Frontier Brain Trivia
Facility Trivia:
~The idea of Lazarus' Frontier Brain being similar to the Gym Challenge came to me as I thought Lazarus would want to think outside the box.
~Yes, a lot of the members are female. That was intentional because I thought it would be funny for Lazarus to recruit a lot of girls by accident.
~Lazarus is the mock Champion of his Battle Frontier, it was decided that because he created the idea and he is the owner of the facility. The others can challenge him for his title, but they have no desire to take his title.
~There's no order to battle the mock gym leaders but most challengers are recommended to battle Midnight first since she has everyone battle using Rental Pokemon.
~The order to battle the mock Elite Four are Lydia, Holly, Gracie and Priscilla in that order.
~Each member has a specific room and battle field they and their challengers battle on that matches their personality, theme team or type.
Midnight's Trivia:
~Midnight uses rental Pokemon because of how much her father influenced her when she was younger.
~If I were to give Midnight a proper team, she would probably use Pokemon with high speed as a reference to Marley being the Speed Stat trainer.
~Midnight was given a Gothitelle as her only Pokemon because of how Gothitelle's design is based off of the Gothic Lolita style.
~Midnight will sometimes doze off at random times due to not getting a lot of sleep.
~Midnight doesn’t get a lot of sleep due to her wanting to have all of her machines in working conditions.
~When she refuses to sleep, Gothitelle will pull her away and use Heal Pulse to calm her down enough to fall asleep.
~Midnight’s Gothitelle is a little taller than a normal Gothitelle, she’s also a bit darker than a normal Gothitelle.
~When she isn't battling or training her rental Pokemon to battle, she's either tinkering with inventions or helping Lazarus' assistants with repairs in the Battle Frontier.
~Midnight’s room is based off of the Gothic Lolita style but there are computers and a machine that disputes rental Pokemon to both Midnight and her challenger, her battle field is a standard battle field.
~Midnight’s favorite color is black.
~Midnight’s favorite food is Pelmeni and her favorite drink is tea.
Hana's, Iclyn's and Priscilla's Trivia:
~Hana, Iclyn and Priscilla are based off of the trope "Beauty, Brawn and Brain". Hana is the beauty as in the games some Beauty trainer class used Grass type Pokemon. Iclyn is the brawn as her birth father stars in action movies. Priscilla is the brain as Psychic types are known for using their heads.
~The idea for them having different parents came from how with someone thought that having Sabrina combine her Psychic abilities with Erika's good nature and Brycen's natural strength, they would become strong trainers.
~Sabrina, Will, Brycen and Erika were okay with the idea and everyone agreed to train each child separately so each of them could focus on one ability.
~How Sabrina was able to get Erika pregnant is something both of them refuse to say.
~Hana and Iclyn are mock gym leaders because their parents are gym leaders.
~Priscilla is a mock Elite Four as a bit of a reference to how the Psychic type was overpowered in Generation one.
~Hana's team from weakest to strongest is Lurantis, Leafeon, Lilligant, Tsareena, Victreebel and Serperior.
~Hana’s Leafeon looks a lot different than a normal Leafeon, she has sharper and narrower eyes due to her aggressive nature, her leafs and fur are a lot darker due to being in the sunlight a lot and the leafs on her head and tail are sharper than normal Leafeons.
~Hana’s Serperior left her previous trainer because their training method didn’t sit right with her.
~Hana’s Serperior has a scar on her back from a battle when she was with her old trainer.

~When they aren’t battling, the twins either spend their time together, go out to find Ghost type Pokemon to play with or play pranks on others at night.
~The twins’ room is based on a haunted room that includes floating furniture (thanks to the wild Ghost types who use Psychic or just make the furniture float on their own), old toys that they played with as kids, will-o-wisps (again, thanks to the wild Ghost types) and their room is a bit dim, mostly to give their challengers a challenge during a battle. Alternate Next Gen (Frontier Brains): Priscilla Hachiku-Itsuki
Priscilla is the daughter of Sabrina and Will and is the oldest of the Hachiku-Itsuki. Priscilla spent a lot of time with Will and Sabrina instead of Erika or Brycen so she’s the only one out of her sisters who mastered her psychic abilities and can use them to their full potential. Priscilla is a lot like Sabrina when it comes to using her psychic abilities, being able to do all kinds of things with them from attacking others to being defensive, however she mostly uses them when she needs to instead of doing it when she wants to. Priscilla and her half sisters were known for their impressive battle skills and following the types their parents had choose to special in, their skills in battling had been heard by Lazarus who wished for them to join his Battle Frontier, Priscilla went along with what Lazarus said mostly because she was bored and her sisters were doing it. She was surprised when he said he wanted her to be one of the Elite Four, but she agreed, thinking that she could be like her father who’s also a member of the Elite Four. Priscilla is a lot like her mother in terms of personality, being rather blank and almost emotionless but she still has a soft side that comes out when she’s with the right people like her half sisters, she’s serious and always focused on what her goals are, such as developing her psychic powers but not so much as Sabrina did before, she’s also very formal when she talks to others which is a trait she got from her father and like her father she has a bit of an eccentric side but that side doesn’t come out as much when she’s in public, instead it comes out when she’s with someone she trusts. Priscilla prefers Psychic types as both of her parents use them and she feels that having Psychic type Pokemon will help her with enhancing her own Psychic abilities.
Priscilla has a Key Stone sewn onto her vest.
Her Pokemon:
Gengar- Gengar was the first Pokemon that Priscilla got much to the confusion of others who know that she’s a Psychic type specialist, they often wonder why she has a Ghost Poison type as one of her Pokemon. Gengar had went over to her and started to make faces at her and pulling other tricks in an attempt to make her laugh, when she did laugh Gengar was happy when she did and would often come to visit her when he could to get her to laugh again until she had eventually caught him. Gengar is a Pokemon who likes playing jokes on others, but he means no harm in his pranks and mostly just play them so people can laugh, Gengar is far from being serious and hates it when people are too serious so he serves as helping them loosen up by pulling funny gags on them to get them to smile or laugh at him. Gengar does get serious when he’s in a battle and that’s the only time he will get serious at any point. Gengar often sneaks into his trainer’s shadow for no other reason than to make sure she’s safe as he doesn’t like the thought of anyone trying anything on her, especially other Ghost type Pokemon and while he does know she can handle herself thanks to her psychic powers he still would be with her as he’s afraid that any Pokemon could bring her harm if he isn’t around, thus being her protector when she’s going out at night. Gengar’s battle style has him float around to make his movements unpredictable, he also will make his opponent fall asleep and use moves like Dream Eater or Nightmare. Gengar will also use Mean Look to trap his opponents and if he’s about to go down he’ll use Destiny Bond. Gengar can mega evolve but he’ll only do so when Priscilla finds an experienced trainer.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Cursed Body, changes to Shadow Tag when Mega Evolved.
Held Item is a Gengarite.
Moves are Hypnosis, Shadow Ball, Dream Eater, Nightmare, Mean Look, Phantom Force, Destiny Bond, Dazzling Gleam, Sludge Wave and Psychic.
Mr. Mime- Mr. Mime was the first Psychic type Pokemon that Priscilla had received, he was given to her as an egg by her mother’s Mr. Mime and he hatched into a Mime Jr and then evolved after learning how to use Mimic. As a Mime Jr, Mr. Mime was very outgoing and silly, often mimicking his trainer or anyone around him so he could learn different things quickly. He had quickly learned how to mimic facial expressions which would sometimes lead to him create a lot of scary or creepy faces when he was battling against someone, which gave him an opening to attack his opponent. When he evolved, Mr. Mime still kept that habit and would use it to his advantage more often than not, he also would learn to create his barriers in unique ways similar to what he witnessed his mother do during battle sometimes and managed to recreate what she was able to do. While Mr. Mime is still silly and likes to make his trainer laugh by miming, he he does get serious when he’s in a battle and he’ll always do his best during each battle he takes part in, he also gets insulted if no one is impressed by his miming or if they ignore his miming so he’ll always slap those who don’t pay attention. Mr. Mime’s battle style revolves around him using moves like Reflect and Light Screen to lower his opponents physical and special attack, he’ll also use Encore to make them stuck using one move and he’ll use his barriers in a way that create an invisible maze that only he and his trainer can see through to give their opponents a challenge.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Filter.
Moves are Reflect, Light Screen, Barrier, Psychic, Dazzling Gleam, Encore, Shadow Ball, Teeter Dance, Mystical Fire and Future Sight.
Slowking- Slowking was caught by Priscilla when he was a Slowpoke. As a Slowpoke, Slowking was very dopey and didn’t do much aside from laze around while the others were training, it wasn’t until Priscilla found a King’s Rock and gave it to Slowpoke to hold onto and one day a Shellder had bit Slowpoke’s King’s Rock which caused him to evolve into the Slowking he is now. Slowking is a very smart Pokemon and he can figure out all kinds of problems and it’s thanks to Priscilla using telepathy to talk to Slowking that Slowking can give out his ideas to other humans instead of struggle to say what he wants because no one can understand him. Slowking is also a rather easygoing Pokemon, he’s always calm in any kind of battle he’s in and he’ll rarely lose his cool while he’s in a battle. Slowking is also very loyal to Priscilla for helping him evolve into Slowking, he’s loyal to the point where he helps Priscilla improve her Psychic abilities by meditating with her and showing her skills she can use, Priscilla is always grateful for what Slowking does for her as a Pokemon and as her unofficial teacher. Slowking’s battle style has him rely on Trick Room to make him faster than his opponent, he’ll also use a variety of moves to keep his opponent guessing on what he’ll use next, as well as moves to hinder his opponent.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Own Tempo.
Moves are Trick Room, Psychic, Hydro Pump, Disable, Flamethrower, Slack Off, Razor Shell, Future Sight, Swagger and Psychic Terrain.
Jynx- Jynx was caught by Priscilla when she was exploring Seafoam Islands and found Jynx singing and dancing, while she wasn’t sure why Jynx was singing she still battled and caught Jynx, thinking that she would be a good fit for her team. Jynx is a very sweet and affectionate Pokemon, she’ll happily give anyone she likes a kiss on the cheek even if they don’t want to be kissed. Jynx also enjoys singing and dancing and she disliked the idea of battling but when Priscilla showed her that she can use her skills in dancing and singing while she’s battling, she learned to love battling and no longer disliked the idea of battling, thus she improved a lot as a Pokemon and when it came to battling. Jynx will occasionally dance for others when she isn’t training, she managed to catch the attention of Sophie’s Galarian Mr. Mime and the two of them are very close to each other and they spend a lot of time outside of battle dancing with each other. Jynx’s battle style has her use Status moves like Sweet Kiss and Sing to cause confusion or sleep, she’ll also use Rain Dance to lower the power of Fire type moves and other Status moves, she’ll also dance as a way to dodge her opponent’s attacks.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Dry Skin.
Moves are Sweet Kiss, Sing, Psychic, Blizzard, Rain Dance, Lovely Kiss, Draining Kiss, Water Pulse, Mean Look and Perish Song.
Alolan Raichu- Priscilla was given a Alolan Raichu by her parents after they went to Alola for a little trip, they heard that Alolan Raichu was part Psychic type and thought that he would be a good part of Priscilla’s team. Raichu is a very cheerful Pokemon who loves surfing on his tail or rather just surfing in general, he’s also a bit of a glutton and will always spend his free time eating any kind of berries or sweets that he can get his paws on, he’ll also get distracted by sweets when he catches any kind of smell of something sweet. Priscilla often uses this by giving him a treat before he battles to satisfy him and to get him to stop his love for sweets, it would slowly work. Raichu is also a big jokester and prankster, that side comes out a lot when he’s in a battle, often taunting his opponent when he dodges their attack and laughing when he messes with them or when he confuses them. Raichu is very mischievous and will snicker when he manages to play a prank on someone when he uses Psychic on them, he never regrets his pranks and mostly plays them in an attempt to get his trainer to laugh, as such he gets along with Priscilla’s Gengar as both of them are jokers who play pranks to make others laugh. Raichu has a bit of a rivalry with Lazarus’ Pikachu and Eevee as Pikachu serves as the Battle Frontier’s mascot and Eevee managed to beat him in a battle, he wants to beat both of them. Raichu’s battle style has him use his psychic abilities to float around so he can dodge attacks, he’ll also use moves like Agility and Double Team to make him faster and harder to hit, he’ll also use Electric Terrain to boost his Electric type moves.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Surge Surfer.
Moves are Psychic, Electric Terrain, Sweet Kiss, Thunderbolt, Surf, Double Team, Agility, Electro Ball, Rising Voltage and Focus Blast.
Hatterene- Hatterene was given to Priscilla has a Hattrem from a trainer from the Galar region, they said they were having trouble training Hattrem due to how often she would attack others and her own trainer so she was given to Priscilla who was a Psychic type specialist, thinking she would have more luck. With Priscilla’s training, Hattrem did stop attacking others who had strong emotions and soon evolved into Hatterene. As a Hattrem, Hatterene hated anyone who had any kind of strong emotion near her and would attack the person without mercy in some attempt to get the emotions to stop bothering her, after learning how to calm down thanks to Priscilla’s training she stopped that habit after evolving. She was also very friendly to anyone who remained calm around her and would allow them to pet and hold her so long as they didn’t startle her. After evolving, she calmed down and would no longer attack anyone who wasn’t calm around her, though she will attack anyone who means harm though she will hold back by just knocking them out or she’ll give them a headache with her psychic powers. Hatterene can be a little merciless in battle but she only does so if she knows her opponent can handle her. Her battle style has her use moves such as Calm Mind and Life Dew to give herself a boost, she’ll also use self sacrificing moves like Healing Wish or Misty Explosion if she knows she’s about to go down.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is magic Bounce.
Moves are Life Dew, Calm Mind, Psychic, Misty Explosion, Healing Wish, Mystical Fire, Dark Pulse, Expanding Force, Future Sight and Dazzling Gleam.

