This is absolutely disgusting and I'm appalled at this. You can copyright just about anything in the US for a few years with essentially pocket change but this dude. . . I have no words for this. This is no longer about "just dolls". The bjd hobby will collapse most likely if this pans out the way Luo wants it to.

•BJD companies close their doors. Well *that* doesn't matter, buying legit doesn't *matter*

•BUT THEN artists then will stop making accessories for dolls. That means that after legit companies close their doors and take their merch with them, the only places you'll be able to get clothes and furniture and other things for dolls are from taobao and etsy and seeing as etsy are pro artist because 99% of sellers on etsy are artists themselves it won't last and those etsy shops that cater to bjd owners (you know, US) will shut down as well. That leaves Taobao, which is essentially a site similar to ebay but based in the east and therefore need an agent BUT I doubt taobao will last long without pro artists.

•Congratulations~! You destroyed this hobby~ wasn't that fun~?

No. It isn't. If you have any love for this hobby AT ALL then you better hope Luo doesn't succeed in this. You better pray to whatever higher power you believe in that the legit companies are able to fight this.

So in recent news, it’s seems like the recast situation just got 100x worse….

I saw on @puffypuffers insta with screen caps from a Dollfie Dream FB group that Luo, one of the top recasters in China, is now in the process of filing for trademark of various BJD companies to own their trademark.

Which means that those companies he’s filing for to “own” were to sell in China, from Taobao to even doll shows, they could face legal actions and could never sell in China again. The list of companies that have been effected and having pending trademark is already extensive, companies that aren’t even in China such as Dollshe, Fairyland, Iplehouse, Soom, Lillycat, Marina Byockova, Peaks Woods, DOLK, Bambicrony, Cocoriang, and so much more, he’s also even added trademarks in the US for some companies as well. Luo has every intention of chasing out the “competition” of the companies themselves so he can sell freely with no repercussions.

With him doing this, he’s literally eliminating the companies that he recast from, so will probably be a point where you no longer be able buy originally cast of those companies doll, but you’re only be able to buy cheap resin copies because those companies will eventually shut down due to losing a part of the market they sell to

I don’t know how else more to say that the recast situation just gone past ignoring now, because this gone from bad to beyond worse.

Luts Junior Delf Body

. . .is really finicky. So after many mild panic attacks later, my Luts Junior Delf hybrid is home (getting ahold of the seller was difficult and I feared that I was going to become a horror story) He doesn't have a name or hair or eyes. . . Or pants (I'm a bad doll mommy 😢~). So glad I ended up getting underwear in a grab bag from @mintoncardinc ages ago. I've been calling him Yue for lack of anything else to call him. But anyway, Yue is a very unique doll seeing as Luts junior Delf body is no longer being made and the head is an Ariadoll Narvy (ariadoll closed it's doors in 2012) and he's short for a 1/3 boy! I love him though. He's my first hybrid too and I'm simply blown away by the color match (I can't tell the difference!). I'm wanting to get him the necessary items before posting any pics. Because my boy needs pants.

Mistakes were made

I have alpaca fiber in my mail box that I can't get to because my roommate left town with the key. I'm sure it'll be okay but I wanted to see it before I went to my parents house. I found the cutest boy on a discontinued Luts Junior Delf body. He's a hybrid with another company that I don't think is in business anymore but he's so cute and I have way more girls than boys. Only thing. I'm worried about is the seller is a bit difficult to get ahold of. P.S. a pen pal of mine recently got her first bjd and she's completely enthralled with her new friend. I'm glad I was able to introduce my friend to this hobby.

Dolly Update

As I unearth this blog from where I left it, time for some updates~ So, I really don't like the face-up Dollzone gave Megumi. It looks sloppy in places and it looked like it was rushed. Thankfully I live in an area where there are artists who are willing to redo her for me. I also found the outfit that I initially bought for her that I thought that I lost, which I was upset about because they no longer make said outfit. I'm still a bit salty towards her but I'm going to get her a few things (like a new face!) and fall in love with her like I initially did. Impldoll order came in along with my first large doll. I love her. So much. Impldoll Fiona isn't a popular sculpt and a lot of people were surprised at how pretty she was, though apparently the "real skin" color I got is extremely pink according to some. It just looks like a creamy yellow to me. Eehhh? I feel like a noob talking to veterans of this hobby. And Dream Arts Quincy is adorable. I don't know why she isn't more popular --maybe because she's similar to Monster High or Blythe. And my Luts order came in with my Bishop Momo (and an outfit for Noel who still doesn't have a body, ha ha). Momo is adorable and I love the bodies that Luts has for their tiny doll (everything is round). All in all, this is the first time I don't have any preorders for anything and so everyone is home. I need a group picture of them before I end up finding someone else I like and decide to buy them. Noel also needs a body.

