I think Schiele was a little silly billy for this title. He knew what he was drawing. 😏

The war against porn is also a war against queer folk, because to the fascists, our mere existence is pornographic. If they won't allow us to exist in art, they won't allow us to exist irl.
Tumblr media
Note this is an unironic political statement, because the resurgent war on porn has been and will continue to be at the front lines of the free speech battle, and it's only going to ramp up both with the techlash and the current fascist administration in the US.

The new, updated version of my Dream Library print is available here with 3 background colour options!
Which would you most want? I would personally love to read the potentially award winning book that I occasionally have vague ideas about writing..

“The daily routine of most adults is so heavy and artificial that we are closed off to much of the world. We have to do this in order to get our work done. I think one purpose of art is to get us out of those routines. When we hear music or poetry or stories, the world opens up again. We’re drawn in — or out — and the windows of our perception are cleansed, as William Blake said. The same thing can happen when we’re around young children or adults who have unlearned those habits of shutting the world out.”
— Ursula K. Le Guin

it is so funny to be hanging out in left spaces and then all of a sudden one of your mutuals is like "someone just told me kamala is right of center on the political spectrum, how can that be true???" and then ur like oh shit this is the bubble they speak of

The road to good art is littered with sketchbooks full of embarrassingly bad art. No choice about it. That's learning.
WHY YOU SHOULD WRITE HORRIBLY:
1. You’ll never write anything if you don’t

What do you think of religious queers? Judging your experience with religion it must feels really weird to see people embracing their religion knowing that many religious people hates them
I got no beef with religious queer people. In college I went through a bit of an annoying atheist phase, was real anti-religion, even considered myself a satanist at one point (satanist for me was just an even more annoying typs of atheist). But as I've gotten older, I've come to accept that spirituality is kind of an inate human thing, and for some, the purpose, community, rituals, etc. that religion brings can satisfy that desire. For me, I find spirituality in music, food, art, gardening. Would still say I'm an atheist, but just not as rude about it anymore. Haha
I do however still have extremely strong opinions about the hierarchal structure of religion, (American style christianity specifically, as it's the one I know most about) The idea that you must submit yourself to authority is what's most problematic, in my opinion. It makes you vulnerable to manipulation, internalizing harmful beliefs about yourself or others, and potentially lead you to do extremely immoral things.
I understand that there are as many versions of christianity as there are stars in the sky, so not every church is going to be like that. This is just my experience and it is this particular mindset I find to be quite dangerous. I know there are many more open-minded versions, and even those that are very loving toward queer folks. And I say, good for them. I'm glad they don't have to feel like I did in church. 😇
TL;DR: I got no beef with religious queers, but I do have BIG beef with the anti-queer religious.