Alternate Next Gen (Frontier Brains): Gracie Shirona
Gracie is the daughter of Cynthia and Diantha, she’s also another of Ash’s cousins and Lazarus’ second cousin. Much like Holly, she was happy to join Lazarus’ plan to create a new Battle Frontier that mimicked the Pokemon league and she was happy that she was chosen to be part of the Elite Four. Gracie is a very calm and collected girl, she takes after Cynthia a lot and will often attack her opponent’s Pokemon with quick succession much like her mother would. Gracie is very kind to others and will often spend her free time with young children, showing them about Pokemon and teaching them about bonding with Pokemon. Like Cynthia, Gracie enjoys looking at Pokemon mythology when she isn’t with others and she often will talk about what she learned with the others, showing that she’s wise and well-versed in what she knows. She also admires her second mother Diantha and her battle style of using non verbal commands to give her Pokemon their orders, which she managed to copy perfectly. Gracie also has a sweet tooth like both of her mothers but like Cynthia she has trouble deciding what she wants to have the most, which leads to some snickers from her family who think that it’s both funny and adorable. Gracie also doesn’t have any long term goals, she does think about being an actress like her mother Diantha but she isn’t completely sure if she wants to completely go for being an actress so she’ll often get small roles to get her foot in the water before she fully decides she wants to be an actress, she doesn’t have an interest in being a Champion or an actual Elite Four member, she’s content with being a Frontier Brain with her second cousin and helping him with his dream. Gracie will often help Lazarus with keeping all of the Pokemon safe from any intruders, she’s also help Holly with healing all of the Pokemon teams.
Gracie has a Key Stone in a necklace similar to the one that Diantha has.
Her Pokemon:
Absol- Absol was the first Pokemon that Gracie had received when she turned ten, unlike most people, Gracie wasn’t afraid of Absol and treated him with nothing but kindness when she had received him from her mothers, Absol in turn was happy to have a trainer who didn’t dislike him from the start and have someone who didn’t think he was a bringer of doom. Absol is very loyal and protective of Gracie because she was one of the first human to not mind being near him and one of the few who knows that he isn’t a disaster bringer. Absol also has loyalty to anyone who knows that his kind can sense disasters not bring disasters and will allow himself to get close to those who understand that about him. Absol had gotten his Mega stone while on a walk with his trainer, he had sensed the Absolite in a cave and after beating the older Absol who was guarding the Absolite, he and Gracie were given the Absolite once they proved they earned it and how strong of a bond they have. While Absol does dislike fighting, he will still battle to protect his trainer and those around him as they don’t think he’s a menace, he gets really upset when people assume he’ll bring disasters when they see him nearby but he gets happy when Gracie or anyone from the facility say that Absol doesn’t bring disasters. Absol gets along with Lazarus’ Hypno as both of them have a bad reputation because of their species. Absol’s battle style has him rely on his physical attack, he’ll also use moves with high critical hit ratios which as boosted by his ability, he’ll only mega evolve if he thinks a trainer has a worthy opponent.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Super Luck, changes to Magic Bounce when Mega Evolved.
Held Item is Absolite.
Moves are Swords Dance, Night Slash, Shadow Claw, Psycho Cut, Throat Chop, Sucker Punch, Double Team, Future Sight, Brutal Swing and Foul Play.
Musharna- Musharna was given to Gracie as a Munna as she heard that Munna and Musharna were similar to Drowzee and Hypno, so she thought she would have one to kind of match her second cousin. As a Munna, Musharna would often float around and eat dreams of Pokemon and people, she would also eat nightmares that Pokemon were having since she didn’t mind eating them. After evolving into Musharna, she would be drowsy and would mostly be asleep, despite that she would still happily battle for Gracie when Gracie would call her out for a battle against another trainer. Musharna’s also a very helpful Pokemon, she will often lull a Pokemon to sleep by using Yawn and then eating their nightmares if they’re suffering from nightmares like when she was a Munna. Musharna gets along with Lazarus’ Hypno since both of them are similar to each other and often use similar battle tactics, she sees him as a brother-like figure because of those facts as well. Like Lazarus’ Hypno, she relies on moves that cause status ailments however she’ll also use moves like Rest to recover health and will use Sleep Talk and Snore so she can still fight despite being asleep, she also knows how to dodge in her sleep thanks to special training by Gracie.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Forewarn.
Moves are Yawn, Rest, Sleep Talk, Snore, Psychic Terrain, Psychic, Moonblast, Shadow Ball, Gyro Ball and Dream Eater.
Dusknoir- Gracie had caught her Dusknoir after he had saved her from getting dragged into the spirit world by a ghost girl, while she was surprised that Dusknoir was helping her she had no problem with him and decided to catch him so that he could be something like a protector for her, to which he agreed. Despite Dusknoir’s looks, he’s actually a very nice Pokemon who wouldn’t hurt anyone and would rather protect them from a more malicious Pokemon or any ghost who try to cause trouble. However due to his species’ reputation for dragging people into the spirit world, some people assume that he’s trying to do the same to them. That thought never bothered him as he knows that plenty of people mostly fear Ghost or Dark type Pokemon with how they mostly act, it wasn’t until he met Gracie and found that she wasn’t afraid of him that he decided to stay with her and keep anyone safe from harm. Dusknoir is able to tell when a malicious Pokemon or ghost is nearby and will always take care of them before they can cause anyone any harm. Dusknoir gets along with Gracie’s Absol since both of them can sense something dangerous, Absol with sensing natural disasters and Dusknoir with sensing malicious Pokemon or malicious ghosts and protecting people from both but they end up getting blamed for whatever happened, so the two have a natural understanding of what they both go through. Dusknoir is very loyal to Gracie and will always protect her and anyone close to her from anything alongside Absol. Dusknoir’s battle style has him rely on Trick Room as he’s slower than most Pokemon, he’ll also use all kinds of punching moves as well as status moves to keep his opponent from having an advantage, and if he falls in battle he’ll take his opponent down with him.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Pressure.
Moves are Shadow Punch, Trick Room, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Hex, Shadow Ball, Mean Look, Destiny Bond and Confuse Ray.
Torterra- Torterra was given to Gracie by Gardenia after a Turtwig egg had hatched, the newborn Turtwig was attached to Gracie and Gracie was happy to take the small Turtwig as her Pokemon. With a lot of hard training, Turtwig was able to evolve into Grotle and later Torterra. As a Turtwig, Torterra was very helpful and would assist Gracie with anything, he would also help Pokemon solve any problems they may have and would break up fights between two or more Pokemon. After evolving into Grotle, he kept up that habit and would keep acting as a peace keeper and caretaker when he isn’t battling, he would also allow small Pokemon to ride on his back when he wasn’t training. When he became a Torterra, he had moved on to becoming something like a teacher to other Pokemon and training with them so they could learn how to deal with Pokemon like him who rely on defense more than offense. Torterra is also very kindhearted and will let small Pokemon nest on his back, he’ll also tell any nesting Pokemon ahead of time that he’ll be battling so they don’t get in the crossfire of the battle. Torterra is very protective of Pokemon smaller than him and will always battle anyone who picks on Pokemon smaller than them, often battling them without showing mercy. Torterra gets along with Infernape and Empoleon despite how different they are in personality. Torterra’s battle style has him rely on tanking his opponent’s attacks and waiting for them to give him an opening so he can attack them back, he’ll also stall out his opponent by using healing moves to restore his health and he’ll use Stealth Rock to make his opponent take some damage before the battle starts.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Overgrow.
Held Item is a Miracle Seed.
Moves are Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Seed Bomb, Leech Seed, Earthquake, Giga Drain, Rock Polish, Heavy Slam, Frenzy Plant and Stockpile.
Infernape- Infernape was given to Gracie as a Chimchar by Flint as he thought that Gracie could raise a strong Infernape. As a Chimchar, Infernape was often picked on by his siblings because of how he was smaller than them and they all deemed him as the weakest of them, he wasn’t sure if Gracie was going to pick him because of how small he was but he was in for a surprise when she did in fact pick him to be on her team and he was happy to battle and train with her by his side. When he evolved into Monferno, he felt very proud of himself and would keep a fighting spirit after he had evolved, he felt that nothing could bring him down after his evolution. When he evolved into Infernape, he would start to train harder and eventually he would learn how to attack quickly and fiercely, as well as adding all kinds of martial arts in a normal battle or just when he’s training. Infernape is very loyal to Gracie because she believed in him when his siblings would always pick on him for being smaller than them and will always battle by her side, he even started to try and teach her how to fight using any kind of martial arts that he knows, while she isn’t as invested in it as he is, she still enjoys doing it with Infernape. Infernape gets along with Torterra and Empoleon despite how different they are in personality. Infernape’s battle style is attacking repeatedly with physical attacks and leaving little to know room for his opponent to counter attack, he’ll use special attacks to keep a distance between him and his opponent or he’ll use them if his opponent is getting too close to him.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Iron Fist.
Held Item is a Charcoal.
Moves are Close Combat, Flamethrower, Blaze Kick, Fire Punch, Focus Punch, Power-Up Punch, Blast Burn, Thunder Punch, Shadow Claw and Solar Beam.
Empoleon- Empoleon was given to Gracie when he was a Piplup, a breeding center for Piplup had noticed that he was getting restless and jealous that he wasn’t picked for being a starter for a new trainer so the one running the breeding center gave him to Gracie as she was more experienced for him, Piplup felt proud that he was given to an experienced trainer than a new trainer and would rub it in the faces of the other Piplup. As a Piplup, Empoleon was prone to getting into trouble for being too boastful and often taunting his opponent which causes him to lose a battle, he started to mellow out as he trained more and when he became a Prinplup that entire side of him was gone completely and he became more humble, but he would still have some bits of boastful moments, mostly if he happens to see another Prinplup trained by another trainer where he’ll battle them and then boast about how strong he is compared to them. When he evolved into Empoleon, he completely changed and stopped being the prideful little guy he was when he was a Piplup and a Prinplup, he became more mature and started to be more respectful toward others of his species, sometimes even being something like a mentor to any Piplup who have been chosen to be a starter. Empoleon does feel a sense of pride when he wins a battle but he no longer boasts about his wins, instead just nodding to his trainer when she compliments him for his win. Empoleon gets along with Torterra and Infernape despite their different personalities. Empoleon’s battle style has him counter physical attacks with his Steel type moves or use his Water type moves to counter special attacks, he’ll also use Mud Sport to weaken Electric type moves when he’s facing against an Electric type Pokemon.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Torrent.
Held Item is a Mystic Water.
Moves are Hydro Pump, Metal Claw, Whirlpool, Aerial Ace, Steel Wing, Mud Sport, Ice Beam, Hydro Cannon, Earthquake and Flash Cannon.

