said to stop doing that shit over and over and over again oh my fucking god.

Chat do we not understand that transgender is a gender modality and race/ability/economic status/neurodivergency/sexual orientation are not?

All transgender people are oppressed for their gender. Because they are transgender.

It does not matter what that gender is, if you are trans it's always going to be deemed as wrong under cisnormativity. All trans people experience gender-based oppression, regardless of what their actual gender identity is. Because their gender is fucking trans? Cis men are not oppressed for being men but trans men are. Because they are transgender. That is a modifier that can make a person oppressed for being a man.

We wouldn't have this stupid ass conversation be so prevalent if trans men were actually allowed to contribute to trans/feminist theory.

it's so frustrating that intersex people are constantly playing this game where we create terms to describe our experience only to have those terms co-opted by perisex people so we create new terms and then they get co-opted by perisex people so we create new terms and so on

we can never just have a term. there are even attempts to take "intersex" from us.

That's just the thing. It's not medical malpractice. At least not legally. Intersex people are mutilated under full support of the law in most parts of the world. It isn't just rogue bigoted doctors mutilating intersex patients. It is written into the standard practices and protocols of the larger medical establishment.

Intersex medical abuse is not just systemic it is systematic.