Doll Zone Yan: Megumi

Has finally made it home!!!! She’s pretty though her eyes are kinda droopy (I guess they’re supposed to look like “bedroom eyes” but she just looks high to me -_- hopefully a wig will fix that). Currently no pictures because I had to get ready for work and the full set doesn’t exactly fit. I ordered Megumi on a different body (well DZ contacted me saying that the 05 body would be ready before the 04 body and offered the switch; which I took because I thought it would shorten the time in order to get my doll). The difference between the 05 body and the 04 body is a .5cm difference in the bust. But I liked so the 05 body looked in the proportions then the 04 body. And so a .5cm difference causes the outfit not to fit. I kinda of find it funny seeing as I’m currently at work and not struggling with the clothes (which make no sense in general). Granted, I feel like I’m complaining but I waited a year for her and I can only see the things I don’t like or currently frustrate me. Hopefully when I have her dressed it will be a different story.

While she can stand on her own, for some reason I couldn't get her to so she's leaning against paper plates. **please excuse the photo, I do not have a working camera so I typically have to borrow a phone with a camera. In this case, my boyfriend's before we left on a trip at the last possible moment. ***Yes, my boyfriend knows I collect BJDs

DollZone order from 2016

MEGUMI'S ALMOST HOME!!!! I ordered a DollZone Yan during the company's discontinuation event last year (literally, it was last year in April). While DZ takes 6 months to ship to MoC, I was unfortunate enough to be one of the ones with a messed up order, ergo - wrong doll. So here I am, a year later, and Megumi has just arrived at MoC's office. Yay!

Soom Mixi update~

So I read on a few forums that Soom's mini gem line could fit barbie clothes. Awesome. So on my way home from work I popped by a dollar store to see if they had any fashion doll clothes. They did, even if they were all ugly. Most of them I wouldn't pay a dollar for, but I found one that wasn't too hideous. I'm guessing that the dress I bought was a production error because typically barbie clothes -even cheap, knock offs- have velcro to make dressing easier. Mine didn't have any of that. I think I would have been upset if I bought the dress for a doll that couldn't come apart but I really couldn't care less seeing as bjds come apart. And it was a dollar. Plus, I didn't know if it would fit. I had to not only remove the dolls head, but also her arms in order to have her not be naked. Add to the fact that she's thin I was terrified that I'd break something. The dress is a halter style so she'll be able to show off her wings but as of this moment, she's in her bag put away. I'm still getting used to the way she moves. She's single jointed and the only dolls that have single joints are my 2 boys (and that's only because I haven't bought a new body for my 1/4 boy). I keep trying to pose her like I would any of my other dolls and it's a fruitless endeavor. I'm still learning many things about this hobby

Soon Mixi

I stated in a prior post that I was able to buy a Soom Mixi from the 2nd hand market. She's so pretty and delicate~ While I do like the child-like 1/6 bjds, I'm starting to think I favor the more mature dolls in the size. I'll post pictures when I have an outfit for her (because she currently doesn't have anything). Though, the owner I got her from was kind enough to send a wig so at least she has hair.

And she’s so cute! Paige from MoC did a fantastic job with painting the wig blue (from a dark crimson red). It’s glorious. It’s fantastic. And I honestly love the color more than what’s in the promo pics.

February 2017 BJD Update

•My Impldoll order from their anniversary event will soon arrive at my house. MoC's artist is almost done repainting my Dream Art's Quincy wig to the color I originally ordered (still wondering HOW Impldoll confused blue with red). •My Dollzone order from April 2016 still hasn't arrived. Surprise, Surprise. I figured that when DZ contacted me before Christmas and asked if a body switch was acceptable I would be getting Megumi soon. •And I found a fairy BJD that I like on the Secondary market and the owner is allowing me to pay in installments. She is a Soom Mixi but her wings are from a different sculpt of Soom's Fairy line. She's ultimately perfect for what I had in mind. •Back in February of 2015, I bought my first BJD doll so I've literally been part of the BJD hobby for 2 years~

So like many people, I went to go see Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Side of Dimensions in theaters. A few times XD There are plenty of people who have already posted reviews about it but I'm going to try to not give away any spoilers. This is literally my childhood. I went to see Digimon Tri in theaters last September with my best friend and while I enjoyed it, I did not grow up with Adventure. When the first Digimon series came out it aired on the weekdays at 3 pm when I was getting out of school. I only saw bits and pieces of Adventure, a bit more of Adventure 02, and all of Tamers (Frontier didn't catch my interest enough). I ended up watching Digimon Adventure later in life, mostly because of Tamers. But yeah, Yu-Gi-Oh! This series came out when I was 7 and I'm one of many (or few) that have been with this series since the airing of Duelist Kingdom. To see this series evolve into what it is today is simply remarkable and honestly unbelievable. I honestly enjoyed the movie. It was still in the typical 4Kids dubbing style but the script seemed to be closer to the original throughout the movie (and you can't say that's ever been true for Yu-Gi-Oh). Sure we had corny jokes but that's what made the movie fun. I really don't have anything negative to say about the movie. I'm sure I can pick some stuff out but why bother! In the end, I'm satisfied with it. Can we see how the other protags are doing?! GX and Zexal ended on a cliff hanger from Hell and IDK about Yusei, is the poor boy even alive!? Tell me!!