Alternate Next Gen (Frontier Brains): Holly Wataru
Holly is the daughter of Lance and Lorelei, she’s also Ash’s cousin and Lazarus’ second cousin but for simple terms she calls herself his cousin. When she heard about what Lazarus was planning, she happily offered herself to be either one of the Gym Leaders or one of the Elite Four members, to which Lazarus agreed since she had offered her help for his facility. Holly is a lot like both of her parents, though she takes more after her mother in personality, being laid back and going with the flow when she isn’t battling but when she does battle she turns as hard as ice and battles without mercy. Like her father, she cares deeply about Pokemon and sees them as her friends and she’s fiercely protect Pokemon from bad people similar to what her father does in the Pokemon G-Men despite the fact she doesn’t work for the Pokemon G-Men, she also has a gift in befriending Dragon type Pokemon with no issue most likely due to being raised near Dragon types since she was young and befriending them with ease. As she was born near Viridian Forest, she has the same abilities her father gained, being able to communicate with Pokemon and healing their wounds. Holly is a very simple girl who has no real goals aside from helping her cousin out with his facility but she does want to become stronger so she could be higher up on the Frontier’s Elite Four and she wishes to be as strong as her father and be a well known Dragon type trainer like her family. Holly often helps Lazarus with protecting his facility from anyone trying to cause mischief or try to steal the Pokemon in the facility, she also assists with healing everyone’s Pokemon to make sure they’re all ready for battle and to make sure they’re all not too injured after a hard battle. Holly mostly battles with her team of Dragon types, she often tries to use all of her Pokemon to the best of their ability. She’ll often try to take a note from her cousin by coming up with unique counters for her battles.
Holly has a Key Stone attached to a bracelet given to her by her mother.
Her Pokemon:
Dragonite- Dragonite, much like everyone on Holly’s team was trained when they were all in their first stage forms and given to her when she was little. As a Dratini, Dragonite was very shy and often wouldn’t say much to her teammates and she only trusted her trainer as she felt like she could be trained by Holly. After she evolved into Dragonair, she became more open and regal compared to others and would later become protective of her trainer. After a lot of training and a battle against Lance’s own Dragonite, she had evolved into a Dragonite herself. Dragonite fully matured since her time as a Dratini and she finds that she took after Holly in personality, being very friendly and laid back when she isn’t battling but when she’s called to battle she’ll harden herself and will battle almost without mercy. Dragonite is still very kind to others and will go out of her way to care for her teammates and any other Pokemon in the Battle Facility, almost being like a mother to the others, especially younger Pokemon who happen to be around. Dragonite will fiercely protect Holly and everyone in the Battle Frontier as she sees them as family more than friends but she will often needed to be calmed down before she could cause serious damage to anything in a fit of rage. Dragonite’s battle style has her rely on hitting her opponents hard with whatever she can and using Dragon Dance to raise her attack and speed. She’ll also use different elemental moves to make her opponents guess what her move set is.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Inner Focus.
Moves are Dragon Rush, Dragon Dance, Safeguard, Rain Dance, Thunder, Iron Tail, Dragon Claw, Hydro Pump, Hurricane and Draco Meteor.
Salamence- Salamence, like everyone on Holly’s team was trained when they were all in their first stage forms and given to her when she was little. Like most Bagon’s, Salamence dreamed of wanting to fly and would often jump off of any and all things high so he could try to fly, luckily Holly would catch him before he could fall and hurt himself. Bagon also had a temper and would always vent by bashing his head into any kind of rock he would find, he would also headbutt any person he saw if he didn’t know or trust them. When he evolved into Shelgon, he became sluggish but would still train himself so he could evolve and after a while of storing his energy and training he evolved into Salamence. Now as a Salamence, he had calmed down from the hot tempered Bagon and became mature and over joyed at the fact he can fly. However there will be times he’ll get in a fit of rage but he always calms down when he hears his trainer’s voice. When he got the Salamencite and gained the ability to Mega Evolve, he would get into such intense rages that he stopped responding to Holly and would sometimes turn on her, he would also get more brutal during his battles. It got to the point that Salamence isn’t allowed to mega evolve until he could get control over himself. Salamence’s battle style mostly has him use Fire type moves alongside his Dragon and Flying type moves, he’ll also use his wings to give him an edge when he’s battling, Holly also figured out how to make him use his anger to her advantage as such he knows how to use Thrash and Outrage.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Moxie, turns into Aerilate when mega evolved.
Held Item is Salamencite.
Moves are Dragon Claw, Outrage, Thrash, Flamethrower, Crunch, Fly, Steel Wing, Sunny Day, Fire Fang and Dragon Rush.
Flygon- Flygon, like everyone on Holly’s team was trained when they were all in their first stage forms and given to her when she was little. As a Trapinch, Flygon was very territorial and refused to let anyone get near him aside from his teammates and his trainer and he would bite down on anyone who would get close to him. When he evolved into Vibrava, he would still be territorial and still hated the fact of anyone getting close to him only instead of biting he would cause headaches by rubbing his wings together or he would just throw sand in someone’s eyes and tackle them away. After evolving into Flygon, he finally calmed down and stopped being as territorial as when he was a Trapinch and a Vibrava but he would only stop attacking people, the most he does now is just glare or growl at someone for approaching when he doesn’t want them nearby. Flygon only likes being near Holly and expresses affection to her and her alone, refusing to have anyone other than her to pet or hug him. Flygon’s battle style has him use a variety of different moves, he’ll also use Sandstorm to make himself hard to see by his opponent as well as sound based moves.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Levitate.
Moves are Sandstorm, Dragon Claw, Dragon Dance, Dig, Boomburst, Earthquake, Dragon Rush, Scorching Sands, Supersonic and Heat Wave.
Hydreigon- Hydreigon, like everyone on Holly’s team was trained when they were all in their first stage forms and given to her when she was little. As a Deino, Hydreigon was easily excitable and would happily bite any and everything he could so he could get used to his surroundings and try to see where he was. When he evolved into Zweilous, he started to gain a temper as the two heads would always bicker and fight each other and it took a lot for Holly to get the two of them to stop fighting almost all the time, as a result they would get covered in scars before Holly or Lance could get them to calm down. After a lot of training, he evolved into Hydreigon. Shortly after evolving he started to go on a rampage and Holly combined with her team managed to calm him down after battling him to tire him out and them comforting him once he was tired that he was going to be okay. Hydreigon is very easy to make angry, especially when he’s battling to the point he can get very brutal and knock out a Pokemon without any kind of issue, it’s because of that, Holly has to make sure Hydreigon isn’t too angry when he’s about to battle and has him vent his anger through attacking any and all kinds of training bags and other training equipment that Holly could get her hands on. When he isn’t being a big angry brute, Hydreigon can be very gentle and relaxed and he tries to keep himself as calm as possible when he’s having his down time. Hydreigon’s battle style has him use his two other heads alongside his main head as a kind of sneak attack or in general make the attacks harder to dodge.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Levitate.
Moves are Tri Attack, Hyper Voice, Crunch, Dark Pulse, Dragon Pulse, Flamethrower, Beat Up, Dragon Rush, Dragon Tail and Flash Cannon.
Haxorus- Haxorus, like everyone on Holly’s team was trained when they were all in their first stage forms and given to her when she was little. As an Axew, Haxorus was always trying to play more than battle, acting a lot more like a child which Holly found cute and would come up with fun ways to get Axew to train with the others and as he trained more he got more mature and stopped wanting to play all the time. When he evolved into Fraxure, he started to take a more serious approach to battling and would sharpen his tusks to make sure they don’t break off after a battle. Now as a Haxorus, he makes sure his tusks are in the best condition to battle and he can be very dangerous when he’s angry. However, he’s still a kindhearted Pokemon that will help anyone despite how he looks. He’s also protective over Holly as she made training fun for him when he was an Axew, he always battles his best for his trainer and is always proud of himself when he wins for his trainer. Haxorus’ battle style has him raise his attack and often use his opponent’s strength against them.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Rivalry.
Moves are Swords Dance, Guillotine, Giga Impact, Dual Chop, Breaking Swipe, Counter, Iron Tail, Outrage, Brutal Swing and Reversal.
Noivern- Noivern, like everyone on Holly’s team was trained when they were all in their first stage forms and given to her when she was little. Noivern had hatched from a Noibat egg and had imprinted on Holly as she was the first thing he saw, as such Holly had her work cut out for her when Noibat was acting like a very young child and would often have trouble flying. Noibat managed to mature and later get the hang of being part of a team with the others, he managed to win a lot of battles before he evolved into Noivern. As a Noibat, Noivern was very scared and timid, especially when it came to Holly’s other Pokemon, as such he would always cling to Holly when her Pokemon were around, he had gotten used to them when he got older. When he evolved into Noivern, he lost his clinging nature but he still was affectionate to Holly and still saw her as a mother figure despite the fact she wasn’t his mother. He would become a bit aggressive while he was battling and he would do his best to make his pseudo mother proud of him. Noivern’s battle style revolves around him battling in the dark where he’ll weaken his opponent as well as use sound based moves to confuse his opponent, he’ll also use his fangs to finish off his opponent.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Infiltrator.
Moves are Dragon Pulse, Supersonic, Super Fang, Boomburst, Steel Wing, Dragon Claw, Hyper Voice, Sky Attack, Dragon Rush and Echoed Voice.

Alternate Next Gen (Frontier Brains): Lydia Shehroz
Lydia is the daughter of Chairman Rose and Oleana, but she was later taken in by a couple in the Kanto region some time after Chairman Rose brought The Darkest Day to the Galar region. Lydia was told about what her parents did when she got older and wasn’t sure how to react and ended up just putting that part behind her and would try to take up some Pokemon battles however, no one wanted to battle her because her team mostly consisted of Pokemon that are beautiful and some trainers thought that she would be too easy to beat, much to her annoyance. It wasn’t until she participated in a tournament with her team that her Pokemon got recognized as being strong instead of an easy win, she was approached by Lazarus who wanted her to join his Battle Frontier. Lydia had refused at first but after being told she could prove her team is strong to challengers and it would be fun she agreed. Lydia is a very formal person but she also enjoys looking at anything she finds beautiful, even if a Pokemon may not look beautiful to others she can still find it beautiful. While she is a kind and formal person, she’s still prone to getting angry when someone insults her or her Pokemon. Like her mother, she’s very dedicated to her position as one of the Elite Four of Lazarus’ Battle Frontier and will take her training seriously, she often trains to make her Pokemon stronger so she could try to be the strongest of the Frontier’s Elite Four, she has no desire of taking Lazarus’ place as the Champion. In her free time, she often studies about different factors of Pokemon such as Mega Evolution and Z-moves, Lydia declared herself as Lazarus’ unofficial secretary so she’ll often help Lazarus’ assistants with repairs in the Battle Frontier and coming up with new cheers for Lazarus’ cheer squad. Lydia trains Pokemon that are beautiful and Pokemon that are related to flowers, beautiful Pokemon because her mother had and Pokemon related to flowers because of her father’s first name. Lydia also challenges her opponents to a double battle to give them a challenge.
Her Pokemon:
Roserade- Roserade was given to Lydia when he was a Budew. As a Budew, Roserade enjoyed just being carried by Lydia and playing with Lydia when they had the time to play. After evolving, he took to learning how to dance and would help his trainer relax by releasing a relaxing fragrance for her when she was stressed or when she was upset. He was soon given a Shiny Stone where he evolved into a Roserade. Roserade is a very formal and gentle Pokemon, especially to female Pokemon, however, he will still battle with his strength even against a female Pokemon. Roserade also gets very annoyed when he gets confused for being a girl, especially when he was a Roselia. Whenever he would get mistaken for a girl he would often hit the offender with one of his thorny vines. After evolving he got confused for a girl less and would end up being more easy going, he would also take some time to learn how to dance and would often dance with his teammates of Hana’s team in his free time. A lot of female Pokemon have a crush on him for his gentlemen like nature but he currently isn’t looking for a relationship. His battle style has him lower his opponents guard with a sweet scent and attacking them when their guard is down, he’ll also use Grassy Terrain to power up his and Vileplume’s Grass type moves.
Caught in a Luxury Ball.
Ability is Poison Point.
Moves are Grassy Terrain, Giga Drain, Sweet Scent, Petal Dance, Sludge Bomb, Energy Ball, Power Whip, Life Dew, Toxic Spikes and Venoshock.
Vileplume- Vileplume was an Oddish when Lydia had caught her. Oddish was a bit of a sickly Pokemon who needed some extra care when it came to being taken care of. She would have a hard time keeping up with training compared to her other Pokemon and would often wish she wasn’t as slow as her teammates. When she evolved into Gloom she had gotten better but she felt like she didn’t deserve to be on Lydia’s team because she wasn’t beautiful and really wanted to evolve into a Bellossom so she could at least be cute, that didn’t go as planned as she had accidentally stepped near a Leaf Stone on the ground and evolved into Vileplume. When she evolved into Vileplume she was greatly upset and wished she didn’t step near that Leaf Stone, it wasn’t until a while of training that she had gotten used to her body and when she heard that Lydia didn’t care what she evolved into, just that she was happy that she evolved and that she wasn’t sick anymore. Vileplume had cheered up after hearing that and took to battling more often. Vileplume is a sweet Pokemon that tries not to let her pollen spread around anyone who can inhale it and she gets upset when she accidentally gets someone and will apologize for what she did. As much as she hates spreading her pollen around, she will use spore and powder moves while battling as they give her an edge. Vileplume has a crush on Lydia’s Roserade because he was kind to her and gave her the confidence she needed after she became a Vileplume. Vileplume mostly relies on the sunlight to boost her speed, as well as various powder moves to get her to hinder her opponents. She’ll also use Pollen Puff to heal her allies when battling together with them.
Caught in a Luxury Ball.
Ability is Chlorophyll.
Moves are Sunny Day, Moonlight, Petal Dance, Moonblast, Stun Spore, Sleep Powder, Poison Powder, Solar Beam, Sludge Wave and Pollen Puff.
Florges (White Flower)- Florges was caught by Lydia as a Flabébé and Lydia was happy to have found a white flower Flabébé. As a Flabébé, Florges was a cheerful Pokemon that loved to look at flowers that were blooming. After evolving into Floette, she gained a love for tending to the flowers in the garden that her trainer’s adopted parents had and would always make sure the flowers were well taken care of. When she got a Shiny stone and evolved into Florges, she became more mature than her previous forms but she still cared deeply for flowers and gardens, caring for them when no one else would. Florges is also very motherly to those around her, she gets along with Vileplume and Roserade and always looks out for them when she’s battling alongside them, she also comforts Vileplume when someone mocks her appearance. Florges’ battle style had her protect her teammates as well as utilizing her Grass type moves. She’ll also raise her stats during battle and heal her teammates when she can.
Caught in a Luxury Ball.
Ability is Flower Veil.
Moves are Wish, Grassy Terrain, Flower Shield, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, Solar Beam, Psychic, Calm Mind, Light Screen and Disarming Voice.
Cinccino- Cinccino was caught by Lydia as a Minccino. As a Minccino, Cinccino was very keen on keeping clean and often refused to battle because of how she hated the idea of getting dirty. She also would use Attract to get what she wanted from male Pokemon, it wasn’t until she evolved that she managed to stop that habit and would only use Attract during a battle but she still liked to keep herself clean more than battle. It wasn’t until Lydia had promised that she would clean her after a battle that she agreed to battle more often but she would often battle first or third so she could get it over with. When she’s not worrying about her appearance, Cinccino is a kind Pokemon that likes to spend her time with her teammates or any other Pokemon she gets along with. She also takes time to clean up around her trainer’s room and anywhere else that’s dirty as she can be a bit of a neat freak. Despite her vanity, she’s a very capable battler and will try her best for her trainer. Cinccino’s battle style has her use her cuteness to her advantage such as using Attract and Charm, she’ll also make her opponents fall asleep as well as boosting her teammates with Helping Hand.
Caught in a Luxury Ball.
Ability is Skill Link.
Moves are Sing, Charm, Helping Hand, Attract, Fake Tears, Play Rough, Tail Slap, Swift, Hyper Voice and Hyper Beam.

