I received this broken phoenix necklace (got a refund) and decided to repair it.

I wasn't going to buy a replacement since it has a very fragile design and will likely break again.

So I decided to repair/alter it to make it wearable.

I glued 2 different lotus pendants to the back while also reattaching the broken wing.

a good way to inspire yourself to do more is to see yourself as the wacky sitcom B plot character in your friends lives, "wouldnt it be funny to tell the friends in my phone about it." has gotten me to do anything from going to a festival (excelent) to wild camping (it went badly) (coastguard called) to trying to get the train to stonehenge (stonehenge costs money so i ended up just getting lunch in sailsbury, it was okay.) i bought a bicycle today and 20% of my reasoning was "itd be funny to surprise my roommate by coming home with a whole bike." . life is for living. and baby i live for the bit.

Stray cats are almost a fucking trigger with me it breaks my fucking heart and I wish I had so much more money and energy to try to make a difference

It sounds funny but I have a cat shelter that I donate to every month sometimes multiple times a month and it's in South Africa and I'm in Idaho in the US Literally pretty much completely across the world. But my relatively small amount of money to make a difference there for this lady I've known for 5 years who out in the middle of damn near nowhere takes care of 100 plus cats on her own most of the time she hires one worker about 4 hours a day 5 days a week when she can get him to show up and she lives in a house that is full of cats and clean I might add and she puts every minute and every time to them and I wish I was better and I wish I could do it but there's days I can't get out of bed

If you cannot physically be the one out there rescuing then help someone else do it

This is me deciding I had to cut out all (non Tumblr) social media and most of the news for a while

I believe we need to know and fight against corruption but as a disabled person struggling to get through each day and physically unable to do the basic level of needed things for my day to day survival by myself I had to accept that all I was doing was punishing myself and hurting myself

For me it is better to live my life the best I can, take care of my needs and then donate to the people who physically and mentally can make a difference instead of struggling with deep seated rage, fury and depression daily that hinders my ability to just live

Better to fight back with cash (donations and boycotts) while protecting myself as I need