Alternate Next Gen (Frontier Brains): Catherine Lycaste
Catherine is the daughter of Caitlin and Darach. When she was young she had always admired both her parents for their skills in battling and wished to battle in a Battle Frontier, however anytime she would get into a battle she would get so excited that she’ll completely lose herself to her psychic abilities and act very different than how she normally acts, it’s because of that she isn’t allowed to battle but she can watch others battle so long as she has a Pokemon near her to help calm her down when she gets too excited. It wasn’t until she was older and walking in the rain that she met Kyanite and took her in as she had no where to go. After bonding with Kyan, the two of them suggested going to the Battle Frontier that Lazarus was making in an attempt to join it. While Lazarus made Kyan the last gym leader, he allowed Catherine to join and have her oversee Kyan’s battles similar to what her mother would do for her father. Catherine is a very polite and gentle girl, those who see her always compare her behavior to a princess which they seem fitting as her mother was known as the Battle Castle’s princess when she was younger. As polite and gentle as she is, her behavior completely changes when she’s in battle where she’ll start laughing manically like her father and she’ll chant the word “battle” over and over while looking like she’s been possessed like her mother when she was younger and when she gets like that she’ll often have to be calmed down by her Pokemon, her parents or by Kyan. Despite not being allowed to battle due to not being able to control her battle frenzy she still enjoys being in the Battle Frontier and having the same role her mother had as it makes her feel closer to her parents.
Her Pokemon:
Chalmers the Male Indeedee- Catherine’s Indeedee have been given to her when her parents had went to the Galar region, they heard about how Indeedee act like valet’s and maids and figured that one of each would be good for calming Catherine down if she gets into one of her battle frenzies. Catherine’s male Indeedee, Chalmers keeps watch over her and will often guide and serve her when she needs something and thanks to his ability to sense her emotions he’s able to know what she wants before she can even say what she wants, it also helps that he’s part Psychic type and that Catherine can produce her thoughts to him. Chalmers often knows how to act on his own, especially when it comes to battling to protect Catherine, he always gives it his best during every battle he has when he can and he takes time to train with Kyan’s team as she is the strongest of the Frontier Brain gym leaders and because she’s the one who has the closest relationship with his trainer. Chalmers knows when Catherine is about to go in her battle frenzy, which he normally does by using Aromatherapy while Molly uses Heal Pulse to calm down Catherine, or by getting her some tea and treats when she starts to get excited. Chalmers is the one who does the most when it comes to battling but he prefers to battle alongside Molly as she’s his support and his mate.
Caught in a Love Ball.
Ability is Synchronize.
Moves are Calm Mind, Round, Psychic, Aromatherapy, Tri Attack, Metronome, Future Sight, Dazzling Gleam, Mystical Fire and Expanding Force
Molly the Female Indeedee- Catherine’s Indeedee have been given to her when her parents had went to the Galar region, they heard about how Indeedee act like valet’s and maids and figured that one of each would be good for calming Catherine down if she gets into one of her battle frenzies. Catherine’s female Indeedee, Molly is always by Catherine’s side acting as her personal maid while Chalmers is off preparing for Catherine’s needs. Molly enjoys being near Catherine because of how much gratitude she can give to both Chalmers and Molly herself, she also likes being in Catherine’s presence despite how much her battle frenzy makes her nervous. Molly calms Catherine down by using Heal Pulse to create a soothing feeling over Catherine which combined with Chalmers’ Aromatherapy really helps calm down their trainer before she gets into her frenzy. Molly doesn’t fight as much as Chalmers does but she battles alongside him and acts as a support for him by either drawing moves to her or boosting his power, she doesn’t mind doing it as she loves him dearly.
Caught in a Love Ball.
Ability is Psychic Surge.

Alternate Next Gen (Frontier Brains): Kyanite “Kyan” Buson
Kyanite, or Kyan as she likes to be called is the daughter of Attila and Hun however she never actually met either of her parents due to being put in an orphanage as soon as she was born. Kyan hated the orphanage and would often cause trouble for others, it wasn’t long until she eventually ran away and started living on the street and being a bit of a delinquent. It wasn’t until she had met Catherine one rainy day and she reluctantly went with her. It took a while but she had a change of heart and became close to Catherine. The two of them were suggested to be Frontier Brains and were guided to Lazarus who was looking for one last Gym leader like Frontier Brain, Kyan accepted the role. Before meeting Catherine, Kyan was a rough and tough girl that would cause trouble mostly to get some kind of attention on her, not caring if it was bad attention like a scolding or some kind of punishment. After she met Catherine, she mellowed out and became a lot more behaved and formal however, her delinquent side still comes out while she’s battling. Kyan is also a tomboy who hates anything and everything girly, she doesn’t dislike anyone who happens to like girly things but she herself refuses to be seen in anything girly like a dress or a skirt. She acts as Catherine’s butler and often pretends to be a boy to avoid people saying she can’t be a butler because she’s a girl and how it would make more sense for her to be a maid. Kyan’s role in the Battle Frontier is similar to Darach’s role of battling for Caitlin’s amusement, as such Kyan will battle for Catherine while she watches her battle. Kyan can be a bit boastful at times, often taunting her opponent when she gets really into a battle but after a battle she’ll go back to her formal, calm and composed self. Kyan trains Steel types as she likes Steel type Pokemon, she tries to come up with different ways to use their high defenses.
Kyan has a Key Stone fitted into a pin that goes on her sweater vest that was given to her by Catherine’s parents.
Her Pokemon:
Shiny Steelix- Kyan’s shiny Steelix was an Onix when she had found him after she ran away from the orphanage, Onix had tagged along on their adventures together and became a close friend to Kyan. It wasn’t until she had met Anastasia and was given a Heavy ball that she caught Onix and he became her starter Pokemon. Steelix is a very loyal Pokemon to Kyan and will always protect Kyan and Catherine in anyway that he can. When he evolved he was given a Steelixite by Darach alongside the Key Stone that Kyan received and the two of them would practice and try to perfect Mega Evolution, they both managed to perfect Mega Evolution after a while of training alongside someone else with a Mega Steelix. Steelix doesn’t Mega Evolve unless Kyan knows his opponent’s Pokemon is strong enough to handle a Mega evolved Pokemon. Steelix’s battle style revolves around sandstorms and using his high defense to take hits.
Caught in a Heavy ball.
Ability is Sturdy, changes to Sand Force when Mega Evolved.
Held Item is Steelixite.
Moves are Sandstorm, Iron Tail, Dig, Ice Fang, Thunder Fang, Psychic Fangs, Iron Head, Gyro Ball, High Horsepower and Stone Edge.
Corviknight- Corviknight was given to Kyan by Caitlin as she figured that Corviknight would be a good fit for Kyan’s team. Corviknight was very intelligent when he was first given to Kyan, however, he felt that he didn’t fit well with Kyan and would often refuse to listen to her orders when they were training together, much to Kyan’s annoyance and they would often have a lot of arguments because of how often they would refuse to work together. Darach had suggested that they enter some tournaments to try and bond, having no other idea, Kyan agreed and signed up for multiple tournaments and would always battle with Corviknight, for the first few tournaments they weren’t able to make it far due to how they weren’t working together or they would win but mostly because Corviknight would do his own thing instead of listen to Kyan. It wasn’t until their fifth tournament that they managed to work together and win the whole thing. After that tournament, Corviknight became more mellow and started to listen to Kyan, while not as loyal as Steelix, he still will come to his trainer’s aid when Kyan needs him. Corviknight is also close to Catherine, often nuzzling against her when she and his trainer are near each other. Corviknight’s battle style mostly has him raising his stats and lowering his opponent’s stats either because of his ability or doing it himself.
Caught in a Heavy Ball.
Ability is Mirror Armor.
Moves are Steel Wing, Iron Defense, Metal Sound, Hone Claws, Power Trip, Drill Peck, Scary Face, Sky Attack, Iron Head and Brave Bird.
Bisharp- Bisharp was given to Kyan by Lazarus’ cousin, she said that Bisharp was causing some issues at the lab and figured that he would be a good fit for Kyan’s team. Kyan had no problem with keeping Bisharp as she thought about how much she wanted to catch one for her team. Bisharp is a very violent and battle loving Pokemon, he always has battling on his mind and will stop at nothing to be the strongest of his kind. Kyan was able to get him to calm down with all kinds of training and he was able to mellow out after all of the training he’s been put through. Bisharp still enjoys battling and will always attack to his full strength. Bisharp wasn’t aware that his trainer was a girl until he was told by Kyan’s Steelix, Bisharp then became respectable toward Kyan and very protective. Bisharp can be a bit brutal in battle but he always manages to stop himself before he causes a serious injury to his opponent. Bisharp’s battle style has him rely on his physical moves as well as playing something similar to a game of a hunt with his opponent by making them unable to leave or making them slower.
Caught in a Heavy Ball.
Ability is Defiant.
Moves are Mean Look, Guillotine, Swords Dance, Night Slash, Iron Head, Psycho Cut, Scary Face, Lash Out, Hone Claws and Metal Burst.
Excadrill- Excadrill was given to Kyan by Jewel after she saw that Kyan was able to mellow out her Bisharp, so she gave Kyan and Excadrill that refused to come out from his drilling position. Excadrill was a Pokemon that liked to be by himself and be alone in his thoughts, he wasn’t thrilled to be caught by a trainer and didn’t want to battle. It wasn’t until he had seen a few battles and seeing his teammates train that he decided he would give battling a try. It took a while but he was able to fully come out of his shell and battle alongside his trainer and teammates, he also enjoyed being able to use his skills in drilling during battle. He fully trusts Kyan since a lot of her orders have helped him get out of a lot of jams when he was training with the other Frontier Brains and their teams, Excadrill is very proud of all the times he won against another trainer and will often puff up with pride at how well he did after beating his opponent. Excadrill’s battle style mostly has him using his claws and taking advantage of Sandstorms thanks to his ability.
Caught in a Heavy Ball.
Ability is Sand Force.
Moves are Horn Drill, Rock Slide, Drill Run, Dig, Smart Strike, Aerial Ace, Iron Head, Metal Claw, Slash and Hone Claws.
Aegislash- Aegislash was caught by Kyan when he was a Honedge and she was glad to add a cool looking Pokemon too her team. As a Honedge, Aegislash would make a lot of attempts to drain Kyan’s life force but his attempts would fail and he would end up getting attacked by Catherine’s Indeedees or by Catherine herself, after he evolved into Doublade he stopped trying to drain his trainer’s life force and became more compliant to his trainer, when he was given a Dusk Stone and evolved into Aegislash he became a very loyal Pokemon and stopped trying to kill his trainer when she wasn’t looking. He can be very protective, to the point where he’ll manipulate any hecklers to do what he says until Kyan tells him to let them go, Aegislash will also allow Kyan to take hold of him as if he were a real sword and shield if they’re in a situation that requires them to have to resort to that. Aegislash enjoys battling alongside his trainer, he also is one of Kyan’s stronger Pokemon. His battle style involves him boosting his defense and attack while he’s in his Shield form and then trying to take out his opponent in one hit when he changes to his Blade form.
Caught in a Heavy Ball.
Ability is Stance Change.
Moves are King’s Shield, Night Slash, Swords Dance, Sacred Sword, Shadow Claw, Flash Cannon, Destiny Bond, Solar Blade, Shadow Ball and Iron Head.
Escavalier- Escavalier originally belonged to Melantha when he was a Karrablast. Kyan had traded her Shelmet for Melantha’s Karrablast which made the two of them evolve under the ownership of their new trainers. Escavalier became very close to Kyan as she was similar in personality to him than Melantha was. Escavalier is a Pokemon that attacks and defends himself and anyone he’s close to with his lances, he’s also prone to be very violent when he’s in a battle for a long time and can even be brutal at times but thankfully his brutal nature doesn’t come up as often as one expects and he’s gotten better at controlling himself when he gets too into his battles. When he isn’t battling, he’s training or just relaxing with Melantha’s team as they used to be his teammates. Escavalier is loyal to Kyan and will always listen to her orders in and out of battle. He has a huge rivalry with Melantha’s Accelgor, the two always glare at each other and try to fight each other if they happen to be in the same area. Escavalier often relies on his lances to attack and defend himself, he’ll also use Rain Dance to weak Fire type moves and power his Razor Shell.
Caught in a Net Ball.
Ability is Swarm.
Moves are Rain Dance, Fell Stinger, Metal Burst, X-Scissor, Giga Impact, Razor Shell, Megahorn, Iron Head, Counter and Smart Strike.

Alternate Next Gen (Frontier Brains): Melantha Bromley
Melantha is the daughter of Guzma and Plumeria. As Melantha was raised in Po town she didn’t have much to see from the world aside from the small town she was raised in, she had sneaked out to see Alola one day and was amazed at what she saw outside of Po town. She then told her parents she wanted to travel to Kanto to see what else could she see outside of Po town, Guzma and Plumeria let her go after a lot of persuading from Melantha. When she got to Kanto she quickly made a name for herself as a strong Bug type trainer which amazed those who battled her. She had challenged Lazarus to a battle which she lost after a hard battle, Lazarus was impressed for her skills in using Bug types and offered her a place in his Battle Frontier, Melantha had refused at first but after some persuasion from Lazarus she agreed to join him and became a Gym leader like Frontier Brain. Due to her background being in Team Skull from birth, she was pretty much raised to be something like a delinquent or a punk and she refuses to see herself as any other way, she does have low self esteem due to how she got bullied as a child for being born in Team Skull and how she liked Bug type Pokemon. She let herself get tougher, to the point where she would get into fights with other kids who would bother her for her choice of Pokemon to train and her lifestyle. Melantha has a temper much like her father but she’s also determined like him, she also tried to copy his brutal battle style but after seeing that it wasn’t for her Melantha ended up having her Pokemon find their own battle styles and she helped them get used to it. Melantha tries to be like a big sister to others like how her mother is known as “big sis” by the grunts but as she’s younger than the grunts and the other Frontier Brains she’s mostly referred to as “little sis” to her annoyance. Like her mom, Melantha is tactical and knows how to prepare for everything and anything that could happen during a battle, she’s also calculating like her father and knows a lot of weak spots a Pokemon can have during a battle. Melantha looks up to both of her parents and often tries to copy what they do and what they say as an attempt to forget her homesickness.
Melantha has a black Z-Ring and has Buginium Z and Poisonium Z, both were given to her by Guzma and Plumeria respectively.
Her Pokemon:
Scolipede- Scolipede was Melantha’s starter Pokemon back when he was a Venipede. As a Venipede, Scolipede was a lazy Pokemon that would just lay around when he wasn’t training with Melantha but he was still only close to Melantha and would tackle anyone who would try to approach him and he would grin when he managed to poison them with his ability. After he evolved he would spend his time storing energy so he could evolve again and when he finally evolved into Scolipede he became very aggressive. While he does enjoy a good battle every now and again, he still enjoys laying with Melantha if they don’t have to battle and will often attack anyone who makes his trainer upset or causes any kind of harm to his trainer. Scolipede wants to be affectionate to Melantha but he can’t due to his ability but he’s content with being near her or her petting part of his body that won’t make her poisoned. Scolipede is very loyal to Melantha and will only follow her orders, he’s also her strongest Pokemon. Scolipede’s battle style has him rely on poisoning his opponents with Toxic Spikes or Poison Point and he’ll use moves like Hex or Venoshock which double in power if his opponent is Poisoned. He’ll also raise his speed and then pass those speed boosts to his teammate with Baton Pass.
Caught in a Net Ball.
Ability is Poison Point.
Moves are Megahorn, Poison Jab, Earthquake, Cross Poison, X-Scissor, Toxic Spikes, Hex, Venoshock, Agility and Baton Pass
Ribombee- Ribombee was caught by Melantha while she was exploring a forest, Ribombee had gotten attached to Melantha but Melantha refused to catch Ribombee simply because she was cute and Melantha refuses to go be seen as a stereotypical girl who only likes cute Pokemon. However with how persistent Ribombee was to prove to Melantha that she wasn’t just a cute Pokemon she would try to battle Melantha’s Scolipede when he was a Whirlipede and she would be disappointed in herself when she would lose and it wasn’t until the tenth time she challenged Melantha that she was finally caught by her ideal trainer who was impressed by her perseverance and determination. Ribombee is a determined Pokemon who refuses to back down from a challenge just because she’s cute and small, it’s the reason why she tried so hard to be caught by Melantha so that she could show others just how tough she could be with Melantha by her side. Ribombee loves to battle and will always do what she can to win, mostly by using means such as boosting her stats or by disabling her opponents any way she can such as using Reflect, Light Screen and Safeguard.
Caught in a Net Ball.
Ability is Shield Dust.
Moves are Moonblast, Quiver Dance, Silver Wind, Sticky Web, Pollen Puff, Psychic, Draining Kiss, Light Screen, Reflect and Safeguard.
Accelgor- Accelgor originally belonged to Kyanite when he was a Shelmet. Melantha had traded her Karrablast for Kyanite’s Shelmet which made the two of them evolve under the ownership of their new trainers. Accelgor became very close to Melantha as she was similar to him in personality than Kyanite was. Accelgor is a determined Pokemon that likes up front attacks more than being defensive, he also relies on his speed during battle but he’s also a bit risk taker and will always give it his all or he feels like he did nothing during the battle. Accelgor is very loyal to Melantha, he also trusts her judgement and will always follow what she says even if he may not get what she means or wants him to do. He has a huge rivalry with Kyanite’s Escavalier, the two always glare at each other and try to fight each other if they happen to be in the same area. Accelgor’s main battle style involves him using various ninja techniques to give him an edge during battle.
Caught in a Net Ball.
Ability is Hydration.
Moves are Water Shuriken, Double Team, U-turn, Giga Drain, Toxic, Final Gambit, Rain Dance, Double-Edge, Bug Buzz and Struggle Bug.
Araquanid- Araquanid was caught by Melantha after she had battled him with her team, Araquanid had accepted defeat and let himself be caught. Araquanid had recently evolved when he was caught by Melantha and he wasn’t sure if he would fit well in the wild like when he was a Dewpider and wanted to be caught by a trainer, however most trainers refused to be his Pokemon out of fear of him which made him feel bad that he couldn’t have a trainer and wish that he was a Dewpider again, that all changed when he was caught by Melantha and became her Pokemon. Araquanid acts a bit like a child at times, mostly when it comes to being around Melantha and he mostly just wants to be praised or be hugged by Melantha when he does a good job at battling. Araquanid doesn’t like battling small Pokemon as he’s afraid he’ll suck them into his head and accidentally cause them to drown so Melantha only has him battle against bigger Pokemon so he doesn’t have to worry. Araquanid is a very caring Pokemon despite his looks and he’s often seen nuzzling against Melantha when the two of them are alone. Melantha also allows Araquanid to keep any precious belongings she has in his bubble which is how much she trusts him. Araquanid mostly relies on his high special defense to get him through battles and he’ll use health stealing moves to help him recover health.
Caught in a Net Ball.
Ability is Water Bubble.
Moves are Lunge, Liquidation, Mirror Coat, Aqua Ring, Crunch, Leech Life, Giga Drain, Waterfall, Blizzard and X-Scissor.
Vikavolt- Melantha caught her Vikavolt when he was a Charjabug, she had trained him a lot until she had gotten hold of a Thunder stone which had gotten him to evolve. Vikavolt is a jolly Pokemon that enjoys being with his trainer and his teammates, he also loves to perform aerial maneuvers during his battles to make up for his low speed and so he can be harder to hit during each battle he takes part in. Vikavolt always trains himself as hard as he can to be one of the strongest of Melantha’s Pokemon so he can help her with her dream of being the best Bug type trainer, he supports her dream and will always make sure to push himself as hard as he can to win any battle against whoever he may have to face. Vikavolt has a weakness for tree sap and will often eat it as a treat after his battles or after training. Vikavolt’s battle style has him fly around as much as he can to make himself as unpredictable as possible, he’ll also use Double Team to make himself harder to hit and use Agility to raise his speed.
Caught in a Net Ball.
Ability is Levitate.
Moves are Thunderbolt, X-Scissor, Dig, Zap Cannon, Guillotine, Agility, Double Team, Electroweb, Bug Buzz and Charge Beam.
Frosmoth- Frosmoth was caught by Melantha after she was released by her former trainer as a Snom, Melantha felt bad for her and decided to catch her to prove to her former trainer that she wasn’t a weak bug type. Snom had managed to evolve after she bonded with Melantha and while she was training at night. Frosmoth can be very distrustful of other trainers due to being abandoned by her previous trainer and she only lets herself get close to Melantha and anyone Melantha is close to. Frosmoth can be a bit sassy and picky when it comes to a lot of factors but Melantha loves her no matter what since it was the first foreign Pokemon she ever caught and because she feels Frosmoth is special in her own way. Frosmoth is affectionate as well, but only to Melantha and she feels that Melantha is the only person who can train and care for her as Melantha is the only one who understands how Bug type Pokemon work. Frosmoth highly respects the other Pokemon on Melantha’s team and will gladly work together with them. Frosmoth does her best to weaken her opponents and boost her teammates and herself for as long as she can.
Caught in a Luxury Ball.
Ability is Ice Scales.
Moves are Icy Wind, Hail, Bug Buzz, Stun Spore, Aurora Veil, Tailwind, Quiver Dance, Blizzard, Mirror Coat and Dazzling Gleam.

Alternate Next Gen (Frontier Brains): Iclyn Hachiku-Itsuki
Iclyn is the daughter of Brycen and Sabrina and is the middle child of the Hachiku-Itsuki sisters. Iclyn spent a lot of time with her father Brycen than with Erika, Sabrina or Will so she’s a lot closer to her father, as such she trains a lot like him by spending her time training in cold areas and making her body as physically fit as her father’s. For a time, Iclyn had enjoyed acting alongside her father but after some time she decided she liked battling more than acting and decided to train herself to be a good gym leader. Like her sisters, she inherited Sabrina’s psychic powers but like Hana, she uses her psychic powers for a different purpose, mostly to help those who need help such as helping people carry heavy objects, teleporting someone to safety and just overall using them to catch bad guys. Iclyn and her half sisters were known for their impressive battle skills and following the types their parents had choose to special in, their skills in battling had been heard by Lazarus who wished for them to join his Battle Frontier, Iclyn was unsure if she wanted to join but after hearing Lazarus out and thinking that this would be a good chance to show the results of her training she agreed. Iclyn is a very hardworking girl who likes to train herself, she’s also very strong and is able to lift things a lot heavier than most girls her age. Iclyn also has ninja like agility that she got from her father’s training regime and is able to quickly dodge and run almost the same speed as him. Iclyn is a girl a few words and won’t say much to someone unless they ask for her full opinion so which she will say more than a few words. She’s very respectful to those older than her and will speak formally to those around her. Iclyn trains Ice type Pokemon but she prefers Ice types that are fast or have abilities that boost their evasion or speed, which is the main theme of her Frontier challenge.
Her Pokemon:
Beartic- Beartic is Iclyn’s starter Pokemon. She had gotten separated from her father after their training session, she was found by a wild Beartic who let her into his cave so she could stay safe from a blizzard. After the blizzard cleared up and Brycen found Iclyn, Beartic had wanted to go with Iclyn so she caught him and allowed him to join her team. While Beartic looks very intimidating due to him being a bit taller than normal, he’s very caring and gentle and he gets upset when someone fears him when they first meet him because of his looks. Before meeting Iclyn, he would help stranded travelers lost in the snow but since no one else would come by during the time he felt like he was no longer needed and gladly joined Iclyn as he saw that she was an Ice type trainer. Beartic is protective over Iclyn, seeing her as if she were his child rather than as his trainer and will do anything to keep her safe. He also assists with her training and trains alongside Brycen’s Beartic. Beartic’s battle style has him rely on rain instead of hail like his teammates due to Beartic’s ability being Swift Swim instead of Snow Cloak or Slush Rush, it also helps him handle Fire types as rain weakens Fire type moves and strengthens Water type moves.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Swift Swim.
Moves are Rain Dance, Icicle Crash, Sheer Cold, Ice Punch, Liquidation, Ice Fang, Bulk Up, Focus Punch, Frost Breath and Avalanche.
Weavile- Weavile was the first Pokemon Iclyn caught and has by her side when he was a Sneasel. As a Sneasel, Weavile was a lot shyer than other Sneasels, as well as being smaller than normal which lead to a lot of bullying by his former pack before he was caught by Iclyn. Sneasel had gotten more confidence in himself after training with Iclyn and quickly learning how much fun it is to be with a trainer. After evolving, he gained more confidence and became more mischievous but he was still loyal to Iclyn and will listen to her commands with no hesitation. Weavile only trusts Iclyn with anything and everything and will refuse to take orders from anyone aside from her. Weavile’s battle style has him rely on his speed and his claws and thanks to the ice battle field Iclyn has in her room he’s able to skate around and move around faster than normal. Weavile is mostly seen out of his Pokeball.
Caught in a Fast Ball.
Ability is Pressure.
Moves are Beat Up, Agility, Hone Claws, Night Slash, Ice Punch, Avalanche, Foul Play, Icicle Crash, Break Break and Psycho Cut.
Dewgong- Dewgong was caught by Iclyn while she was training one day, she ended up catching Dewgong when she was a Seel. As a Seel, Dewgong was a cheerful and jolly Pokemon that would happily clap her flippers when ever she could, such as when she won a battle or when she was just happy. She soon grew out of that habit after evolving. When she evolved, she became more easy going and serious but she still had her jolly side that came out when she was alone or with other Seel. Dewgong is very fast thanks to Iclyn taking time to do special training with Dewgong in their free time, making Dewgong faster than a normal Dewgong. Dewgong takes her battles seriously and will always make sure to take advantage of the pools of water on the battle field for any means. Her battle style involves her using her speed and the multiple pools of water on the battle field to move around as she swims, as well as using Hail and other healing moves to help heal herself up in case there is a tough battle.
Caught in a Net Ball.
Ability is Ice Body.
Moves are Sheer Cold, Signal Beam, Aqua Ring, Hail, Rain Dance, Surf, Frost Breath, Drill Run, Waterfall and Blizzard.
Glaceon- Glaceon was caught by Iclyn when she was an Eevee. As an Eevee, she was pretty distant from others but she also tried her best to fit in with Iclyn’s team as she wasn’t up to adaptable to the cold just yet, so as an Eevee she trained herself to be more cold resistant like her trainer. After she felt like she adapted to the cold she accepted the Ice Stone that Iclyn had given her when she was first caught. Now as a Glaceon she had calmed down from her cold and distant behavior, while she still is a bit distant she has warmed up to her trainer and her teammates. Glaceon is also very serious and takes a lot of her training seriously, she focuses on building up her speed as she isn’t as fast as her teammates. She also works hard to mimic her trainer’s ninja like agility and using her ability to make herself almost invisible to her opponents during battle.
Caught in a Pokeball.
Ability is Snow Cloak.
Moves are Hail, Aurora Veil, Double Team, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Mirror Coat, Frost Breath, Wish, Ice Fang and Swift.
Alolan Ninetales- Iclyn was given her Alolan Ninetales as a Vulpix alongside her Alolan Sandslash as a Sandshrew. As a Vulpix, Ninetales was quick to adapt to her trainer’s training style and managed to make herself faster than a normal Vulpix. Ninetales was also very playful when she was a Vulpix, she would end up getting more serious as she spent more time training with Iclyn and her other Pokemon, after evolving she became more regal and became very gentle towards others. Ninetales is also protective of her trainer and teammates, becoming very upset if any of them are injured and will fly into a fit of anger when she hears if they got knocked out in battle. Ninetales doesn’t care much on her looks but she does enjoy being groomed by her trainer after a battle, she finds it relaxing and only trusts Iclyn to groom her and if anyone else tries she’ll freeze them without a second thought. Ninetales often uses her ability to create ice crystals to defend herself from various attacks, as well as using Hail to make her ability activate and make her hard to see by her opponents. She also takes advantage of Psychic type moves.
Caught in a Luxury Ball.
Ability is Snow Cloak.
Moves are Hail, Aurora Beam, Extrasensory, Sheer Cold, Moonblast, Agility, Psyshock, Dazzling Gleam, Ice Beam and Aqua Tail.
Alolan Sandslash- Iclyn was given her Alolan Sandslash as a Sandshrew alongside her Alolan Ninetales as a Vulpix. As a Sandshrew, Sandslash was intimidated by his trainer and almost didn’t want to train by her side due to his fear of her but after seeing how she could be friendly when he got to know her better he started to get used to her and was glad he got to know her better. Sandshrew was still very timid around others and would refuse to let anyone else near him, especially Iclyn’s Weavile as Weavile are his natural predators. After evolving, he became braver and more confident in himself to the point he is no longer afraid of strangers or other Pokemon. He takes pride in his claws and will always sharpen them when he has the time to. He also takes pride in his speed, especially when he’s on ice so he’s always happy to battle on the ice battle field that Iclyn had put up when she joined the battle frontier Lazarus planned. Sandslash also has a small love of ice skating because of how fast he can move while he does it. Sandslash’s battle style is mostly using Hail to activate his Slush Rush ability to make him faster and attacking before his opponent can know he’s even going to attack.
Caught in a Pokeball.
Ability is Slush Rush.
Moves are Icicle Spear, Hail, Metal Burst, Iron Tail, Swords Dance, Ice Punch, Drill Run, Aqua Tail, Avalanche and Iron Head.

Alternate Next Gen (Frontier Brains): Sophie Mitler
Sophie is the daughter of Rudy and Melody. As Sophie had grew up on her father’s gym she’s been exposed to dancing at a young age and is always happy when she’s dancing alongside her father’s Pokemon, she also would enjoy the traditions of Shamouti island whenever it would come up. As she got older she decided that she wanted to use a team of Pokemon that were known for dancing or having dance like movements and she wanted to be a gym leader like her father. However, she hit some trouble when she would go to different regions who already had eight gyms or some say she wasn’t skilled enough to have a gym. She was about to go home when she met Lazarus and challenged him to a battle to cheer herself up, while she did end up losing the battle Lazarus had recognized her skill in her dance battling style he offered her a place in his Battle Frontier. At first she didn’t want to join but when he said he was setting up his Battle Frontier like a gym challenge she was interested as she technically was going to be similar to a gym leader and she heard Frontier Brains were tougher, so she was ready to train as hard as she could to join Lazarus’ Battle Frontier. Sophie loves to dance is very good when she comes to dancing, to the point that she could dance professionally if she wanted to but she likes to battle more than dance so she never accepts any offers to join professional dance groups. Sophie has a bit of a flirty side which stems from her father, she’ll often flirt with any boy that catches her attention but she’ll always save the flirting for before or after her battles rather than during her battles. She’s also very polite when it comes to being near other people and she likes telling people about Shamouti Island’s traditions if they ask about her traditions, showing that she’s proud of what her people did when she learned about them herself.
Her Pokemon:
Altaria- Altaria is Sophie’s starter Pokemon, she was given to Sophie as a Swablu by her mother for her tenth birthday. As a Swablu, Altaria loved watching Sophie dance and would often sing as her trainer danced, much to both of their enjoyment. Swablu would take dancing lessons from Rudy’s Flying type Pokemon and would do her best to follow their lead. When she evolved into Altaria, she was able to dance as gracefully as her trainer. Altaria is a kind and gentle Pokemon, she always watches over her teammates and acts as the leader as well as the peace keeper in case some teammates would start to fight each other. Altaria is also affectionate and will wrap her wings around her trainer and quietly hum to her to calm her down or help her sleep when she has trouble sleeping. Altaria is also very protective over Sophie and will attack without mercy if her trainer is harmed by someone. Altaria still loves to sing for her trainer and others who wish to listen to her sing. Altaria’s battle style mostly involves her using her graceful flying maneuvers to make her movement hard to predict, she also will use sound based moves. She’s often seen out of her Pokeball.
Caught in a Pokeball.
Ability is Natural Cure.
Moves are Dragon Pulse, Hyper Voice, Sing, Sky Attack, Steel Wing, Dragon Dance, Moonblast, Dragon Rush, Aerial Ace and Round.
Kirlia- Kirlia was the first Pokemon that Sophie had caught. Sophie was watching Kirlia dance on her own and was amazed by how well she was dancing, she had tried to approach her but Kirlia had fled out of fear. It took some time but after a while Kirlia did warm up to Sophie and allowed herself to be caught by her. Kirlia is very shy, she had kept that part of her personality back when she was a Ralts and it grew with her as a Kirlia, after being with Sophie she still has some times where she’s shy around others but she’ll warm up to them when she gets to know someone. When Kirlia is in a battle or dancing she loses her shyness and will dance beautifully and happily as if she was a completely different Pokemon and it’s because of her skills in dancing, specifically ballet, that she’s able to easily evade any attack from her opponents and counter with her own moves. After a battle is done she’ll be pretty embarrassed at how she danced and will often hide behind her trainer for what happened. Kirlia does get along with her teammates, mostly Oricorio and the two of them spent a lot of time dancing together. Kirlia has no desire to evolve into Gardevoir, preferring to stay as a Kirlia and show her strength as one instead of evolving. Kirlia’s dance style is ballet, she’ll always practice her moves to work good for dodging, attacking and countering.
Caught in a Pokeball.
Ability is Trace.
Held Item is an Everstone.
Moves are Psychic, Life Dew, Teleport, Calm Mind, Dazzling Gleam, Magical Leaf, Shadow Ball, Charm, Draining Kiss and Psyshock.
Hitmontop- Hitmontop was given to Sophie by her father after his Hitmonchan was given an egg by his partner. Hitmontop had hatched as a Tyrouge and at first wasn’t pleased to have his trainer be a girl as he thought that Sophie wanted to do girly things with him so he would always ignore her when she tried to get him to dance with him, he would often go train with his father instead of his trainer. After he originally wanted to evolve into a Hitmonlee or a Hitmonchan like his dad but he ended up evolving into a Hitmontop much to his annoyance as he didn’t know how to work with his new body, he decided to brace himself and went to Sophie for help, thinking she might know how to get him used to his body. After he started training with Sophie with her dance battle style he had gotten used to his body and started listening to Sophie instead of deciding to ignore her like he normally would. The two had gotten closer as more time went on and they had become close friends once they got to officially work together. Hitmontop is a tough Pokemon, he used to think that girls would only want cute Pokemon to dress them up but after getting to know Sophie he learned that not all girls were like that and learned how to ease up on girls. Hitmontop enjoys breakdancing and uses what he knows during battle to both attack his opponents and defend himself.
Caught in a Pokeball.
Ability is Technician.
Moves are Triple Kick, Feint, Rapid Spin, Focus Energy, Mega Kick, Brutal Swing, Bullet Punch, Triple Axel, Close Combat and Brick Break.
Galarian Mr. Mime- Sophie caught her Galarian Mr. Mime when she was in the Galar region with her family, she found him tap dancing and thought that he was cute so she happily caught him. Mr. Mime didn’t mind getting caught as he always wanted a trainer but he was too shy to show himself to trainers. When he learned that Sophie was creating a team of dancing Pokemon, he was excited and practiced both for dancing and battling so he could be a great addition to Sophie’s team. Mr. Mime enjoys tap dancing more than anything and will always tap dance instead of walk when he wants to get somewhere. He’s also very kind and will cheer up anyone by tap dancing for them if they’re feeling down, he always gets excited when someone compliments his dancing skills and will happily bow after a performance. He sees battling as a stage and will gladly dance on that “stage” he will often bow after he defeats his opponent, which is something that Sophie finds adorable so she doesn’t tell him to stop. Mr. Mime’s battle style consists of tap dancing, as well as creating a floor of ice to use as a barrier or just tripping up his opponent. He’ll often use Psychic Terrain to his advantage.
Caught in a Great Ball.
Ability is Vital Spirit.
Moves are Encore, Ice Shard, Expanding Force, Dazzling Gleam, Mirror Coat, Icy Wind, Avalanche, Psychic Terrain, Future Sight and Ice Beam.
Spinda- Spinda was given to Sophie by a relative after they went to Hoenn, Sophie thought Spinda was adorable and happily added her to her team. Spinda is a very clumsy Pokemon, she’ll often totter around aimlessly and sometimes she doesn’t know what she’s doing so she’ll often wander away from her trainer and teammates without realizing it. Spinda tries her best when it comes to battling, however because she has trouble seeing where she is and where she’s going she often faces the wrong way when she tries to attack, thankfully after a lot of training she got a lot sharper and would be able to focus while she was battling against her opponent. Spinda is a cheerful Pokemon despite how dizzy and clumsy she can get when she’s trying to walk, she likes to entertain young kids with her clumsy dance like movements as well as try to act like a bit of a clown for the kids. Spinda’s battle style involves using moves that cause status aliments such as sleep and confusion to hinder her opponents as well as using her dance-like wobbly movements to avoid getting hit.
Caught in a Luxury Ball.
Ability is Own Tempo.
Moves are Hypnosis, Dream Eater, Teeter Dance, Dizzy Punch, Return, Double Team, Assist, Thunder Punch, Fire Punch and Ice Punch.
Oricorio- Sophie had competed in a dancing competition that offered her Oricorio as well as the flowers that Oricorio uses to change dancing styles as a prize for the winner, Sophie had won with the help of her Pokemon and was happy to have Oricorio as part of her dancing team. Oricorio’s personality and dance styles changes depending on which form she takes. When she drinks the red flower nectar and becomes her Baile form, she’s passionate about dancing and will dance beautifully and full of passion. When she drinks the yellow flower nectar and becomes her Pom-Pom form, she’s cheerful and will always cheer on others even if she doesn’t know them. She’ll also cheer up her opposing trainer after they lost by dancing for them, she always smiles when they cheer up. When she drinks the pink flower nectar and becomes her Pa’u form, she’s laid back and will quietly sway to her dance, she sometimes doesn’t hear Sophie’s orders when in this form but she’s gotten better at knowing what her trainer wants by reading her trainer’s thoughts. When she drinks the purple flower nectar and becomes her Sensu form, she becomes calm and collected and will dance in a way that reminds any Kanto trainers of their home region. Before a battle, Oricorio will always drink from one of the various flowers Sophie has so she can choose which dance she’d like to do for the day. Sophie doesn’t mind as it gives her a bit of an unpredictable team, similar to Midnight’s rental Pokemon style. Oricorio is very loyal to Sophie no matter form she takes and will happily show Sophie how to dance like in her various forms.
Caught in a Luxury Ball.
Ability is Dancer.
Moves are Double Slap, Roost, Revelation Dance, Air Slash, Mirror Move, Agility, Steel Wing, Sky Attack, Return and Hurricane.

Alternate Next Gen (Frontier Brains): Clarice and Cole Onion
Clarice and Cole are the twin children of Acerola and Allister. Clarice and Cole both have a soft spot for Ghost type Pokemon as both of their parents specialize in Ghost type Pokemon, they both felt close to Ghost types and decided that they would train to be Ghost type specialists like their parents. As the two of them are always seen together, they always partake in a double battle and they both work off of each other to the point they’ve been practically unbeatable. They both heard about a new Frontier facility open up and they both wanted to join, Lazarus was happy to let them both in and battle together. Clarice is the older twin, she has more of Allister’s personality, being very shy and fearful of others preferring to be by herself, with her twin brother or with her Pokemon. She’s starting to come out of her shell after being with her fellow Frontier Brains but she’s still as reserved as her father when it comes to being with other people. Cole is the younger twin, he takes more after Acerola when it comes to her personality, he’s friendly and is happy when he’s near kids younger than him. Cole also has a bit of a mischief side, he enjoys playing pranks with his Ghost Pokemon and with his sister. Clarice joins in for fun, both of them enjoys scaring others, especially anyone who challenges them to a battle. Cole is the one who plans the scares while Clarice executes the scare with their Pokemon, they both find great enjoyment in being with Ghost types and with each other. Clarice and Cole are very close to each other, rarely getting into an argument and they rarely fight with each other despite how different their personalities are. There are rumors that the two of them can talk through telepathy but those rumors haven’t been confirmed or denied by the twins, they are however, used to being around anything supernatural and rarely are surprised when something supernatural happens to them.
Clarice has a purple Z-Power Ring and Cole has a black Z-Ring. They both have Ghostium Z and Darkinium Z, Clarice also has Mimikium Z.
Clarice’s Pokemon:
Gourgeist- Gourgeist was originally Cole’s Pokemon but as Clarice wanted to have a Gourgeist, she had traded her Phantump for Cole’s Pumpkaboo which made both of them evolve under the care of their new trainers. Gourgeist is very shy much like her trainer, she also hates how people will think she’ll try to lead them into the spirit world when she has never done something like that before. Gourgeist is also very mischievous, she’ll often join in her trainer’s plan to give their opponents a scare by singing an eerie song and flashing the light on her stomach to scare them, she can also change the facial expression of the face on her stomach however she wants which adds to her scare factor. Gourgeist is the older sister of Cole’s Trevenant, she’s very protective of him and will always make sure he’s okay during a battle. The two of them were very happy when they were caught by twin siblings so they could stay together. Despite Cole not being her trainer anymore, she still enjoys being in his company and spending time with him and his sister. Gourgeist is Super Sized and mostly relies on various tricks during battle.
Caught in a Dusk Ball.
Ability is Frisk.
Moves are Phantom Force, Mystical Fire, Power Whip, Destiny Bond, Nasty Plot, Hex, Trick Room, Double Team, Seed Bomb and Confuse Ray.
Alolan Marowak- Clarice had caught her Alolan Marowak after he had evolved and while she was in the Alola region with her family, she had trained with him to help him evolve into an Alolan Marowak at night. As a Cubone, he was very lonely and would always cry when he was afraid or if Clarice wasn’t with him. Clarice had comforted him a lot when he was a Cubone, making her the only person he was close to and wouldn’t cry near. After he had gotten more comfortable with training and battling, he had opened up and had become more independent than when he was first found by Clarice. He had evolved at night while they were in the Alola region, despite having the chance to leave and take care of himself he instead wanted to stay with Clarice as she had trained and raised him when he was still a Cubone, Clarice agreed and caught him. Marowak is a loyal and brave Pokemon, he always makes sure to protect his trainer from harm as a thank you for how much he helped him when he was still young. Marowak is also a bit possessive over Clarice, which was something that first occurred when he was a Cubone as he didn’t want his “mama’s” attention away from him and while he wasn’t as bad as when he was younger, he still has traits of being possessive when he sees a boy talking or flirting with Clarice and he will quickly whack the boy over the head with his club. Marowak’s battle style has him rely on using his bone to block attacks as well as using fire dancing to dodge attacks, making him unpredictable.
Caught in a Dusk Ball.
Ability is Cursed Body.
Held Item is a Thick Club.
Moves are Shadow Bone, Will-O-Wisp, Bone Rush, Flame Wheel, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Shadow Ball, Brutal Swing, Focus Blast and Flare Blitz.
Mimikyu- Clarice caught Mimikyu after she had completed her mother’s trial, she found Mimikyu on a shelf and mistook him for a plush toy but was happy to have him either way and managed to catch him. Mimikyu is very shy when it comes to meeting others, he only really warmed up to his trainer and his trainer’s family as they all were nice to him and they understood him. Mimikyu enjoys sewing in his free time and will often make different disguises for himself instead of just Pikachu, he’s always happy when his costumes are complimented by others by how well made they are. Mimikyu does have a very bad temper that comes up when someone breaks the neck of any of the costume he makes and he gets even more upset when the costumes he works hard on rips while he’s in a battle, hell often wear a replacement costume until the ripped one is fixed by his trainer. Despite what many people think, Mimikyu gets along with Lazarus’ Pikachu and the two of them are very close friends and there’s no bad blood between them, the two of them even train together when they aren’t busy. Mimikyu doesn’t have much of a plan when it comes to battling, but he does try to be as sneaky as possible when it comes to battling against anyone else.
Caught in a Dusk Ball.
Ability is Disguise.
Moves are Double Team, Shadow Sneak, Play Rough, Shadow Claw, Drain Punch, Phantom Force, Thunderbolt, Copycat, Dazzling Gleam and Hone Claws.
Cole’s Pokemon:
Trevenant- Trevenant was originally Clarice’s Pokemon but as Cole wanted to have a Trevenant, he had traded his Pumpkaboo for Clarice’s Phantump which made them both evolve under the care of their new trainers. Trevenant is a sweetheart despite how he looks intimidating, he has a childlike wonder about him that was there when he was a Phantump. Trevenant is kind to Pokemon that dwell in forests and actively gives them any berries he grows or finds while he’s on a walk, he also is very protective of forests and will protect them even if he gets injured or burned in the process. Despite how kind he can be, he still enjoys playing pranks on people with his trainer and will often use his ability to control plants and roots to give people a scare, especially if someone is threatening the forest. Trevenant is the younger brother of Clarice’s Gourgeist, he’s very protective of her and will always make sure she’s okay during a battle. The two of them were very happy when they were caught by twin siblings so they could stay together. Despite Clarice not being his trainer anymore, he still enjoys being in her company and spending time with her and her brother. Trevenant mostly relies on his strong attack as well as moves to stall his opponents while he’s battling, he also figured out how to counter Fire types by using Will-O-Wisp to absorb the Fire type energy.
Caught in a Dusk Ball.
Ability is Frisk.
Moves are Will-O-Wisp, Leech Seed, Shadow Claw, Horn Leech, Destiny Bond, Phantom Force, Ingrain, Rock Slide, X-Scissor and Giga Impact.
Cursola- Cole had caught his Cursola when she was a Corsola. Cole had spotted his Galarian Corsola while he was in Galar with his family, he found her to be cute and managed to catch her. As a Corsola, Cursola was very shy when she was spotted by others as she thought that people would freak out if they saw how she looked. When she saw that Cole wasn’t freaked out by her appearance she was happy that he liked her and caught her. During her time with Cole, she would do her best to train with him and his other Pokemon. She does often miss how she looked when she was a normal Corsola but after being with Cole long enough she had grown to accept herself in her new form which is how she managed to evolve into Cursola. As a Cursola, she no longer cares what others think of her and is happy to battle for her trainer who cares for and loves her. Does her best during battle and is happy when she manages to win for her trainer, she works well with everyone on Clarice’s team and is glad when she’s partnered with one of them. Cursola relies on her special moves as well as using Reflect and Harden to boost her defense and weakening her opponent’s attack with Strength Sap.
Caught in a Dusk Ball.
Ability is Perish Body.
Moves are Ancient Power, Curse, Strength Sap, Mirror Coat, Reflect, Harden, Giga Drain, Shadow Ball, Hex and Meteor Beam.
Golett- Cole caught Golett when he was on a walk with his sister. Golett had let himself be caught by Cole as he was looking for a trainer but most people had passed him up for a different Pokemon so he was happy when Cole had sent out his Trevenant to battle him and was happy to be caught by Cole. Golett is an easy going Pokemon that’s okay with pretty much anything that happens around him, he’s also eager to please and he does his best in battle so that he could earn his stay with Cole. Deep down he’s worried that if he doesn’t do his best in Cole’s eyes, he’s going to get released and replaced by another Ghost type so he takes a lot of time to train himself to be as strong as he can as a Golett. Golett doesn’t like the thought of evolving as he wants to be strong as he is, he also doesn’t want to be as tall as his evolved form is as he’s afraid he could accidentally hurt his trainer and his trainer’s sister, so he holds onto an Everstone to keep himself from evolving. Golett’s battle strategy is to use various punching moves as they get boosted by his ability.
Caught in a Dusk Ball.
Ability is Iron Fist.
Moves are Shadow Punch, Rock Polish, Focus Punch, Stomping Tantrum, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Phantom Force, Heavy Slam, Iron Defense and Mega Punch.

Alternate Next Gen (Frontier Brains): Garnet Maple
Garnet is the older son of Ruby and Sapphire. Due to how he looks a lot like his father, people thought that Garnet would be a Pokemon Coordinator like his father but they were in for a surprise when Garnet took more of an interest in Pokemon battling while his younger sister took an interest in Pokemon contests. Despite how he looks a lot like Ruby, Garnet acts a lot like Sapphire being head strong and preferring to train himself and his Pokemon rather than make them look beautiful like his sister, however despite how different their views are Garnet cares about his sister and accepts what she does even if he doesn’t get the point of Pokemon contests like his father and sister. Garnet always spent a lot of time in nature with his mom, as such he developed a sixth sense related to nature which made him able to tell when it was going to rain, snow or any kind of weather that was going to happen when he’s in the area. Garnet had inherited his father’s ability to tell a Pokemon’s nature by looking at them but he developed them farther by knowing what that Pokemon’s favorite food is by just looking at them which lead him to carry all kinds of berries while he’s in the wild to distract a wild Pokemon long enough for him to gain their trust and get them to not attack him. Because of how well in tune with nature Garnet is, he decided to focus his entire team around weather and carefully selected what Pokemon would be best for him to use that could benefit with all kinds of weather conditions. Lazarus had heard of Garnet’s team and had asked him to join his Battle Frontier, to which Garnet agreed as he wanted to show off his training and his team to others.
His Pokemon:
Castform- Castform was given to Garnet by his father, Castform happens to be the son of Ruby’s own Castform. Garnet’s Castform is very determined to battle alongside Garnet, he didn’t have an interest in being part of a contest like his mother and would instead focus on battling much like his trainer. Castform takes advantage of his ability to change his form into his Sunny, Rainy or Snowy forms and will use moves that benefit whatever form he takes when he uses any of the weather moves he knows. Castform’s personality changes when he’s in a certain form as well, when he’s in his normal form he’s playful, cheerful and easy to please as he’s mostly seen smiling at everyone. When he’s in his Sunny form, he’s hot tempered and determined to win for himself and his trainer. When he’s in his Rainy form, he’s more mellow and calm and would think clearly during a battle. When he’s in his Snowy form, he’s a stern and calculating but he can also be a bit distant and sometimes a little too much to handle or get along with, thankfully Garnet knows how to get him to open up even when he’s cold and distant in his Snowy form. In battle, Castform relies on his ability and his weather changing moves to change his form during battle and to give him an edge as well as to turn the tides during battle.
Given in a Pokeball.
Ability is Forecast.
Moves are Sunny Day, Rain Dance, Hail, Weather Ball, Solar Beam, Thunder, Blizzard, Fire Blast, Future Sight and Return.
Tangela- Garnet had caught Tangela after he had nursed her back to health when she was attacked by some Poison type Pokemon. Tangela is a shy Pokemon that mostly hides behind her trainer but when she gets to know someone she’s very open and affectionate, nuzzling against someone when she really gets used to someone. When she’s in battle, she acts a lot different and gets serious and will always attack as best as she can during a fight with anyone she’s up against. While she does get nervous when she’s up against a Poison type Pokemon, she still will battle as hard as she can despite how afraid she is. Tangela refuses to evolve as she doesn’t like how her evolved form looks and would rather stay small as well prove that she doesn’t have to evolve to be strong, so she holds onto an Everstone to prevent her from evolving into Tangrowth. Her battle style revolves around her using the sunlight to make herself faster as well as grant her more health when she uses Synthesis, she also relies on her powder moves to inflict status effects as well as moves that give her health in the middle of a battle.
Caught in a Pokeball.
Ability is Chlorophyll.
Held Item is an Everstone.
Moves are Giga Drain, Stun Spore, Sleep Powder, Poison Powder, Ancient Power, Synthesis, Leech Seed, Solar Beam, Grassy Terrain and Energy Ball.
Sandslash- Sandslash was caught by Garnet when he was a Sandshrew. As a Sandshrew, Sandslash was determined to get stronger but he would always fall short and would mostly end up get beaten by another Pokemon. When he saw Garnet and his Pokemon, he approached them and challenged him to a battle as an attempt to get caught by Garnet. He got his wish when Garnet saw his potential and ended up catching Sandshrew. After a lot of training, he had evolved into a Sandslash much to Sandslash’s delight. Sandslash is a proud Pokemon, he enjoys how strong he is now and does his best to make himself stronger and tougher. Sandslash takes great pride in his attack and he’ll always make sure to make himself stronger how ever he can with basic strength increasing regimens, he also tries his best to avoid getting wet or cold as he hates both water and cold weather but thankfully he thought of some counters while he was with Garnet. Sandslash’s battle style is him using Sandstorm to make himself faster as well as hide himself, he also uses his claws to stir up sand to get Water type moves not to effect him.
Caught in a Pokeball.
Ability is Sand Rush.
Moves are Dig, Earthquake, Swords Dance, Crush Claw, Drill Run, Stone Edge, Giga Impact, Sandstorm, Fury Cutter and Slash.
Goodra- Goodra was caught by Garnet when he was a little Goomy. Goodra was unsure how his new trainer would be, especially with how most trainers ignore him due with him being a weaker Dragon type but he was happy that Garnet caught him. When he had evolved into Sliggoo, he and Garnet started training a lot in the rain so he could evolve into a Goodra. It took a while but after he managed to track when it was raining Goodra had ended up evolving during a battle with another trainer. Goodra is a very friendly Pokemon, he enjoys being with his trainer and his team, Goodra is also affectionate and enjoys giving his trainer a hug and he always apologizes for covering him in slime but Garnet doesn’t mind. Goodra really loves being in the rain or being near water in general, he always loves to go out in the rain and just dance around as it rains, he also is very protective of his trainer and will always go far as to come out of his Ultra Ball just to punch someone who tries to bring harm to his trainer. Goodra’s battle style has him rely on the rain and he has some moves that benefit in rain, such as Thunder and various Water type moves which get a boost in the rain. He also uses his ability Hydration as a benefit.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Hydration.
Moves are Dragon Pulse, Aqua Tail, Mega Punch, Rain Dance, Thunder, Outrage, Draco Meteor, Iron Tail, Hydro Pump and Breaking Swipe.
Glalie- Garnet had caught Glalie after a battle while it was hailing, Garnet was impressed with how well Glalie was able to battle so he caught him after weakening him more. Glalie isn’t much of a talker when it comes to being with his teammates as he likes to be by himself more often he likes to be with the others. He’s still opening up to the others with the only one he’s okay being with is Castform and his trainer, he isn’t as fond being with anyone else in the group. Despite how he acts around others, he still works hard to be the best battler he can be for his trainer and his team and he’s glad he was able to join a team full of Pokemon who use the weather to their advantage and he’s happy being in the cold. Glalie is a tough Pokemon, he also knows how to use his natural ability of freezing moisture in the air to create counters to attacks and he mastered how to do it with almost little to no issues. Glalie also takes pride in himself when he beats a Fire type or any kinds of type he’s weak against as he dislikes how people underestimate him for being an Ice type Pokemon. His battle style is using Hail to hinder his opponents while the hail will heal him over time, he also will use moves that will hinder his opponent or use what they did to him as a way to counter his opponent.
Caught in a Ultra Ball.
Ability is Ice Body.
Moves are Hail, Frost Breath, Freeze-Dry, Sheer Cold, Facade, Blizzard, Payback, Bulldoze, Avalanche and Sleep Talk.

Alternate Next Gen (Frontier Brains): Hana Hachiku-Itsuki
Hana is the daughter of Erika and Sabrina and is the youngest of the Hachiku-Itsuki sisters. Hana had spent a lot of her time with Erika instead of Sabrina, Brycen or Will so she’s a lot closer to her birth mother, as such she takes a big interest in gardening, flower arranging and she knows how to make perfumes. While she did inherit Sabrina’s psychic abilities, she mostly uses them defensively by creating a barrier to protect herself and others or will simply teleport away, she will rarely use them to attack someone unless they make her angry. Hana and her half sisters were known for their impressive battle skills and following the types their parents had choose to special in, their skills in battling had been heard by Lazarus who wished for them to join his Battle Frontier, Hana was the first one who accepted the offer and doesn’t regret accepting the offer. Hana is a very polite and kind hearted person who is compared to a princess much like her mother Erika and just like her mother she enjoys using Grass type Pokemon and she finds Grass types of all kind to be cute despite what someone might say about how one isn’t as cute as other Grass types. It doesn’t happen often but Hana does have a temper that mostly comes out if someone insults Grass types or any perfume she makes, unlike her mother she doesn’t ban anyone who insults Grass types or her perfume from challenging her as she would rather prove to them that her Grass types can win against someone who looks down on her and what she does and likes.
Her Pokemon:
Serperior- Serperior was caught by Hana when she was a Snivy. Serperior had a trainer before Hana but she decided her previous trainer wasn’t up to her standards and quickly left after destroying her Pokeball. When she saw Hana she saw some potential and figured she would be a better trainer for her so she let herself be caught by Hana’s Pokeball and she doesn’t regret her choice in a trainer. Serperior has a calm and cool demeanor much like her species but she also holds herself as a queen which first started shortly after she became a Serperior. Serperior takes great pride in her speed and always trains herself to be faster than any other Serperior. Despite how she can be haughty and maybe even too prideful, she still cares for her teammates and her trainer as she is their leader and she feels she has to watch over them and make sure they’re doing okay. She views herself as the sole protector of her team and the one everyone has to depend on when things go wrong and she takes pride in that role. She takes pride in her sharp glare and if she meets an opponent who isn’t fazed by her glare she’ll gain respect for them and will attack without holding back. Serperior relies on her speed during a battle, she also takes advantage of her ability Contrary when it comes to using Leaf Storm, she hits hard and moves fast.
Caught in a Luxury Ball.
Ability is Contrary.
Moves are Leaf Storm, Wring Out, Giga Drain, Leaf Blade, Mean Look, Grassy Terrain, Frenzy Plant, Aqua Tail, Dragon Pulse and Iron Tail.
Victreebel- Hana’s Victreebel was caught after Hana had battled her and shown some potential to be part of her team. Despite Victreebel’s looks, she’s a very caring and gentle Pokemon who wants to be friends with another person however it’s because of how she looks and how people know of her species that they end up running from her and it’s because Hana wasn’t afraid of her that she didn’t mind getting caught by Hana. Victreebel works hard to stay with her trainer even if she doesn’t really have to but she’s determined not to let her trainer down so she often trains harder with her teammates. Victreebel enjoys laying in the sun or being in the sun in general when she isn’t training, even being excited when she learned how to use Sunny Day when she was with Hana. Victreebel is affectionate and will always lay against Hana and nuzzle against her when she’s happy. Victreebel relies on using Sunny Day to boost her speed thanks to her ability and to charge her Solar Beam faster, she mostly uses her moves to stall her opponents and give herself and edge.
Caught in a Pokeball.
Ability is Chlorophyll.
Moves are Sunny Day, Poison Jab, Leaf Blade, Sweet Scent, Stockpile, Swallow, Spit Up, Toxic, Solar Beam and Strength Sap.
Lilligant- Hana had caught Lilligant when she was a Petilil before finding a Sun Stone and having her evolve into Lilligant. As a Petilil, Lilligant was very shy and nervous around her teammates with the only one she got along with were Tsareena as a Bounsweet, Leafeon as a Eevee and Lurantis as a Fomantis as they were the same height as her and didn’t look as scary as Serperior or Victreebel. After being caught, Lilligant had went through a lot of training to catch up to her other teammates and when she was ready to evolve Hana had given her a Sun Stone. When she evolved, she felt a lot more confident in herself and started taking up dancing, especially after learning how to use Petal Dance. When she isn’t battling, she enjoys being with Tsareena, Leafeon and Lurantis or she’ll be taken care of by Hana. Lilligant has the most beautiful flower thanks to the care Hana has given her and she’s always happy to be pampered by Hana. Lilligant’s battle style relies more on her skills in dancing as well as stalling her opponents, as well as disabling them and keeping them from attacking.
Caught in a Heal Ball.
Ability is Own Tempo.
Moves are Sleep Powder, Dream Eater, Petal Dance, Energy Ball, Pollen Puff, Double Team, Giga Drain, Attract, Quiver Dance and Teeter Dance.
Tsareena- Tsareena was caught by Hana when she was a Bounsweet. As a Bounsweet, Tsareena was a cheerful and upbeat Pokemon who always wanted to see her teammates and trainer smile which she would do by releasing her Sweet Scent for them or just hopping around to make them laugh. When she evolved into Steenee, she started getting a bit of a tomboy streak but she would still go out of her way to make the others smile. After evolving into Tsareena, she became a bit cruel around others but still has her sweet side but only when she’s near her trainer or with her friends. Tsareena also gained a very big protective streak and will always kick or stomp on someone who insults her trainer when Hana isn’t looking. Tsareena is also very picky and sassy, often refusing to let anyone aside from Hana approach or give her food and she’s very reserved, the only other people she likes are Hana’s half sisters, anyone else will often get a flick from her hair if they try talking to her or a kick from her. Tsareena relies on her legs during battle, as well as her high Attack. She’ll also use her charms to weaken her opponent’s will to fight.
Caught in a Heal Ball.
Ability is Leaf Guard.
Moves are Trop Kick, Power Whip, Mega Kick, High Jump Kick, Attract, Charm, Captivate, Play Rough, Triple Axel and Stomp.
Leafeon- Leafeon was caught as an Eevee and she had evolved after being exposed into a Leaf Stone. Leafeon is a lot different from other Leafeon, she isn’t a pacifist and enjoys fighting to protect herself which was something she did a lot when she was an Eevee, Hana doesn’t mind how her Leafeon is different and encourages her to battle however she wishes. While Leafeon is a lot more fierce than a normal Leafeon, she still cares a lot about her teammates and her trainer and shows her gentle side near them and only them, anyone else she’ll glare and growl at them unless she trusts them. Leafeon is rarely close to anyone else aside from her trainer and her teammates but she did warm up to Lazarus as technically he is her trainer’s boss and she does like being around him. Even if she does like Lazarus, she still prefers to be near Hana and only allows Hana to groom and pet her when they aren’t training. Her battle style is to attack as hard and as fast as she can thanks to her ability, as well as using the sun to help her. She also supports her teammates when she can by passing her stat changes to them.
Caught in a Friend Ball.
Ability is Chlorophyll.
Moves are Sunny Day, Leaf Blade, Solar Blade, Synthesis, Swords Dance, Baton Pass, Bullet Seed, Retaliate, Double Team and Fury Cutter.

As a Fomantis, Lurantis was very sleepy and would mostly fall asleep instead of train but after a while she had gotten used to training and would be able to stay up later but she would still take a nap after a while of training. After evolving, she became much more energetic and cheerful to the point she will often dance as she moves around. Lurantis gets along great with Lilligant and the two of them always get together when Hana is ready to groom them as both of them take a lot of care to be groomed in order to keep up their great appearances. Lurantis fully trusts Hana to groom her daily when they don’t have an opponent to face. Lurantis enjoys battling with her teammates and alongside her trainer, she sees battles as a dance and will often match herself with her opponent to confuse them by dancing as she battles, she takes mental notes from Sophie and her Pokemon and often copies what they do while she battles. She relies on her attacks and her dancing skills to relentlessly attack her opponents before they can even get a chance to counter or think of a way to counter her. She’ll also immobilize her opponents and will use more than just Grass type moves to catch her opponents off guard.
Caught in a Heal Ball.

Alternate Next Gen (Frontier Brains): Midnight Neziki
Midnight is the daughter of Marley and Thorton. Midnight didn’t know what she wanted to do when she was younger and would mostly just play with her Gothitelle when she was a Gothita. It wasn’t until she was older that she enjoyed Pokemon battles and enjoyed watching her father using rental Pokemon to battle in his Battle Facility and greatly admired how he can use rental Pokemon without issue and how strong he was during each battle and she wanted to be like her father. She had started battling with some wild Pokemon she befriended which greatly impressed anyone who heard she was battling alongside wild Pokemon instead of Pokemon she actually caught. Her skills had gotten heard by Lazarus who happily recruited her to be part of his special Battle Frontier, while she wasn’t sure at first she was soon convinced and agreed to work with him and be a Frontier Brain for him. Midnight is a lot like both of her parents, while she doesn’t express herself as well as others she makes up for it with how well she can bond with wild Pokemon and get them to battle with her within a few seconds of them meeting her. Midnight acts as a mock Gym Leader in Lazarus’ Battle Frontier along with seven others, as she doesn’t specialize in a type she instead specializes in letting both sides use Rental Pokemon that are provided by Lazarus’ cousin who catches wild Pokemon and lets Midnight use Pokemon she feels will be good for battles. Midnight is very mature and calm for her age and will calmly accept defeat when she gets beaten by a challenger. Despite her looks, Midnight actually knows a lot about technology and will often work on inventions in her free time and she’s good at making analysis's which she uses to her advantage while she’s in a battle.
Her Pokemon:
Gothitelle- Gothitelle is Midnight’s first and only Pokemon on her team and Gothitelle is happy to be part of Midnight’s team. Gothitelle has been with Midnight since the beginning and is always happy to provide her trainer with a shoulder to lay on and give her comfort when she needs it. Gothitelle likes being with Midnight and often cares for her when her parents aren’t around but when she was a Gothita she was more playful and acted as a younger sister to Midnight but after evolving she became a lot more mature and would always protect Midnight or assist her with her inventions, Gothitelle would also provide Midnight with some analysis Midnight would overlook by using Future Sight to see a bit into the future. Gothitelle is rather distant from anyone who isn’t her trainer, often being very aloof and standoffish to others but when she gets to know someone she does warm up a bit more. Gothitelle doesn’t like to battle, often preferring to just stay back and watch her trainer battle with other Pokemon but if she needs to and Midnight is in danger she will step in and battle to protect Midnight.
Caught in a Pokeball.
Ability is Competitive.
Moves are Future Sight, Psychic, Flatter, Helping Hand, Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse, Heal Pulse, Calm Mind and Protect.

Alternate Next Gen (Friends): Leilani Soleil
Leilani is the daughter of Sun and Lillie. Due to being raised in a facility that cares for Pokemon, Leilani became interested in being a caretaker and would take care of the Pokemon in the Aether Foundation. When she heard that her cousin was going to the Kanto region, she went with him as she wanted to learn more about taking care of Pokemon. Leilani had met and became friends with Golda and pays close attention to what Golda does as a caretaker. Much like her mother, Leilani is polite, innocent and kindhearted and is always putting others before herself. Leilani is very shy around people she hasn’t met before, she’s trying to break out of that though. She cares deeply about Pokemon and always wants to care for them when they’re injured or if they’re needing comfort, she also enjoys studying Pokemon and always make note of their behaviors and takes notes if they behave differently than how she knows how they act and is always happy when she hears about Pokemon acting different than their species. She doesn’t have an idea where to put it, but she’s still looking.
Her Pokemon:
Alolan Vulpix- Leilani was given an Alolan Vulpix by her parents after Sun and Lillie noticed how Leilani would work with Ice types more than any other type. Leilani was happy to have her Vulpix and took great care of her until she left with Kunal to go to the Kanto region. Vulpix is a reserved Pokemon, she prefers to be with Leilani but she does warm up to others after she gets used to being around them which is one reason why she’s okay being near Golda and Kunal. Vulpix also gets along with other Ice type Pokemon and tries to get along with other types of Pokemon, she’s also trying to get used to warmer weather conditions. Vulpix is affectionate to Leilani and always cuddles against her and enjoys walking by her side or just being in her arms. Vulpix tries her best to help Leilani with being a caretaker and Leilani appreciates Vulpix’s help, even if she mostly just carries items that Leilani needs. Alternate Next Gen (Friends): Kunal Gärtner
Kunal is the son of Gladion and Moon. Knowing that his mom is from a bunch of scholars and his father is from a research facility and seeing his appearance, one would think he would rebel against his parents and what they do. With Kunal that isn’t the case, he fully embraces both parts of his family and works hard with others in the Aether Foundation and the other scholars that are part of Moon’s family, it’s because of that he’s very smart for his age and earned a degree for medicine, Kunal knows a lot about different medicines and often creates his own medicine from poison, herbs and berries he finds while he’s on a walk. He decided to go to Kanto for a desire to expand his horizons and see what else he could learn from people other than those who work with and for his family. He had met Kody and became fast friends with him as both of them enjoy studying medicine and learning with each other. Kunal is a very distant but nice guy, he only gets close to those he feels like he can get along with. Kunal also has some big brother instincts that only come out when he’s with his cousin Leilani or with Kody. Much like his mother, Kunal can see through someone’s deception and see through someone who’s lying which helps him out on many occasions where it’s helpful to him. He can be a bit impatient at times and as he grew up around scholars and scientists, he refuses to accept concepts such as luck and anything else that’s not scientific and he always gets annoyed when something lucky happens to someone.
His Pokemon:
Type: Null- Type: Null was given to Kunal by Gladion before he left to go to the Kanto region, Gladion told Kunal about Type: Null and explained how he had to get Type: Null to accept the RKS system but he didn’t explain how, thinking it would be a good test for his son to figure out on his own. Kunal agreed to his test and took Type: Null under his care. Type: Null is very anxious around others and refuses to let anyone pet or go near them unless they know them well enough, they will often bark and growl at someone they don’t trust. They’re fine being near Kunal and often nuzzles against him and only him, they’re okay being near Kunal’s younger cousin Leilani but they aren’t ready to allow her to pet them yet. Despite their anxiousness, they’re very protective over Kunal and Leilani and will always come to their aid if they need help. Type: Null often gets more anxious when Kunal isn’t nearby and will always lash out at anything around them, Kunal keeps Type: Null in a Luxury ball to keep them calm enough for them to get used to being away from him.
Caught in a Luxury Ball.
Ability is Battle Armor.
Moves are Tackle, Tri Attack, Crush Claw, Air Slash, Giga Impact, Shadow Claw, Swords Dance, Dragon Claw, Iron Head and X-Scissor.
